Seaford, Delaware - Domenica D'Aquila Age: 94
Domenica D'Aquila, 94, died Sunday, March 14, 2004, at Berlin Nursing Home in Berlin. Born December 20, 1909, in Alvito, Italy, she was a daughter of Ferdinando and Maria Catencci Brusco. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank D'Aquila.
She is survived by her son, Donald E. D'Aquila, and his wife, Jean, of Berlin; and her grandchildren, Donald G. D'Aquila, of Seaford, Ronald L. D'Aquila, and his wife, Dawn, of Baltimore, Daniel M. D'Aquila, and his wife Jenny, of Mt. Crested, Butte, Colorado, and Lisa Ann Jones, and her
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at 7:30 PM at Holloway Funeral Home, with viewing from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Entombment will follow at a later date, at Allegheny Cemetery, 4734 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, PA.

Angelo Calandra
Age 85, of Newark, DE and Philadelphia, PA passed away on April 20, 2008. He is survived by his son, Robert Calandra of Philadelphia, his daughter, Jeanmarie Generelli; two grandson and three great grandchildren; his sisters, Lillian Saggese, Lucille Yotsko and Gloria Rawlings with whom he resided; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances. He will be sadly missed by all of those who loved him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on 11 AM on Friday, April 25th at Holy Angeles Church, 82 Possum Park Road where friends and family are invited to visitation after 10 AM. Interment will be private.
Richard W. Backora
Age 83, of Fenwick Island, DE, formerly of Kensington, MD, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2007, at home.
He was born in New York, NY. He retired after 28 years of government service as an Armament Equipment Branch Head for the Naval Air Systems Command. He also spent 15 years in the private sector as a staff and project engineer with Thiebolt Aircraft, Republic Aviation, and Melpar Inc. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, in Bethany Beach. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 166, Ocean City, The American Philatelist Association, Academy of Model Aeronautics, Lewes R.C. Club, and the Sussex County Stamp Club. He was a WWII Navy veteran, and also served in the Marine Corps.
He is predeceased by his parents Charles and Ella Hupak Backora, and son, Richard W. Backora, Jr., who passed in 1987. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Virginia T. Backora, of Fenwick Island, DE; son Robert J. Backora, of Baltimore, MD; 2 grandsons, Richard W. Backora III and Alexander K. Backora, and 2 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4 pm, Wednesday, May 2, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, DE, with Father Michael Darcy officiating. Friends may call at 12 noon to 2 pm at the HASTINGS FUNERAL HOME, Selbyville, DE. Interment will be at 1 pm, on Tuesday, June 5, at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.

Caban, Blanca I.
DOVER -- Blanca E. Caban, of Dover, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003 in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 45.
Mrs. Caban was born in Puerto Rico on October 1, 1957.
She owned and operated LaFamilia Pizza in Dover until her disability in 2001 when she sold her business.
Mrs. Caban was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dover.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Milagros Maria Antongiorgi in 1996.
She is survived by her mother Josephine Roman and step father Ismael Roman both of Orlando, FL, her father Felix Betanourt of Puerto Rico, a son Ismael M. Caban of Dover, two daughters Josephine Ann Caban and Margarita Valle both of Dover, a brother Juan Betancourt of Dover, a daughter-in-law Patricia Staats of Dover, grandchildren Mallarie Klooster of Dover,
and Kevon (Chiripa) Hayslett, a Godson Christian Martinez of Dover, a niece Erica Betancourt and a nephew Matthew Rios both of Brooklyn, NY.
Friends may call 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Dover.
Cahall, Agatha Hughes Voshell
CAMDEN -- Agatha Hughes Voshell Cahall, of Camden, died Monday, October 28, 2002 in her home. She was 97.
Mrs. Cahall was born on April 26, 1905, in Felton, Delaware, daughter of the late William and Susie (Moore)Hughes.
She had worked as a secretary for the State Board of Education.
Mrs. Cahall was a member of the Whatcoat United Methodist Church, Camden.
She is predeceased by her first husband George C. Voshell and her second husband Claude N. Cahall.
She is survived by her daughter Georgeann O. Williams of Lewes, a step daughter Marjorie Minner of Seaford, two sisters-in-law Margaret Voshell Lingo of Dover and Isabelle Hughes of Felton, a granddaughter Linda O. Brizendine of Hockessin, a grandson Lyle N. Oggenfuss of Wilmington, great grandchildren Jonathan Brizendine, Amadan Brizendine and Gretchen Brizendine all of Hockessin.
Burial will be private.

Hilda (Sutherly) Indellini
"Grace"
Grace of New Castle, DE formerly of Virginia, died suddenly on Saturday, May 8, 2004 at Christiana Hospital.
She was a wonderful homemaker devoted to her family. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church and with the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband Milio who passed in 2001. She is survived by her son, Danny Indellini and his wife Paula of New Castle; her daughter, Cindy (Thomas) Masilotti and her husband Jim of Bear; 4 grandbabies, Sabrina and Dawn Thomas, Matthew Indellini, and Jessica Masilotti; and 1 great grandbaby Isaiah Thomas.
She will always be remembered for her kind and gentle way and her loving caring heart.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear on Friday morning, May 14th at 11 a.m. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 34 West 6th St., New Castle on Friday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. Interment in adjoining cemetery.
