Funeral service for Stephen Pugh, 20, DeLeon Springs, who died Saturday, December 1, 2007, will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2007, at DeLeon Springs United Methodist Church, 265 Ponce DeLeon Blvd., with Pastor Bill Beebe officiating. Burial will be in Lake Dias Cemetery, DeLeon Springs. Calling hours are from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Lankford Funeral Home, DeLand.
Mr. Pugh was born in Baltimore, MD and came here 20 years ago from Maryland. He was a drywall installer.
Survivors include his mother, Marianne Pugh, brother, Phillip Pugh, and sister, Holly Pugh, all of DeLeon Springs.
Darin Michael West
April 27, 1965 - November 30, 2007
Funeral service for Darin Michael West, 42, who passed away November 30, 2007, at a private residence will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, at Lankford Funeral Home, 220 East New York Avenue, DeLand, with Pastor Peter Triolo officiating. Calling hours are from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Mr. West was born in DeLand and was a lifetime resident. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was self-employed in the construction business. He was a member of the Marine Auxilary and the AmVets.
Darin provided loving care for his children and was a great Dad. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends who have been by his side.
Darin was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Jack West and maternal grandparents, Michael and Virginia Prelec. Survivors include his son, Dakota West of DeLand and daughter, Cheyenne West of DeLand; mother, Diane West-Criche, brother, Adam West, stepfather, Dick Criche and stepbrothers, Chris and Curtis Criche, all of DeLand; aunts, Michele Burns of Delray Beach, Melodee Clarke of DeLand, Cindy Davis of Vero, Cheri Horton of Palm Beach Gardens, uncle, Michael Prelec of DeLand and paternal grandparents, Bill & Betty Heinman of South Florida.
Gordon Joseph Knott

Gordon Joseph Knott, 75, Orange City, died November 23, 2007 at his home. Family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Monday, November 26, at 1205 North Leavitt Avenue, Orange City.
Mr. Knott was born in Utica, NY and moved to this area in 1987 from Howell, Mich. He was the owner/operator of a successful installation business for 45 years and was a member of the Carpenters Union. He was a dedicated and hard-working man of principal and integrity. He will always be remembered for his ever present quick wit.

Betty Joann Johnson

Graveside service for Betty Johnson, known to many as Joann, who died peacefully in the presence of her family Thursday, November 22, 2007, will be 3 p.m. Friday, November 30, at DeLand Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Mike Francis officiating. Viewing will be Friday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand.
Born in Hurricane, WV, Betty moved to DeLand with her children in 1959. She worked for Sherwood Medical Industries as a quality engineering technician where she retired after 35 years of dedicated service.
Betty leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James E. Johnson; daughters, Donna Toothman, Sharon Hyles and Deborah Owens; granddaughters, Sara Kruger and Donna Clark; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn; brother, Charles, West Virginia and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Burke was born in Troy, NY and moved to this area in 1973 from Mechanicsville, NY. Beloved wife and devoted mother, she was an animal lover and a member of Tuesdays Knitters at DeLand Library and Artist of Month at Studio 308.

Mrs. Heath was born in Weirton, WV and moved here in 1993 from West Virginia. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Glenwood and enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Heath, New Cumberland, WV; parents, Shirley G. and Mary M. Burbridge, DeLand; two brothers, Russell Burbridge and Mike Burbridge, both of Orange City; and four sisters, Betty Carney, New Cumberland, Sandy Williams, Deltona, Shirl Sines, DeLand, and Lue Holback, DeLand. Mrs. Heath was predeceased by her son, Donald L. Heath Jr.

Mr. Razzetti was born in New York City, NY and moved to this area 8 years ago from Coral Gables, FL. A retired Director of Logistics for the U.S. Postal Service, he was a member of the Epiphany Catholic Church of Port Orange. He was extraordinarily dedicated to his family.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Louise Razzetti; son and daughter-in-law, Al and AnnaRita, DeLand; daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Ben Villalba, Coral Gables; and six wonderful grandchildren, Gabriella, Cristina, Alessandra, Michael, Richard and Robert.

Mrs. Davis was born in Memphis, TN and moved to this area 29 years ago from El Paso, Texas . She was a retired purchasing agent.
Survivors include her husband, three sons, one daughter and five grandchildren.

Donald J. Reed

Donald J. Reed, 87, DeLand, died November 16, 2007, at Florida Hospital DeLand. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who received the European Theatre of Operations Ribbon, two battle stars and a Purple Heart. Mr. Reed was born in Chicago, IL and moved to this area 3 years ago from Illinois. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa. He worked in Human Resources. He enjoyed reading and golfing.
Mr Reed was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Irene Reed. Survivors include his brother, Richard Reed, Las Vegas, NV and sisters, Patricia Downie of Irvine, CA and Mary Lou Ross of Illinois.
Rual Bernard Forsythe

Funeral service for Rual Bernard Forsythe, 85, Deltona, who died Saturday, November 10, 2007, at Golden Abbey ALF, Port Orange, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, at Lankford Funeral Home, 220 E. New York Ave., DeLand, with the Rev. Alvaro Jimenez officiating. Burial will be in DeLand Memorial Gardens. Calling hours are from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Lankford Funeral Home.
Mr. Forsythe was born in Taylorville, IL and moved here in 1951 from Springfield, IL. He was the owner of the KiKia Club in DeLand, and the founder of The Rual Forsythe Orchestra. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Deltona and loved to travel to the Bahamas and Las Vegas.
Survivors include three sons, Rual Joseph Forsythe, Paul Anthony Forsythe and Mark Howard Forsythe, all of DeLand; daughter, Anita Lynn King, Deltona, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Richard L. Mullins
March 23, 1936 - November 9, 2007
Memorial service for Richard L. Mullins, 71, DeLand, who died November 9, 2007, at Ridgecrest Manor, DeLand, will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 12, at Northside Baptist Church, DeLand. There will be a gathering of friends from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Mullins was born in El Dorado, Ark., and moved to this area 5 years ago from Sanford, FL. An Air Force Vietnam veteran, he served for 22 years. He was a Minister of Music for Northside Baptist Church in DeLand for 23 years.
Survivors include one son, Michael Mullins, DeLand and one brother, James Mullins, El Dorado, Ark.
