Brenda shares the following about her sister, Ruth. My beloved and wonderful sister had a long illness of multiple myeloma for six years and ten months. She was the kind that said that's what God wants and she took each day as a blessing from Him. She never complained, as she counted on God to take care of everything. My sister was truly saved and loved the Bible. She was my inspiration and a very strong woman. How many of us could do what she endured and go through what she did...you have to have God in your life! Sis worked hard her whole life and had many a hard time, but she was always there to help strangers and family. She never once let it get her down. I will miss her with my whole being...it is like a part of me is gone...you see, I was with her from beginning to the end.
Survivors include a sister, Brenda Parker Wallace Thompson of New Castle and Quinby, VA, and many nieces, nephews and good friends. Other than her parents, she was predeceased by 2 brothers, Stanley C. Wallace, Jr. and James L. "Jimmy" Wallace, Sr.
