Carole B. Fulmer
Age 73, of Newark, DE passed away on Saturday November 3, 2007.
Carole loved playing bridge and was in several bridge groups. She worked for Hercules as a secretary and more recently for Macy's and MBNA. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and took care of them in their early years. Carole spent countless hours supporting band boosters for her son in both middle and high school.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William B. Fulmer, Jr.; her son, William B Fulmer, III and his wife, Sheri; her grandchildren, Taylor and Ryan; her sister, Patricia B. Jones of Bridgeton, NJ; her nieces and nephew, Barbara and Frank Spatola of Bridgeton, NJ and Carol Porchick of Millville, NJ; and several other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 8 at 12 noon at St. Barnabas Church, 2800 Duncan Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808 where friends may call after 10 am. Entombment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 92 Read's Way, New Castle, DE 19720 or to St Barnabas Church at the above address.
John R. Heldmyer, Jr. "Jack"
John R. "Jack" Heldmyer, Jr., age 65, of Middletown, DE passed away Monday, November 5, 2007 at Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE.
Born on July 3, 1942 in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of Clara (Bolton) and the late John Roland Heldmyer, Sr. Jack was a life member of the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, where he has been an active member for the past 50 years. During his tenure with the fire company he served as Fire Lieutenant and Fire Captain and on the Board of Directors for 10 years.
Jack worked for Johnson Controls in Middletown, DE, retiring after 40 years.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, June M. Heldmyer. He is survived by a daughter, Jackie M. Heldmyer of Newport, DE; a son, John R. "JR" Heldmyer, III and his wife, Melissa, of Galena, MD; his mother, Clara B. Heldmyer; a sister, Joanne H. Unruh and her husband, Earl, all of Middletown, DE; 3 granddaughters, Rachel N. Heldmyer and Amanda and Amber Kerstetter; a nephew, Earl J. Unruh and a niece, Teresa Fischetti.
Funeral services will be held 12 pm on Friday, November 9, 2007 at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, DE where family and friends may call Thursday evening from 7-9 pm. Interment will be in Old St. Anne's Cemetery, Middletown, DE.

I. Virginia Joy
Formerly of Rehoboth Beach, DE, peacefully began her Life in Eternity, Sunday, October 28, 2007.
She resided at Cokesbury Village, Hockessin, for the last 20 years. Virginia celebrated her 91st birthday on October 13, 2007. Virginia traveled extensively throughout the world, for several years served aboard the Matson Lines in the South Pacific. She enjoyed varied real estate career in New Castle County, Kent County and eventually became Sales Manager for Anderson Stokes in Rehoboth Beach. In 1966, she opened Virginia Joy, REALTORS®, in Rehoboth Beach, which she sold out to her associate, Patricia Campbell-White, in 1981, when Virginia retired. In 1974, she partnered with Patterson-Schwartz Associates of New Castle County in providing sales and management services for The Henlopen condominiums, Rehoboth Beach. A member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Rehoboth Beach, Virginia served as President of the Rehoboth Beach Chamber of Commerce, and in 1974 was President of the Delaware Association of REALTORS®, and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of REALTORS®. In 1974, she served as a member of the Delaware Tomorrow Commission for the State of Delaware. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, in 1916, Virginia is preceded in death by her father, Henry Grady Joy (1919), and her mother, Alice Cox Joy in 1985.
Having no immediate family members, she is survived by her friend and former business associate, Patricia Campbell-White and her husband, Donald C. White of Rehoboth Beach.
A memorial service will be conducted by Rev. John Dean, at Cokesbury Village, Community Room, Level A, Hockessin, on Saturday, November 10, at 2 pm. Interment will be private.

Edward Joseph Kowalski, Jr.
Age 66, of Zion, MD, near North East, died Tuesday, November 6, 2007 in the Christiana Hospital, Christiana, DE.
Edward was born in Bayonne, NJ, on February 4, 1941 as the only son of the late Edward J. Kowalski, Sr. and the late Sophie Kowalski.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marycelene (Dubil) Kowalski in 1997. Mr. Kowalski graduated from Salesianum High School in Wilmington, DE and went on to attend the University of Delaware and Cecil Community College. Edward was also a devoted member of St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church. He retired from the Department of Labor for the State of Delaware after many years of loyal service as a computer programmer. Edward loved and was exceptionally gifted in mathematics, and was endowed with an equally sharp wit that was enjoyed by all who knew him. He also greatly enjoyed horse racing, coin collecting and classical music.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Linda M. Kowalski of North East, MD; 2 beloved sisters: Teresa Zwierchowski of Forked River, NJ and Joanne Norwillo of Palm Bay, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening, November 9, from 6-8 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 10 am at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, 928 Turkey Point Road, North East, MD, with interment to follow in All Saint's Cemetery, Wilmington, DE. Father Tony Larry will officiate.
Ellen I. Lawson
Of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Monday November 5, 2007, at the Christiana Hospital at the age of 85.
Ellen was born and raised in Galax, VA, the daughter of the late Oscar and Birdie White and has made Delaware her home for the past 61 years. Ellen enjoyed playing slots, reading and cooking but her biggest joy in life was caring for her family. Ellen was a homemaker who also worked for many years as a cafeteria worker at the Richardson Park Elementary School. Ellen's beloved husband of 38 years Avery Lawson passed away in 1979.
She will be sadly missed by her family; son, David R. Lawson and his wife Trudy of Bear, DE; daughters, Shelvia J. "Jeanie" Watson and her husband Vaughn (Joe) of Newark, DE, Bonnie M. Aro and her husband Rick of Northeast, MD, Kathy D. Murray of Wilmington, DE and Patricia Lawson "daughter of the heart" of Clayton, DE; sister, Jewel Cox, Sue Lundy and Sandy Cochran all of Galax, VA. Ellen was "Mom-Mom" to Shelvia Lynn Tillinghast and her husband Jeff, Sommer Flynn and her husband Mike, Christine Miller and her husband Earl, Patricia Kucharski and her husband William, Thomas Lawson, Jessica Lawson, David Lawson and his wife Cindy, James Lawson and his wife Tina, and numerous loving great and great-great grandchildren. Ellen was predeceased by her son Donald A. Lawson in 2004 and her grandchildren Shane P. Murray, Avery Collins Murray and Donald R. Lawson.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing in celebration of Ellen's life on Thursday, November 8, from 7-9 pm, at BEESON FUNERAL HOME OF NEWARK, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Fox Run, (302) 453-1900 and again on Friday morning from 10-11 am, at the funeral home. Her funeral service will be at 11 am. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.

passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at St. Michael's Hospital at 50 years of age.
Beloved wife of Neal. Loving mother of Aiki. Survived by her brother, Len; uncle, Walter (late Maimu); and her cousin, Kersti. Cherished sister-in-law of Donna (Jack), Ian, Craig and Diane. Proud aunt of 7 nieces and nephews, and 6 great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Laine and Werner Yllo. Services were held in Canada.
Ingrid will be overwhelmingly missed by her family and countless close friends.
Terrence P. McEvoy
Age 74, of Bear, DE, passed away on November 4, 2007.
He was a machinist with Congoleum Corporation, in Marcus Hook, PA, retiring after 27 years service. Terry was a member of the Congoleum Retirement Club and the United Steelworkers of America. Terry enjoyed camping with his family and spending time with his granddaughters.
Terry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Beatrice W. McEvoy; his children and their spouses, Terri M. Howard and Tom of North East, MD, Michael W. of Bear, DE, Charles C. and Kathy of Newark, DE and Andrew D. and Sue of North East, MD; 1 sister, Mary Casalvera of Hockessin, DE; 1 brother, Daniel J. of Cape Canaveral, FL; 3 grandchildren, Carlee, Tommi, and Jenna Howard; 4 step grandchildren, Renie, Sarah, B.J., and Nikki; and 3 step great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jordan, and Aiden. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Clifford P. McEvoy, Sr.; mother and step-father, Lillian L. and Minor Munsey, Jr.; brother, Clifford P. Jr., sister, Claire Hewett.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 8, at 11 am, at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3710 Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Road where friends may call on Wednesday evening from 7-9 pm. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
Elizabeth Ann Mittnight
Of Wilmington, DE, died November 4, 2007.
Elizabeth Hendrickson was born September 21, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York to Peter and Gladys Hendrickson (both deceased). She married the love of her life, Frank Mittnight on August 19, 1961 with whom she had five children. They lived in Brooklyn, New York all their life before moving to Wilmington, Delaware in 1998. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1979.
Cherishing her memory is: her husband Frank; her 5 children Marybeth, Carolyn, Gladys, Frank W and Karen. She will be deeply missed by her 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her brothers, Peter, Thomas, William, John, and Anthony, as well as her sisters, Jacqueline, Madeline, Gladys, and Geraldine. Numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, November 9, at MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, Limestone & Milltown Road, Wilmington between 6-8 pm. Memorial service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness's on November 10, at 2 pm.
