Mrs. Evelyn Mae Stallings, age 71, of 3718 E. 6th Plaza, Panama City, Fla., died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at a local hospital. She had been a resident of the area for 45 years, coming here from Anniston, Ala. Mrs. Stallings was a member of Springfield Community Church. She is survived by her sons: Jimmy Stallings, Danny Stallings, Gerald Stallings and his wife Pat, and Johnny Stallings all of Panama City; sisters: Gladys Haynes of Bynum, Ala., Mildred Gallagher of Chicago, Ill., and Audrey Alexander of Anniston, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 16, at Springfield Community Church with the Rev. J.W. Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Lynn Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, Dec. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m.

ENID C. TAYLOR
Enid C. Taylor born Nov. 22, 1938, departed this life on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at Bay Medical Center. Enid was born to the late Florence and the late Halod Gayle in Southfield St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. She met and later married the late Kenneth Antonio Lewis. Together they produced three of the greatest joys of her life, her children. She has lived in Jamaica and New York. Enid moved to Panama City in 1989 to reside with her loving daughter, Marcia. Her loving eyes and beautiful smile will be greatly missed by all that were blessed to know her. Her life and legacy will be carried on by her children: Marcia Lewis of Panama City, Michael (Simone) Lewis of Montego Bay, Jamaica and Patrick (Camille) Lewis of Panama City; one stepson, Neville (Peggy) Brown Sr. of Panama City; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters and one brother, all residing in Jamaica. Enid will be remembered by a special friend, Monell Daley (NY, NY). Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. in Battle Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Public visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 15. Ms. Mary Annette Raffield Thingvold, of Wewahitchka, Fla., died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, in a local hospital. Mrs. Thingvold is survived by two brothers, Leveral Sparkie Raffield and George Willias Raffield; nieces and nephews: David Raffield, Richard Raffield, Rita Raffield, Diane Joyner, Leveral Raffield, Ricky Raffield, Teresa Palmer, Edith Brownell, Joanna Raffield, and Ronald Raffield; aunts and uncles: Flora Lee, Estell White, Janet "Nettie" Homan, Nancy Dee Mauldin, Ruth Raffield, Lee Bolden Raffield, and J.B. Burch; and twenty grandchildren. Funeral services for Ms. Thingvold will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints. Mr. Larry Wayne Thompson, 49, of Fountain, Fla., died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at a local hospital. He had been a life-long resident of the area and was a member of Advent Christian Church. Mr. Thompson enjoyed racing and fishing. He is survived by his mother, Lena Thompson of Panama City; a daughter, Heather Thompson of Panama City; a brother, Johnny Thompson and his wife Suzie of Panama City; and sisters, Brenda Kirkland and her husband Edward of Nashville, Tenn., and Connie Hanna and her husband Jimmy of Panama City. He was preceded in death by his father, John C. Thompson; and a sister, Linda Sue Thompson Eastling. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services for Mrs. Brunes Mae Wynn, 88, of 812 Hamilton Ave., who died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, in a local hospital, will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at 1 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis Lamar officiating. Burial will follow in Redwood Cemetery. She became a Christian early in life where she joined Zion Baptist Church in Alabama. She later moved to Panama City in 1930 with her late husband, Jake Wynn, joining Macedonia Baptist Church and remaining a faithful member until God saw fit to take her home. She was an active member of the Mission Board and Pastor's Aide Society. Mrs. Dorothy Helen Moore, of Panama City, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, in a local nursing home. Born in Silver Creek, N.Y., she moved to Bay County in 1956 from Rochester, N.Y. Mrs. Moore was a retired teacher from Panama City Christian Day Care Center and a charter member of Central Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Miracle Chapter No. 306. Mrs. Moore is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Gordon E. Moore. She is survived by two sons, Robert Scott Moore and wife, Betty of Panama City Beach, George Dale Moore and wife, Robin of Panama City; one daughter, Nancy Dee Nichols of Panama City; one sister, Janette Merritt of Panama City; two grandchildren; Robert Fred Moore and wife, Patricia of Gainesville, Fla., Pamela Martineau of Virginia Beach, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. HOWARD WILLIAM REECE
Mr. Howard William Reece, 84, of 507 Virginia Ave., Lynn Haven, Fla., died Friday morning, Dec. 15, 2000, at his home. Born in Trade, Tenn., he moved here in 1993 from Ripley, Miss. He was a retired Church of Christ Minister and was a member of Jenks Avenue Church of Christ. He preached for 55 years throughout Virginia, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee. He received his college education at the Johnson Bible College in Kimberlin Heights, Tenn. and Milligan College in Milligan College, Tenn. His mother and father, four sisters and two brothers, precede him in death. Mr. Reece is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ann H. Reece of Lynn Haven; two sons, Jack Reece and wife Pam of Lynn Haven, James H. Reece and wife Christy D. of West Lafayette, Ind.; two brothers, Luther Reece of Piney Flats, Tenn., and James Reece of Hendersonville, N.C. ; four sisters, Vada Wells of Kodak, Tenn., Pearl Phillips, Margaret Sword both of Abingdon, Va. and Lucy Cohen of Middleburg, Va.; two grandchildren, Todd Reece and Tiffany Dubose. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. in Jenks Avenue Church of Christ with Mr. Jim Holsombake officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
