Mrs. Mary Lois Rogers, born in Cottondale, Fla., and retired from the Bay County School System, flew to be with the Lord Sept. 16, 2000, at her home with her family present. Her husband, L.D. Rogers, preceded her in death. She is survived by her four children: daughter, Loretta Merriet and husband Jimmy of Hollister, Fla., son, Donald Rogers and wife Aletha of Panama City, son, David Rogers and wife Ruby of Youngstown, and daughter, Susan Stringfellow and husband Don of Panama City; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Gracie Ivey of Sylacauga, Ala., Frankie Corbin of Chipley and Alean Rogers of Panama City; three brothers: R.D. Benefield of Dothan, Ala., W.D. Benefield and wife Barbara of Southport and Oscar Benefield of Houston, Texas. Funeral services will be held at noon today at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. R.C. Warren and the Rev. Buford Carter officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. from Pilgrims Rest Cemetery near Cottondale. Active pallbearers will be James Ivey, Jeremiah Jolley, Robert Benefield, James Benefield, Jerry Benefield, Daniel Stringfellow and Terry Rogers. Our love and memories will always be with us, Mom. We love you.

HELEN EDITH CARR SELLERS
Helen Edith Carr Sellers, 83, of Lynn Haven died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, in a local hospital. She was a retired inspector for Clinton Mills. She had been a resident of Lynn Haven since 1995 after moving here from Geneva, Ala. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Geneva and the Joyful Servants Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church of Panama City. Her husband, Martin Hamilton Sellers Jr., preceded her in death. She is survived by three daughters: Mary Helen Barnes and her husband Larry of Lynn Haven, Jennifer S. Roach and her husband Rex Jr. of Opelika, Ala., and Judith S. Tomberlin and her husband Steve of Birmingham, Ala.; five grandchildren: Christopher Martin Tomberlin and wife Lisa, Matthew Aaron Tomberlin and wife Andrea, David Hamilton Roach and fiancé Julie Parker, all of Birmingham, Dr. Rex Daniel Roach III and wife Lori of Mobile, Ala., and Amber Helen Barnes of Lynn Haven; great-grandson, Lucas Martin Tomberlin; twin brother, Herbert Carr and wife Lorene of Hartford, Ala.; brother, Hubert Carr and wife Ruth of Dothan, Ala.; sister, Sarah Maxwell of Nashville, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Friendship Baptist Church in Geneva. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the Girls Inc. of Bay County Scholarship Fund in memory of Helen Sellers.

ELIZABETH L. 'BETTY' HUFFMAN
Mrs. Elizabeth L. "Betty" Huffman, age 66, of Panama City, Fla., died on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at a local nursing home. Mrs. Huffman was born in Washington D.C. and had lived in Panama City since 1978, moving here from Camp Springs, Md. She was a member of the Time & Season Ministies of Panama City and was a devoted wife and mother who loved to shop and play bingo. Widowed since April 1999, Mrs. Huffman had a special relationship with her husband who she had known since they were both teenagers. She is survived by daughters, Kathy Jo Whitacre and her husband Michael of Clovis, N.M., Karen Jo Carden and her husband James of Panama City; a brother, Wallace Neitzey and his wife Janet of Fredericksburg, Va.; and six grandchildren, Darrell Whitacre, Cpl. Dennis Whitacre, Christy Pugliese and her husband Nick, Christopher Carden, Jennifer Carden and Nicole Carden. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 19, 2000, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lucy Holtzer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.

LOUIS CHARLES LIVECCHE SR.
Mr. Louis Charles LiVecche Sr., age 78, of 443 S. Palo Alto Ave., Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area since 1969, coming here from Buffalo, N.Y. Mr. LiVecche was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and served his country in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was still actively working as an administrator in area nursing homes. Mr. LiVecche is survived by his wife, Elizabeth LiVecche of Panama City; daughters, Terrie Prime of North Collins, N.Y., Cheryl Ann Geary and her husband Peter of Lawton, N.Y., Beth Wright and her husband Randy of Panama City, and Dawn Coceano and her husband Barry of Portland, Texas; sons, Louis Charles LiVecche and his wife Debbie of Lakeville, Minn., Anthony LiVecche and his wife Leesa, Dana LiVecche and Kraig LiVecche and his wife Sharon, all of Panama City; an adopted daughter, Cindy Rosebush of Panama City a sister, Lucy LaManna of Hamburg, N.Y.; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 20, at St. John's Catholic Church with Fr. Marty Bratek officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Dana LiVecche, Ian Coleman, Chris Wright, Mike Wright, Frankie Coatney and Tony Rosebush. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, Sept. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 2925 Highway 77, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Louis Charles LiVecche.

MILDRED REID WRIGHT
Mrs. Mildred Reid Wright, 96, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, the Rev. and Mrs. William A. Parsons Sr., in Wewahitchka. Mrs. Wright was a longtime resident of Tallahassee, Fla., and retired from the Florida State Comptroller's Office. She is survived by her only child, Helen R. Parsons and husband, the Rev. William A. Parsons Sr., of Wewahitchka. Other survivors are six grandsons, Dr. William A. Parsons Jr. and wife Leigh formerly of Panama City, now residing in Nashville, Tenn., Mr. Mark E. Parsons and wife Alta Jean of St. Augustine Beach, Mr. Gary C. Parsons and wife Karen of Tallahassee, Mr. Gregory A. Parsons and wife Susan of Tallahassee, Mr. Robert P. Parsons and wife Melissa of Ozark, Ala, and Mr. Richard R. Parsons and wife Ginger of Tallahassee; and 13 great-grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. EDT at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Tallahasee. Interment will follow. There will be no local viewing or visitation. Friends may call at 177 James Drive in Wewahitchka.

GLENN THOMAS BLILE
Mr. Glenn Thomas Blile, age 74, of 21420 Caribbean Lane, Panama City Beach, Fla., died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area for 12 years, coming here from Birmingham, Ala. Mr. Blile retired from the U.S. Navy in 1974, after a total of 30 years, including fleet reserve and active duty. He also served during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Pullman Standard Refrigerated Railroad Cars in Bessemer, Ala. Mr. Blile was Roman Catholic, a life member of the V.F.W. Post No. 1762 in Bessemer, Ala., a member of AARP, and of the Fleet Reserve Association. He is survived by his wife, Helen Blile of Panama City Beach; four sisters, Marian Wharmby and Helen Fetty, both of Canton, Ohio, Ruth Biedenbach of Alliance, Ohio, and Alice Lama of Lake Havsee, Ariz.; two brothers, John Blile of Louisville, Ohio and Roy Blile of Palmetto, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Blile was preceded in death by his parents, Urban and Alice Blile; and two brothers, Dale Blile and Donald Blile. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 21, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with military honors conducted by Tyndall AFB. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 22, at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Ala. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, Sept. 20, 2000, from 6 to 8 p.m.

EVELA LACKEY BOOTH
Mrs. Evela Lackey Booth, 85, of Wewahitchka, passed away Monday night, Sept. 18, 2000, in Panama City. She grew up in Austin, Texas, and had been a resident of Wewahitchka since 1954. She worked as a nurse at the Municipal Hospital in Port. St. Joe, until her retirement. Mrs. Booth was a member of First Baptist Church of Wewahitchka. Survivors include her son, Grady L. Booth and wife Lamar of Wewahitchka; two grandchildren, Grady Booth and wife Paula of Lynn Haven and Joel Booth and wife Eileen of Bonifay; two sisters, Ara Lamb and husband Donald of Noonday, Texas and Winnie Davis of Austin, Texas; two special nieces, Bobby Jo Helm and husband Bob of Nevada, Texas and Frances Shores and husband Carson of St. Joe Beach; a special nephew, Buddy McGill and wife Pauline of Port St. Joe and several other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. CDT Friday at First Baptist Church of Wewahitchka, conducted by the Rev. Mike Stroud and the Rev. Harry Johnson. Interment will follow in the family plot in Jehu Cemetery. She will lie in state at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and for one hour prior to the funeral on Friday.

Dorothy Elizabeth Thompson, 74, of 14240 Louise Drive, Southport, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, in her home. She had been a resident of Bay County since 1989 moving here from Tampa, Fla. She was a retired administrative secretary for the University of South Florida. She was a member of the Sunny Hills Baptist Church, the Gulf Coast Women's Club, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by her husband, Hubert Kenneth Thompson; two daughters, Patsy Ann Zediker and her husband, Fred B., all of Southport, Tracey Corry of Tallahassee, Fla.; son, Thomas Kenneth Thompson and wife, Dianne of Melbourne, Fla., five grandchildren, Freddie Zediker Jr., Kenneth Preston Zediker, Megan Elizabeth Corry, Ryan Douglas Corry, Jeremy Thomas Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Zachary Zediker, Abagayle Zediker; four brothers; Herschel Shoupe Jr., of Walterboro, S.C., Junior Shoupe of Wicksburg, Ala., Frank Shoupe of Lakeland, Fla., Sanders Shoupe of Prattville, Ala.; three sisters, Myrtle Lee of Lakeland, Lou Purvis, Margaret Hoats, both of Walterboro. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Eden officiating. Interment will follow in Vickery Cemetery, Cherokee, Fla. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Clara Paul Webb, age 95, of Panama City, passed away Sept. 18, 2000. Mrs. Webb was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Panama City. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at 10 a.m. in Peel Funeral Home Chapel in Bonifay with the Rev. Mitch Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Steverson Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home Chapel in Bonifay. Mrs. Webb was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Panama City. She was preceded in death by husband, John A. Webb; daughter, Catherine Webb; brother, Theron French; sisters, Estell Hall, Clora Miller, Xuripha Hand. She is survived by sons, Doyd and wife Vivian Webb of Panama City, Walter Webb of Chattahoochee, Paul Allen Webb of Warren, Ohio; daughters, Evelean and husband Frank Petrella of Joliet, Ill., Winifred Koontz of Crescent, Iowa; sisters, Marie Clark, Lillian Brannon, Dorah Johnson all of Bonifay; 10 grandchildren, Connie Simmons, Debbie Juhant, Clara Dickens, Allen Petrella, Larry Petrella, Michael Petrella, Jason Webb, Bradley Webb, Kristine Webb and Megan Webb; and seven great-grandchildren.
