Steele, Jr., Carroll Bradley

Army

Carroll "Bradley" Steele Jr. also know as "Mr. Road Map" of Hartly, Delaware died on Friday June 18, 2010 at Kent General Bay Health Hospital in Dover, Delaware.

He was 77.

Mr. Steele was born on March 5, 1933 in Tanyard, Caroline County, Maryland to the late Carroll Bradley and Blanche Phillips Steele Sr.

His passion for trucks as little boy on the family farm in Felton, Delaware developed into a truck of his own to haul milk to Pet Milk in Greensboro, Maryland.

When that became a thing of the past, he tried a couple of other things; but returned to his first love which was trucks.

He drove for General foods, the Rapid Distribution and retired from Mills Trucking after traveling to most of the states.

Bradley served his country in U .S, Army from 1955 to 1957.

He was stationed in Germany.

His greatest joy in later years were his grandchildren & great grand children.

He enjoyed camping and was belovedly nicknamed : Mr. Road Map" by his family, friends and fellow truckers.

He is preceded in death by his sisters: Virginia Drabbant and Marilyn Tuxward.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis Wallace Steele of Hartly of 52 years.

A son: Bret and his wife Polly of Hartly

Daughters: Connie Richard and her husband Michael of Hartly

Terry Kreer and her husband David of Hartly.

A brother Richard Steele of Felton

Ten grandchildren

Ten great grand children

Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM in the Trader Funeral Home Inc. 12 Lotus Street., Dover, Del.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday in the funeral home at 11 am.

Burial will be at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, Delaware.

The family suggest donation be given to Hartly Fire Company Ambulance Fund.

Baker, Hattie M.

Marines

Hattie M. Baker, 87, Blue Beach Drive, Dover, passed away Friday May 07, 2010 at her home Dover.

She was born on September 16, 1922 in Allentown, PA to the late Joseph and Jennie Maxwell Ziegler.

She was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church Dover. She was in the USMC as corporal in W W I I. She was a teacher in the Caesar Rodney school Dist. She enjoyed trips to the beach, going snow skiing and playing golf. Preceded in death by her husband Louis W. Baker and a son Douglas Mitchell "Mitch" Baker.

She is survived by Son and his wife, Michael Sr. and Vickie Baker of New Castle, DE. Daughter, Patty Baker of Dover, DE. Grandsons, Mike Baker of, AZ., Sean Baker of, DE. Granddaughter and her husband, Wendy and David Stamilio, M. D. of, MO. Great Granddaughter, Angela Marie Stamilio of, MO. Great grandson, Anthony David Stamilio of, MO. Niece, Lois Frank of, PA. Nephew and his wife, Ron and Linda Ziegler of, PA. Special caregiver, Melissa M. Greening of Dover, DE.

Remembrance Services will be held Thursday 05/13/2010 11 AM at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, DE Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery Camden, DE

Friends may call Wed. 05/12/2010 6 PM to 8 PM at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover.

Jobes, Dolories DEE

Dolories "Dee" L. Jobes, 79, Plum Drive, Magnolia, passed away Saturday April 03, 2010 at her home with her loving family surrounding her after a long courages battle with cancer.

She was born on February 04, 1931 in Kearny, NJ to the late Albert and Dora Liming Klaus.

Dee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She raised nine children, sold Avon products, enjoyed bingo, knitting and crochet, reading books.

She is survived by Son and his wife, Charles and Mary Ann Jobes, Sr. of Brick, NJ. Son and his wife, Joseph A. and Joyce Jobes of Magnolia, DE. Son and his wife, Donald and Linda Jobes of Milford, DE. Son and his companion, Edward A. Jobes and Melissa of Draper, VA. Son and his companion, Richard W. Jobes, I and Connie of Dover, DE. Daughter and her fiancee, Linda Harvey and Nick Barlow of Magnolia, DE. Daughter and her husband, Barbara J. and William Thompson of Magnolia, DE. Daughter and her husband, Shirley and Glenn Truitt of Harrington, DE. 28, Grandchildren, 31, Great grand children, 2, Great Great Grand Children, and many Nieces & Nephews, and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Joseph N. Jobes who died in 2000 and her daughter Carol Sue Sweeney who died in 2005.

Moyer, Cletus J.

Coast Guard Reserve

Cletus J. Moyer, 76, of Beech Dr., Dover, passed away Friday May 14, 2010 at KGH Bay Health Dover.

He was born on January 09, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA to Cletus and Anna Moyer.

He was a member of U. S. Cost Guard Reserve.

Mr. Moyer was a design supervisor at ILC with the Apollo space suit program.

He was with DuPont also. He graduated from Frankford High School in Philadelphia.

He also graduated from Dexel University and Villanova.

He is preceded in death by a daughter Deborah Moyer and son, Kenneth Moyer.

He is survived by Wife, Barbara Moyer, Son and his wife, James and Patti Moyer, Daughter and her husband, Lisa and Alan Ellis, Son and his wife, Cletus and Gail Moyer, Former daughter in Law, Daphne Moyer Baum, Brother and his wife, Robert and Joann Moyer, 7, Grandchildren, 1, Great Granddaughter.

Remembrance Services will be held Wed. 05/19/2010 1 PM at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, DE

Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover, DE
