Ms. Sarah Edith Henderson, 75, of 409 N. MacArthur Ave., Panama City, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at her home. She was a resident of Panama City, moving here from Dothan, Ala. Ms. Henderson retired from West Florida Gas Company. She is survived by two sisters, Thelma A. Kelly of Panama City and Johnnie Daugette of Crestview, Fla., and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, Nov. 30, 2001, from 2 until 4 p.m. Committal services will follow immediately after the visitation in the Chapel of Love Mausoleum in Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. FRANCES HUNT LAWRENCE
Frances Hunt Lawrence, 89, of Port St. Joe, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at Bay St. Joseph Care Center. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and grew up in Richmond, Va. She resided in Chattanooga, Tenn., for 30 years before returning to Port St. Joe. Mrs. Lawrence was a member of St. James Episcopal Church of Port St. Joe. Her first career was her family and later she was a floral designer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland F. Lawrence, and daughter, Margaret V. Lawrence. She is survived by her son, Raymond E. Lawrence and wife, Edwena, of Port St. Joe, Fla.; a sister, Kathryn E. Hunt of Port St. Joe; five grandchildren, Steven C. Lawrence and wife, Pam, of Port St. Joe, Raymond E. Lawrence Jr. and wife, Pam, of Watkinsville, Ga., David G. Lawrence and wife, Alicia, of Arcadia, Fla., Diane Thompson and husband, Michael, and Kathy Clay and husband, Phil, all of Newark, Ohio; and 13 great-grandchildren. Family visitation will be held at the St. James Parish Hall on Monday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m. followed by memorial services held in the sanctuary at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jerry Huft officiating.

FRANK McDONALD
Elder Frank McDonald, 46, of Lynn Haven, Fla., departed this earthly life on Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Bay Medical Center. Frank was born in Andersonville, Ga. Later his family moved to Miami, Fla., where he was raised. At the age of 18, he joined the United States Air Force. After traveling to various duty stations, he was stationed at Tyndall AFB in Panama City, Fla. He left the military in 1984 and made Lynn Haven, Fla., his home. Frank was ordained an elder of Fellowship Church of Praise in 1987. He was a faithful member for over 21 years. He worked as an insurance agent and was well-known throughout the community. He was preceded in death by his father, Isom Lee McDonald Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Melanie; six children, Lauren, Sarah, Frank II, Benjamin, Clinton, and Wesley; his mother, Rosa Mae McDonald; his mother-in-law, Della Jackson; his father-in-law, Joseph Jackson; three brothers, Isom Lee McDonald Jr. (Lou-Cindy), Louis B. McDonald (JoAnn), Isaac McDonald; seven sisters, Darlene Spivey (Marshall), Rachel J. McDonald, Mattie Bohanna, Deborah McDonald, Peggy Cooper (Thomas), Valerie Wedderburn, Patricia Kearse (William); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, in-laws and special friends. Funeral services for Mr. McDonald will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at 1 p.m. in the Fellowship Church of Praise with Pastors David and Vernette Rosier officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. The remains will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church. Public visitation will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. ARA NISHAN SERIAN
Ara Nishan Serian, 80, of Lynn Haven, Fla., died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, N.J., after becoming ill while visiting his son, Gregory, in Clinton Township, N.J. He was the son of the late John Onnig and Takouhi Maymarian Serian. He was born Sept. 2, 1921, in Manhattan, N.Y., and had lived in Queens, N.Y., before moving to Florida two years ago. He was a photo engraver for Alexander Engraving in Long Island, N.Y., for many years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving from 1942 to 1945 with the 8th Air Force 388th Bomb Group in England. He was a mechanic on B-17s. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Rose Manoogian Serian; three sons, Michael of Panama City, Steven of Hollis, N.H., and Gregory of Clinton Township, N.J.; one brother, Leo Serian of Dallas, Texas; and seven grandchildren. Calling hours were held Saturday, Nov. 24, with prayers at Scarponi-Bright Funeral home in Lebanon, N.J. 08833. Interment was private.

Mr. Trevor Ivor Thomas, 72, of 2531 E. 40th Plaza, Panama City, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, after many years of battling heart disease. Mr. Thomas was born July 14, 1929, in Paulsboro, N.J. He retired as a master sergeant from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service as a flight engineer. He then graduated from Glassboro/Rowan College in New Jersey. At that time, he relocated to Panama City and started his teaching career at Rutherford High School from 1971 until 1983, where Trevor spent 12 devoted years with his students whom he loved very much. Trevor was a member of St. Andrew Baptist Church. He also was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association, Veterans of Foreign War, Disabled Veterans, and the Retired Enlisted Association. He is survived by his wife, Betty Walsh Thomas of Panama City; a sister, Evelyn Lacobie of Thorofare, N.J.; his children, Jerry Parker and his wife, Sue, of Cedar Grove, Amber Elmore of Fayetteville, N.C., Glynda Whitford of Callaway, Ron Walsh and his wife, Lois, of Callaway; son-in-law: Jeff Bullard of Columbus, Ga.; grandchildren, Jerry Parker Jr., Holly Mercer, Chris Shehans, Scott Parker, Brandi Williams, Christi Whitford, Ronald Walsh, Ryan Blane, Nicole Whitford, Nathaniel Walsh, Jessica Walsh; great-grandchildren, Cory Mayer and Mattilyn Williams; a niece, Chris Dominguez; and a nephew, David Lacobie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivor and Lillian Thomas, originally from Maesteg, Wales, who later resided in Paulsboro, N.J.; and his wife, Doris C. "Dot" Thomas, of Panama City. Funeral plans are incomplete at this time and will be announced at a later date.

HATSUKO UMEZAWA DICKEY
Mrs. Hatsuko Umezawa Dickey, 77, of Callaway, Fla., died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, in a local healthcare facility. Born in Japan, she moved here in 1969 from a military tour in Germany. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Dickey had provided care for elderly people and attended church services at the Tyndall AFB Chapel where she socialized with many of her friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 20 years, James P. Dickey, who passed away in September 1983. Mrs. Dickey is survived by her daughter, Carol Dickey; grandson, Daniel J. Dickey, both of Callaway, Fla.; two sisters; and one brother. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at 1:15 p.m. in Barrancas National Cemetery.

Mrs. Kathy Milford of Youngstown, passed away Nov. 29, 2001, at her home. Kathy was born on May 3, 1956, in Chipley, Fla., and served in the U.S. Air Force from Aug. 22, 1974, until 1994 as a weather forcester. She was an avid animal lover and took many animals into her heart and home. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Mrs. Milford is preceded in death by her father, Bill W. Milford Sr. She is survived by two sisters, Dianne Routson and husband, Neil, of Youngstown, and Debbie Watkins and husband, Jerry, of Atlanta, Ga.; two nephews, Bill Milford Jr. and wife, Margie, of Youngstown and Jay Watkins of Atlanta, Ga.; one niece, Deidre Watkins of Atlanta, Ga.; one great-niece; Marisa Ann Milford of Youngstown.
