John Joseph Kane, Jr.
Age 42, died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 28, 2006 in Carlisle, PA.
John was a graduate of St. Mark's High School in 1982, and attended Goldey Beacom College, and Delaware Technical & Community College. He worked for AIG for 15 years, and Amazon.com for 4 years.
He will be dearly missed by his friends at 11th Ward, Polish Library, and the Polish American Civic Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Christine Kane Sr. He is survived by his sister, Karen Kane; his brothers, Jodi Kane, and his wife, Jessica, and David Kane; 1 niece; and 3 nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, 4th & Bancroft Parkway, Wilmington on Friday October 6th at 2 pm.
Interment will be private.

Solomon James Caleb
Age 57, of Lincoln University, PA, passed away, Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at the Jennersville Regional Medical Center.
He was the husband of Jacqueline Bryant Caleb. Born February 28, 1949 in Dorchester, SC, he was the son of Daisy Thomas Caleb of Rochester, WA and the late Wesley Daniel Caleb. He moved to Coatesville in the early 1950s, where he graduated from the Coatesville Area High School in 1968. He later attended Brandywine Junior College and then West Chester University. He grew up in the Historical Hutchinson UAME Church of Coatesville. He later joined the Oxford Presbyterian Church, where he was active in the Building Committee.
Survivors include, besides his mother and his wife, best friend, Jacqueline Bryant Caleb; 3 sisters; 1 brother; his mother and father-in-law; and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Leidda Caleb.
An Uplifting Life Celebration will be held on Friday, October 6, 2006, at 11 am at the Oxford Presbyterian Church, 6 Pine Street, Oxford, PA. Interment will be held privately. Friends may greet the family from 10:30-11 am Friday at the church.

Marcos Acevedo
Marcos was taken by the lord on Friday, September 29, after a lengthy illness.
Marcos was born in Aricebo, Puerto Rico on December 22, 1927, and lived there until he moved to New York to be with his brothers in the early 50s. Marcos worked at the factories in New York until he finally made his way to Delaware, where he spent most of his life. He was always surrounded by family.
He will be deeply missed by his brother, Gilbert Acevedo, of Wilmington, DE; his sister, Mercedes Acevedo, of San Juan, Puerto Rico; nephews William and Hector Acevedo, of Orlando, FL; nephew Robert Acevedo, of Stanton, DE; nephew Gilbert Acevedo, and family, of Honolulu, HI; and nieces Nancy Hubbard and Patty Acevedo, both of Wilmington, DE.
A gathering will be held Friday, October 6, from 1-3 pm at CORLETO LATINA FUNERAL HOME, 808 North Union Street. A burial will be held privately later this month in Puerto Rico. For more information please call 302-652-6642.

Robert T. Hoover, Sr.
Robert T. Hoover, Sr., age 66, of Dunlinden Acres, Wilmington, DE, died Wednesday, October 4, 2006, in the Christiana Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Hoover was a warehouse manager for Executone for 20 years, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting baseball memorabilia and was a huge New York Yankees fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Barbara A. Hoover; his son, Robert T. Hoover, Jr., and his wife, Debby, and their children, Bobby and Amber; his daughter, Janet Robinson, and her husband, Mark, and their children, Jennifer and Michelle; his brothers Billy and Larry Hoover; and his sisters Nancy Whal, Judy Throwbridge, Annette Marta, Rosemary Shupp, and Sandy Mshar.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road on Saturday, October 7, at 10:30 am. Maryanne Bowers
Age 63, of Newark, DE, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2006.
She was a secretary in the Department of Education at the University of Delaware for over 30 years.
Maryanne is survived by her husband of 36 years, Ronald E. Bowers, Jr.; 2 daughters, Michelle Lee Meckley and her husband, Kevin, of Middletown, and Sherri Lynn Suhr and her husband, Marcus, of Bear; her brother, James Unsworth of New Castle; 2 sisters, Joyce Humbertson and Patti Unsworth, both of New Castle; and 3 grandchildren, Carly, Mitch, and Chase, the Sunshines of her life.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2006, at 1 pm at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3710 Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Road, where family and friends may call after 12 noon. Interment will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
