Lenora A. Driesbach, 87, of Port St. Joe, Fla., died on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at Gulf Pines Hospital in Port St. Joe. She was born in White Springs, Fla., on Nov. 25, 1913, to Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dawson. She attended Bethune Cookman College where she earned a degree in education. She taught school for many years at George Washington Elementary School in Port St. Joe, Fla. After the death of her husband, Raymond Dreisbach Sr., she became the owner and manager of Driesbach Cleaners. She is survived by two sons, Raymond (Lynn) Driesbach Jr. of Port St. Joe, and Chandler Driesbach of Panama City; three nieces, Geri Dawson of Honolulu, Hawaii, Willie Mae Gainous of Quincy, Fla., and Keturah Thompson of Daytona Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren. A brother and sister, Hindley Dawson and Julia Townsend, and also a granddaughter, Michelle Sims, preceded her in death. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at noon EST at New Bethel A.M.E. Church, 146 Ave. C in Port St. Joe. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. She will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the funeral.

Mrs. Louise B. Vaisnis, 85, of Panama City Beach, Fla., died Thursday morning, Nov. 15, 2001, in a local nursing home. Born in Taunton, Mass., she moved here in 1999 from Brockton, Mass. She was a seamstress and retired in 1981. She was Catholic by faith and was an active member of the Senior Sunshine Club in Panama City Beach. Her hobbies included making arts and crafts, embroidering, cooking and bingo. Her husband, John K. Vaisnis, preceded her in death. Mrs. Vaisnis is survived by one daughter, Pat Weber and husband, Richard, of Panama City Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Adela Furmanik of Taunton, Mass., and Marilyn Kasap of New Bedford, Mass.; two sisters-in-law, Jean Gontkiewicz of Taunton, Mass., and Lillian Labbate of Brockton, Mass; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at 3 p.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ben Klucinec officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Rich and Pat Weber following the services.

Mr. Willard Burch, 60, of Hard Labor Creek, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Bay County. He was Pentecostal by faith, a member of the Panama City Amateur Radio Club and a member of the Moose Lodge 1389. Mr. Burch is survived by his wife, Margaret Burch, of Panama City; sons, Curtis Burch and his wife, Renee, and Billy Burch and his wife, Barbara, of Panama City; brothers, Harvie Powell and J.W. Powell of Panama City; sister, Annie Bell Howard of Panama City; a stepson, Jack McCrary of Panama City; nine grandchildren, Lisa, Shannon, James, Austin, Corbin, Timothy, Michael, Jacob, Tara; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Charmire Burch; and a daughter, Barbara Ann Benson. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Shoots officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery

Lucy Whaley Dykes, 76, of Panama City, went peacefully to be with the Lord at her daughter's home in Southport, on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001. She had been a resident of Panama City since 1946 moving here from Tifton, Ga. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Ashley Dykes. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Ramsey of Southport, two sons, Quintin Dykes of Panama City, Sid Dykes and his wife, Gloria, of Southport, four grandchildren, Grant Dykes, Matthew Dykes, Keith Ramsey, Shawn Ramsey; four sisters, Virginia Alexander of Tifton, Ga., Catherine Baker of Adairsville, Ga., Wilma Newnam of Tampa, Fla., Geneva Strickland of Doerun, Ga., and numerous nieces and nephews.
