Anne Lucy (D'Angelo) Shulli
Age 90, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2007 in the Wilmington Hospital.
Mrs. Shulli, born on July 17, 1916 in Wilmington, DE, was the daughter of Giussepine (Crescenti) and Salvatore D'Angelo. Mrs. Shulli was a waitress for approximately 35 years for many of the private establishments, including the Greenville Country Club and the University and Whist Club. She was also a banquet waitress for Piane's, the Cavaliers Country Club, St. Anthony's Club, Wilmington Country Club, and the Mendenhall Inn. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing Bingo, faithfully watched jeopardy and Lawrence Welk, and, most of all, loved cooking Italian dinners and sharing them with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Gropp, and her husband, Lawrence, of Wilmington; her son, John Shulli, of Wilmington; her daughter, Viola McLaren, and her husband, Norman, of Wilmington; her sister, Mary Biondi, of Kennett Square, PA; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Moore, and her husband, John, Christopher Gropp, and his wife, Stephanie, Erik Gropp, Liz Salter, John Shulli, Gillian Farrell, Brian Shulli, Paul Shulli, and his wife, Jen, and Rachel McLaren. Mrs. Shulli is also survived by her 6 great grandchildren, Haley, Henry, Charlotte, and Beatrix Moore, and Olivia and Sebastian Gropp. She was predeceased by her husband, John, who passed away on December 31, 1958; her brothers, Tiberuis and Vincent D'Angelo; her sister, Jenny Palandrani, Rose Larosche, Viola D'Angelo, and Edith Stauffer; and her sister-in-law, Giulia DiFrancescantonio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and Dupont Streets, Wilmington, on Wednesday, June 13, at 11:30 am. A viewing will be held at CORLETO-LATINA FUNERAL HOME, at 808 North Union Street, Wilmington, on Wednesday, June 13, from 9-11 am. Burial will be in Cathedral cemetery.

Alton Winfield Stagg
Alton "Pete" Stagg, age 91, died on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, MD.
Alton Winfield Stagg was born June 4, 1916, son of the late Robert Newell and Olive May Stagg of Snow Hill, MD. A decorated WWII veteran Alton received the European African Middle Eastern Service Ribbon, the Army GCM, and the WWII Victory Ribbon for his service as Army Sergeant First Class in Iran from 1942-1945. Upon his return, he was a long time member and resident of the University and Whist Club of Wilmington, DE. As an alumnus of the Wharton School of Business, he distinguished himself as a career executive in the steel industry. Alton served as Vice President of Phoenix Steel in Claymont, DE through 1969, and retired as Vice President of Roebling Steel in Trenton, NJ in 1975. Beloved by his family and friends, he will always be remembered as a man of strong character and intellect. He lived life to it's fullest each day, evidenced by the fact that he celebrated his 91st birthday just 5 days prior to his passing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Mary Anne; daughter, Amy Long, and her husband, Gus, of Rockville, MD; niece, Laura Mae Bartoshesky of Wilmington, DE, and her family; and nephew, J. Benjamin Stagg of Easton, MD, and his family.
Memorial services will be held at 10 am, on Tuesday, June 12, at All Hallows Episcopal Church, 109 Market Street, Snow Hill, MD, 21863, followed by a burial service at All Hallows cemetery. The Reverend Kenneth Thom will officiate.
It was Alton's expressed wish that in lieu of flowers, any remembrances be made as donations to the All Hallows Parish Discretionary Fund at the above address; or to the Worcester County Humane Society, PO Box 48, Berlin, MD, 21811.

Age 25, went home to be with the Lord on June 6, 2007, in Christiana Hospital. She was the beloved daughter of Edna Forte and Henry Swain; loving sister of Casey Swain, Jasmynne Fort, Demond May and Jonathan Hoxter. She is also survived by 3 nieces, 3 nephews, 7 aunts, 7 uncles; grandparents, Madeline Jackson and Lenton Howard; her best friend, Sonja Lewis; her pastor Jannie Pinkett; a host of loving cousins, other relatives, and of friends. Adored wife of Joseph (deceased), beloved mother of Thomas and his wife Marilyn Paine Dudkowski (both deceased), doting grandmother of Alyson and Bryn Dudkowski.

She was born in Brooklyn, NY, on October 14, 1921, to Leonard and Marianna Wojno. She was the youngest of 6, all who predeceased her. Mrs. Dudkowski married
in 1942, to Joseph Dudkowski. The couple moved to Somerville, NJ. Upon her husband's death, Harriet moved to Wilmington to be with her son & granddaughters. A gentle and generous soul, she will be missed by family & friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am, on Monday, December 18, 2006, at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Sharpley Rd. & Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE; followed by a burial service at 1:30 pm, at St. Bernard's cemetery, in Bridgewater, NJ.

Age 87, of Woodlyn, PA, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center, Lima, PA.
Husband of the late Adelia Woolman Guss, who passed away in 1996. He is survived by his wife, Regina "Jean" Modesti Guss; son, Warren F. Guss, III (Christina), of FL; daughter, Patricia Baker (Bill), of Millsboro, DE; sister, Edythe Guss, of FL; 3 step-children, April, Harry and Arthur; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Father of the late James Guss, who died in 2005; step-father of the late John Modesti; brother of the late H. Robert "Bob" Guss, Sr. and Marjori Kurah.

John A. Jaskewich, Jr.
Age 89, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, December 12, 2006, surrounded by his family.
Born in Yorklyn, PA, Mr. Jaskewich was the son of the late Sofia and John A. Jaskewich, Sr.; and brother of the late Emily Freeman, Angela Vito, and Benjamin Jaskewich. He worked as a steel fabricator at Allied Steel until his retirement 25 years ago.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rosalie (Odierno) Jaskewich; his sons, John A., III and his wife, Denise, and Richard P.; his daughter, Barbara A. Holloway and her husband, Greg; his sister, Ethel Lehr; and 6 grandchildren, John, Leigh, Jason, Rachel, Brandon and Erin.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Sunday, December 17, at 2 pm, at MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, Limestone and Milltown Roads, Wilmington, where friends are invited to visit after 1 pm. Interment will be private.

Age 68, of Claymont, DE, passed away at home, on Wednesday, December 13, 2006, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Chester, PA, the daughter of the late, Nicholas and F. Louise Luzak. Mrs. Losey was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Lois was blessed with skilled hands. She was a very creative woman. Upholstery, crocheting and sewing were just a few of her creative efforts.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Richard D. Losey; son, Robert D. Losey of Claymont, DE; and daughter, Dianna L. Brown and her husband, George of Bear, DE. Also left to cherish her memory are her brothers, John Luzak and Nicholas Luzak; sister, Anna Allen; grandchildren, Susan, Richard, Kimberly, Kelsey and Andrew; and great-grandson, Nicholas.
A funeral service will be held at 7:30 pm, on Monday evening, December 18, 2006, at the GEBHART FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE, where visitation will begin at 6 pm.
