Services were Friday, Oct. 6 at Faries Funeral Chapel, Smyrna.
Burial was in Old Drawyers cemetery, Odessa.

Crandell, David Robert - Federalsburg, Md. Died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000 at age 47.
He was a restaurant cook. Survived locally by a son, Chadwick Crandell of Dover.
Services were Wednesday, Oct. 4 at Framptom-Hawkins-Eskow Funeral Home, P.A., Federalsburg, Md.
Burial was in Eastern Shore Veterans cemetery, Beulah.

Hall, Florence Vernotico - Wilmington, formerly of Milford.
Died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000 at age 77.
She was a waitress at several restaurants in Wilmington and Middletown, retiring in 1994 from the Milford Senior Center Cafeteria.
Services were Wednesday, Oct. 4 at Rogers Funeral Home, Milford.
Burial was in Forest cemetery, Middletown.

Latavitz, Nicholas A. - Clayton. Died at birth Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000.
He was the son of Joseph A. Latavitz III and Janinne Wright Latavitz of Clayton.

She worked as an assembly worker for Leeds Travelwear in Clayton.
Survived locally by a daughter, Martha Cordray of Dover; two grandaughters and their spouses, Cheryl and Duane Evans of Dover, and Patricia and Larry Sterling of Wyoming.
Services were Friday, Oct. 6 at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, Millington.
Burial was in Asbury cemetery, Millington.

She was born June 23, 1995 in Haiti, the daughter of Mark and Irene Legros of Milford.
She was a student at Head Start Kindergarten, Milford.
Services were Saturday, Oct. 7 at Milford Church of the Nazarene, U.S. 113.
Burial was in Odd Fellows cemetery, Milford.

Smith, Freeman Russell - Died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000 at age 65.
He was an airborne electronics specialist with the 436th Military Airlift Wing, U.S. government civil service, for more than 35 years, retiring in 1988.
Services were Saturday, Sept. 23 at Lofland Funeral Home, Milford, where Masonic services were also held on Friday, Sept. 22.
Burial was in Odd Fellows cemetery, Milford.

Sobocinski, Ann Marie - Hockessin. Died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000 at age 53.
She was a homemaker and a legal secretary.
Survived locally by a son, Edward Sobocinski of Dover.
Services were Friday, Sept. 22 at St. Anthony's of Padua Church.
Burial was in the adjoining church cemetery.

Services were Thursday, Oct. 5, at Bethel U.M. Church cemetery, Bethel.

Stephens, Loren A. - Milford. Died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000 at age 40.
He was a taxidermist.
Services and burial were private.

He worked for many years at Doxsee Clam Factory as a clam shucker until the plant closed down due to a fire.
Survived locally by a daughter, Subrina Powell of Dover and a son-in-law, Darian Powell of Dover.
Services were held on Thursday, Sept. 28 at Friendship Baptist Church, Lewes.
Burial was in Friendship Baptist cemetery, Lewes.

Stover, Stacy H. - Smyrna. Died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000 at age 74.
He worked at General Motors for many years and was an active part of his son's companies, Stover Builders and WSJS enterprises for over 25 years.
Services were on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at Immanuel Methodist Church, Townsend.
Burial was in Townsend cemetery.
Sweetman, Elsie Powell
Sweetman, Elsie Powell - Golts, Md. Died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000 at age 83.
She helped her husband farm and operate the family logging business. She also worked at Playtex and Belbers, (which later became Leeds Travel Wear) for 23 years.
Survived locally by a daughter, Kathy Sweetman of Dover; and a son, Douglas Sweetman of Kenton.
Services were Monday, Sept. 25 at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, Middletown.
Burial was in Townsend cemetery.

Burton, Alexander Jr. – North Crest. Died Saturday, April 15, 2000 at age 61.
Was an employee of Delmarva Power and Light for 35 years and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Survived locally by a brother Stanley Burton of Frederica.
Mass was at noon on April 19 at the Church of the Holy Child, Wilmington.
Interment was at All Saints cemetery.

Clark, Christopher Eric – Smyrna. Died Friday, April 14, 2000 at age 26.
Graduate of Smyrna High School and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Clayton.
He is survived locally by a sister, Michelle L. Barrett of Dover and nieces and nephews Joshua, Lauren and Matt Barrett of Dover.
Services were at 2 p.m. on April 18 at Short Funeral Home, Laurel. Burial was in Blades cemetery.

Demby, Virginia Inez Milligan – Denton, Md. Died Sunday, April 16, 2000 at age 68.
Was a member of the Metropolitan United Methodist Church, Denton where she held several positions in the church and the Parent Teachers Association.
She is survived locally by sister Frances E. Glass of Dover and son Granville Bernard Demby of Dover.
Service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 20 at St. Luke United Methodist Church, Denton.
Burial will be in East New Market.

Graybeal, Paul E. – Easton, Md. Died Friday, April 14, 2000 at age 80. Graduated from Rising Sun High School in 1936.
Later graduated from Yale University in 1941 with a chemical engineering degree.
Survived locally by sister Ruby Hickman of Dover.
Memorial service was at 1 p.m. on April 17 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Easton.
Burial was private.
