Age 69, of Wilmington, DE, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 7, 2013.
Born in Johnstown, PA, Olneyetta was the daughter of the late Olney and Olive (Snyder) Seese. Her daughter, Dana Darden, predeceased her last May. She was also predeceased by seven siblings.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 52 years, Joseph J. Downs; her children, Joseph J. Downs, Jr. and wife Carol of Glenolden, PA, Denise Casey and husband Kevin of Aston, PA, James Downs of Wilmington, DE, Diana Bannon and husband Michael of Boothwyn, PA, and Gregory Downs of Upper Darby, PA; her son-in-law, Brent Darden; her sister, Olive "June" Ashcom; 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to visitation on Saturday, May 11th between 9:30 and 11 AM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington where funeral services will begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.

KATHLEEN A. "KATHY" MCFADDEN MADISON, 67, of Wilmington, DE passed away on May 3, 2013 after a long, brave battle with cancer. Much-loved mother, grandmother, companion, friend, teacher, counselor, volunteer, artist…She is survived by her companion Arthur Halprin, her children Jenifer and David Campbell, and Brandon and Colleen Madison, as well as her grandchildren, brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Kathy's Life on Sat., May 11th, at the Goodstay Center, University of Delaware, 2600-2800 Pennsylvania Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19806. Schrope, Margaret
Margaret Schrope, age 101, of Smyrna, DE; passed away peacefully in her home, on April 28, 2013, surrounded by her daughter, Viola M. Jester; granddaughter, Doris A. Carden & her husband, Michael, and 4 Great-Grandchildren.
Mrs. Schrope was born, July 24, 1911 in Philadelphia, PA.to the Late- Harry and Anna(Kalp) Groff. She enjoyed crocheting doilies, cooking, canning food, dancing, and spending time with family.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin W. Schrop, Sr., who passed away in 1997.
She is survived by 3 Children, Viola M. Jester, of Smyrna; Irvin(Buckie) Schrope, Jr. & his wife- Naomi, of Nixa, MO.; and John Bradbury, of Williamstown N.J. 37 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren & 36 great-great-grandchildren.

Wilson, Edith M.
Edith M. Wilson "Bunny" of Newark, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 26, 2013. Bunny was the daughter to the late John & Edyth Wardell of Wilmington, DE on August 6, 1939.
Bunny retired from the 911 Center as an Emergency Call Operator Coordinator for New Castle County after 20 years. Her natural ability to relate to people from every walk of life was one of her greatest attributes. Bunny's true passion was working with children. Bunny was a school crossing guard in Newark for many years and was affectionately known by the children as "Miss Bunny". One of Bunny's greatest achievements was being the East Coast Coordinator for Safety Town which she brought to Delaware in 1983.
Bunny will be sadly missed by her brother, John E. Wardell (Wanda) of Apopka, FL, her sister, Evelyn J. Janvier of Newark, DE, her sister Barbara Joan Watson (Melvin) of Wilmington, DE, her sister, Sandra J. Wardell of Bronx, NY, Jimmie F. Wardell (Sara), of Millsboro, DE and numerous nieces and nephews Her daughter, Deborah L. Camponelli (Anthony and his daughter Victoria) of Wilmington, DE and Susan L. DiRusso of Smyrna, DE; and the true loves of her life, her granddaughter Gabrielle DiRusso and grandson Zachary DiRusso.
Bunny is predeceased by her parents, John E. and Edyth M. Wardell, her sister, Dorothy Moffett, her brother, Donald E. Wardell, her sister Eileen Moffett, her brother Kenneth R. Wardell, and her son, James H. Wilson, III.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Bunny's life on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.at Ursuline Chapel located at 1106 Pennsylvania Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19806.

Ingram, Helene A.
Helene A. Ingram of Dover passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009 in her home. She was 84.
Helene was born on March 11, 1925 in Georgetown, Delaware, daughter of the late Raymond and Pauline (Fiester) Ingram.
She served her country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. She was an AIRVAC nurse during the Korean War. Helene was a member of the Retired Military Nurses Association and remained in contact with fellow nurses throughout the years.
Helene enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and reading. During her military career, she lived in Spain, Philippines, Hong Kong and traveled throughout the world.
She is survived by a sister Ruth Courtright of Dover, three nieces Helene Madden of Camden, Sandra Handy of Seaford and Paula Remington of Middletown, great nieces Helene A. Miller of Dover, Nicole Morris of Marydel, Christina Handy of Seaford and Paula Sachs of Worster, Mass, great great nieces and an extended family of friends and her faithful Lhasa Apso companion "Jossie".
Services with military honors were private.

Allen, Jr., James O.
Age 78, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Seasons Hospice.
Born in Milledgeville, GA, James was the son of the late Thelma Joe (Brown) and James Ollie Allen, Sr. He served his country proudly in the US Air Force, retiring as Tech Sergeant after 22 years of service. Afterward, he worked as an engineer for the DuPont Company. His wife of 46 years, Dianne (Holmes) Allen, predeceased him.
He will be dearly missed by his son, Jonathan K. Allen of Bear, DE; his daughter and son-in-law, Valerie E. A. and Mark Buckholdt of Bear, DE; his sister, Barbara Anne Holmes of Virginia Beach, VA; his grandchildren, Caleb and Jordan; and extended family in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Hasted, Arthur "Art" G.
age 75 of Wilmington, De. passed away on April 27, 2013 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Art was born on July 20, 1937 in Oil City, Pa. to Arthur and Catherine (Schettler) Hasted Metz and stepfather William M. Metz. He attended Gannon College in Erie, Pa. and was in Army ROTC. Later he served in the 5th Army 18th Missile Battalion Air Defense, Nov. '56 to Nov. '58. He chose a career in the printing/packaging industry and retired as an account executive from International Paper in 2003.
From his youth he loved being outdoors and was attracted to the hunting and fishing that was so available to him in northwestern Pennsylvania. He pursued those passions to 45 out of 50 states and all of the provinces in Canada; including above the Arctic Circle. He also enjoyed deer management and farming. As captain/owner of the Blue Fin II, he ran fishing charters out of Indian River Inlet. On February 25, 1992 he was received into the Third Order of Saint Francis, San Damiano Fraternity. He always considered himself a Franciscan.
Art will be dearly missed by his wife of 53 years, Nancy L. (Baird) Hasted; his children Catherine (Hasted) Shore of Sedona, Az., her daughter Christina of Mt Hood, Or.; Art and his wife Kathy Ann (Ledgerwood) Hasted of Oxford, Pa., and their children, Sara and Arthur; and James and his wife Jenny (Cross) Hasted of Earleville, MD and their two and a half year old daughter, River. Also attending is Joseph and Sherry (Novinger) Baird of Hummelstown, Pa. Thomas and Kathy (Birsa) Schettler; Dick and Patty (Schettler) Snyder; William and Kim (Settlemire) Schettler; and Stephen "Sam" Schettler; all of Oil City, Pa.; and Mary (Hasted) Shields of Santa Fe, Nm.
Visitation will be from 10-11 on Thursday, May 2nd followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Shipley and Weldin Roads, Wilmington, 19803. Thorpe, Pamela
Pamela Lynn Thorpe, 54, lost her three year battle with cancer on April 26, 2013.
She was the daughter of the late Glen G. Kirby and Emma Jean Baker.
Pamela was preceded in death by two brothers, Rick and Tim Kirby, her paternal grandparents Pearlie & Dollie Egnor, maternal grandparents Daniel C & Leola Wood McBride.
She worked for the State of Delaware for many years at DHCI and the Herman Holloway Campus.
Pamela was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and NASCAR. She was a longtime member of the Goldsboro Volunteer Fire Company.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth (Rusty) Thorpe of Dover and their beloved dog, Baby Bella, step-daughter Lynn Madden (Jason) of Hartly, DE, children, Sherry Parks (Ricky) of Henderson, MD, Jennifer Dill (Alec) of Camden, DE, John Lloyd (Lisa) of Felton, DE, four brothers, Sam, John, Terry and Mike and one sister Carolyn, grandkids, Michael Golt, Kyle Parks, Monica Parks, Ian Lloyd, Cheyenne Madden, Aidan Dill and Jayden Lloyd, three best friends, Cathy, Diane and Debbie, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing will be 7-9 pm Wednesday, May 1 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Service will be 11:00 am Thursday, May 2 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Pippin Funeral Home to help offset the funeral costs.
