Kyle, Robert Irvin

Robert Irvin Kyle, 92, of Magnolia, passed away Thursday September 23, 2010 at his home with his family.
He was born on October 5, 1917 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Robert and Catherine MacLean Kyle.
Mr. Kyle, retired, self employed and was an oil contractor in the Philadelphia area. He was a Mason and Shriner with the Hamby Lodge in Springfield, PA. He was a member of the Nur Temple Yacht Club. He is preceded in death by his first wife of 62 years Charlotte Kyle and his son David Robert Kyle.
He is survived by his Wife of 7 years, Elizabeth L. Kyle of Magnolia, DE. Daughter, Roberta "Bobbie" Kyle Coley of Magnolia, DE. 4, Grandchildren, 4, Great grand children.
A Memorial service will be announce at the convenience of the family.

Ridgeway, Earl J. "Lovie"

Earl J. Ridgeway, Jr., "Lovie"', of Smyrna, passed away Tuesday June 22, 2010 peacefully at his home. Mr. Ridgeway was 80 years old.
He was born on July 31, 1929 in Cheswold, DE to the late Earl J. and Bessie Edna Mosley Ridgeway, Sr..
He served in the U.S. Army in 1951 and was Honorably discharged in 1953. Mr. Ridgeway who was also known as "Lovie" was an outdoor person. He loved to hunt, work in the garden and plant flowers. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had two special friends Frank Evans of Dover, and Frank Deshields of Smyrna. Mr. Ridgeway was preceeded in death by his wife Annaetta Ridgeway, two sons David and Mark Ridgeway and a daughter Robin Ridgeway.
He is survived by his son, Garry and wife Gail Ridgeway of Dover, his son, Roger and wife Dee Ridgeway of Dover, a sister, Lola Gibbs of Lansdale, PA, a grandson, Travis and wife Kristen Ridgeway of Dover, grandson Roger and wife Laura Ridgeway, Jr. of Dover, granddaughter Tori Ridgeway of Dover, great-grand children, Talley, Madison, Rylee, Trevor and Shelby Ridgeway.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, June 26 at 12:00 pm at the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Cheswold. Burial will be at the Immanuel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mary C. Rash, 94, Forrest Ave., Dover, passed away Wednesday March 24, 2010 at Delaware Hospice Center Milford.
She was born on May 28, 1915 in Marydel, DE to the late Albert and Edith Scuse Comegys.
She was a member of Marydel Calvary Methodist Church. Mrs. Rash was a secretary for Pure Oil Co. and Kent Sussex Oil Co. for many years.
She is survived by her Husband of 72 years, Presly D. Rash of Dover, DE. Son, Presly A. and his wife Betty Rash of Dover, DE. Brother, Wilbert "Doc" Comegys of Dover, DE. Brother, Albert "Bud" Comegys of Hartly, DE.

Helen F. Meleri, 87, formally of Dover, passed away Saturday May 22, 2010 at Pinnacale Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center Smyrna.
She was born on December 02, 1922 in Shenandoah Valley, VA to the late Isaac and Lethia Mowbray Knick.
Helen lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed family events, camping, and gardening. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry Meleri, Jr. and a daughter Judy Skadsberg, and her son Steven Meleri.
She is survived by Son, David H. Meleri of Dover, DE. Brother, Clinton Knick of Hagerstown, MD. Brother, Harold Knick of Cumberland, MD. Brother, Isac Knick, Jr of Paulestine, TX. James R. Paris, 75, Dover, passed away Monday October 18, 2010 at his home with family in Dover.
He was born on February 04, 1935 in Leighton, PA to the late Clarence and Brace Hawn Paris.
Mr. Paris was a retired U.S.A. F. SMSGT load master with the Meritorious Service Medal after 26 years of service. He attended Capital City Church of Christ. He enjoyed NASCAR, RVing, and loved spending time with his grand children. He is preceded in death by his brother Frances Paris.
He is survived by his Wife of 55 years, June M. Paris of Dover, DE. Son and his wife, Richard J. Paris and Rhonda Record Paris of Dover, DE. Son and his wife, Rick L. Paris and Kathy Bennett Paris of Dover, DE. Brother and his wife, Charles A. and Betty Jane Paris of Williamsport, PA. Sister and her husband, Helen L. and Richard E. Harbold of Harrisburg, PA. Roock, Florence Margaret Ann
Florence Margaret Ann Meyer Roock, 92, Dover, DE, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, after a brief illness.
Florence was born to William and Charlotte Emilie (Kirchoff) Meyer in Concordia, MO on March 14, 1917.
She attended St. Paul's Lutheran School and was graduated from Concordia High School.
She excelled in academics and would have loved to have attended college.
Florence married a Nebraskan, Rev. John C. Roock of Borger, TX, in December 1940, in Concordia, MO.
They were blessed with 5 children.
Her husband's career as Lutheran pastor took them from Borger, TX in 1947 to Brownwood, TX; in 1952 to Houston, TX; in 1954 to Conover, NC; and in 1962 to Dover, DE.
She was blessed with an inquisitive mind and a great memory.
She enjoyed handwork and quilting, crossword puzzles, the study of history and Bible, among numerous interests.
She treasured each gift she received during life and enjoyed creating a special gift for each grandchild.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Dover, DE, where her husband served as pastor from 1962-1980.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, to whom she was married for 50 years; a daughter (Ann Roock Wrenn), and a son (Carl Roock). She is survived by: a brother Floyd (Marjorie) Meyer of Kansas City, MO; 2 sisters-in-law (Peggy Meyer of Kansas City, MO and Louise Roock of Anaheim, CA); 3 children - John (Barbara) Roock of Bluffton, SC; Mark (Janet) Roock of St. Louis, MO; and Karen (Jan) Melhunek of Easton, MD; son-in-law Tommy Wrenn of Fredericksburg, VA; daughter-in-law Josie Roock of Dover; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, March 8, 2010, 6-8 p.m. at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street in Dover.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, March 9th, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 113 Lotus Street Dover, DE
