Zeccola, Jr., Michael A.
Michael A. Zeccola, Jr., 56, of Wilmington, died at his residence on Friday, March 23, 2001.
Michael worked for the News Journal in the Information Technology Department for the past 34 years. He attended St. Charles Seminary in Catonsville, MD prior to graduating from Salesianum School in 1962, where he received various religious awards. Michael was a member of the Delaware National Guard for several years in the mid 1960’s. Michael taught CCD classes at St. Patrick’s Church in Wilmington for the past 25 years and enjoyed working with many of the children in the parish. He enjoyed spending his leisure time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed travelling to Nevada and reading and studying history, particularly religious history. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marguerite McDermott Zeccola in 1987.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Ruth Ann Zeccola; his sons, William D. Chrisco and Michael E. Zeccola, both of Wilmington, and Brad W. Murphy of West Chester, PA; two daughters, Karen E. Davis of Carson City, NV and Stephanie Kern of Honeybrook, PA; a sister, Marlene Pell of Cape May, NJ; and four grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 27 at 10 am at St. Patrick’s Church, 15th and King Sts., Wilmington. Friends are invited to call on Monday evening between 6 pm and 8 pm at Mealey Funeral Home, Limestone and Milltown Roads, Wilmington. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Patrick’s Church, 1414 King Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
RAY CHARLES ZOOK
Age 83 of Linstone Lane, Milford, DE, died Friday, December 29, 2000 at home.
Mr. Zook was a short order cook working in Ocean City, MD until his retirement in 1981. He was an Army Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by a sister, Louella T. Smith of Milford, DE and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2001 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, Millsboro, DE. Interment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Disabled Veterans, 1601 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE, 19805.

Olga Skapik Jones Grandma "Oggie"
went to be with her friends, family, and our Lord on October 13, 2010. She was 86. She was born in Plainfield, New Jersey on July 9, 1924, to Mathew and Felomina Skapik. She has been a member of Southern Baptist Churches and seemed to have had a calling as a Librarian. Her main occupation was a bookkeeper but she also had a great talent as an interior decorator and a gourmet cook. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn P. Anderson. She is survived by her granddaughter and Husband, Tandi and Randall Cook, her great grandson, Andrew Cook, great granddaughter and husband Brandy and Matthew Haxton, daughter-In-Law and Husband, Janet and Bill Gerber, brother and sister Irma Beltram and Matthew Skapik. A private internment will be held in Florida. A memorial service for close friends and family will be held on October 24, 2010, from 1:30-3:00p.m., at her granddaughter's residence. Nadkarny, Sumati Ramdas
Sumati Ramdas Nadkarny of Wyoming passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 in Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 86.
She was born on February 4, 1924 in India, daughter of the late Shankar and Umabai (Haridas) Shirali.
Sumati is survived by a son Dr. Uday Nadkarny and his wife Kanchan of Wyoming, a daughter Aruna Naimpalli of India, grandchildren Sameer, Shweta, Nikhil and Neta and a great granddaughter Swara.
Service will be 11:30 a.m. today, October 13, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be private.
DAVID M. WEBB
CAMDEN David M. Webb of Camden, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 in Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 55.
David was born on November 13, 1954 in Dover, Delaware and was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School.
He worked on the family farm.
David is preceded in death by his mother Verona Webb in 1987.
He is survived by his father C. Milbourne Webb, Jr. of Camden, two daughters Wendy Goldsborough and her husband Edmond "AJ" of Milford, and Kimberlie Webb of Millsboro, a granddaughter Anastasia Webb, maternal grandmother Nedra Medford of Wyoming, a brother Dennis Webb and his wife Mary of Greenwood, two sisters Dawn Webb and Holly Webb both of Wyoming and his companion Prudence "Prudy" Smith of Wyoming.
Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming. Interment will be private.

Couchman, Jean A.
Jean A. Couchman of Dover passed away Friday, October 8, 2010 in Courtland Manor Nursing Home. She was 86.
Jean was born on February 3, 1924 in Downingtown, PA, daughter of the late Anna Dailey and Rhinehart Merkt. She graduated from Downingtown High School and in 1944 from the Philadelphia Beauty School. She later attended Delaware Tech.
Jean worked as a secretary to the personnel director of the Kent County Administrative Offices in Dover and retired on January 31, 1990.
Her hobbies included the Steppin' Seniors at the Modern Maturity Center where she taught line dancing. She was an avid reader and bridge player, enjoyed playing the piano and did volunteer work. Her number one priority was her family. As an Army wife for 17 years, she traveled extensively throughout Europe and the U.S. and continued to travel cruising to Bermuda and to Alaska, and traveling to Ireland.
Jean was a long time active member of Holy Cross Church, Dover Century Club, Modern Maturity Center, member of Steppin' Seniors, Stockley Center Womens' Auxiliary, and the Delaware Association for Retarded Citizens.
She is preceded in death by ex-husband John P. Couchman, son John J. Couchman, brother James Merkt, and a sister Mary Short.
Jean is survived by three daughters Carol C. Jones and her husband Carl of CA, Anne C. McCullin and her husband Dennis of PA and Jeannie C. Pepper of Dover, grandchildren Chad Diefenbach, Christy Shelmadine both of CA, Patrick McCullin of PA, Nathan McCullin of MA and Andrew McCullin of PA, Laura Pepper of PA and Clay Pepper of Dover, great granddaughter Sydney Shelmadine and great grandson Dylan Shelmadine of CA, a brother Francis Merkt of PA and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 7-9 pm Thursday, October 14 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Friday, October 15 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover. Burial will follow at 3 pm in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Downingtown, PA.

Wolff, Mary Etta
Mary Etta Wolff of Smyrna passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 71.
She was born on April 11, 1929 in Dover, Delaware, daughter of the late Abraham and Mildred (Gounce) Bratton.
Mary was a homemaker. She enjoyed visiting the beach, going to the Modern Maturity Center, dancing and being with all of her family. She loved life and people.
She was a member of the Modern Maturity Center and the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge.
Mary is also preceded in death by a sister Janet M. Landen in 1963, brother George H. Bratton in 2004 and a granddaughter Tammy L. Gentry in 1972.
She is survived by seven children Terry Gentry and her husband Sam of Little Creek, Willard Patterson and his wife Joan of Smyrna, Joyce Nickerson and her husband Paul of Dover, Brenda Proud and her husband Bill of Smyrna, Edie Soto and her husband Eric of Panama City, FL, Shawn Cadiz and her husband Michael of Frederica and John Webb of Felton, grandchildren Gregory, Mary Dee, David, Tammy, Matthew, Dalene, Willard, Curtis, Melissa, Bruce, Amber, Robert, Dale, Nick, Brittany, Michael, Erica, Christopher, Jessica and Johnatha and 13 great grandchildren.
Service will be 1:30 pm Monday at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather from 11 am until service time. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

Golden, Thomasena Elaine
Thomasena Elaine Golden passed away on Monday, October 4, 2010 at Kent General Hospital. She was 62.
She was born on February 2, 1948 in Kent County, Delaware daughter of the late Thomas Vernon Derrickson and Martha Ann Derrickson.
Thomasena had a strong work ethic, and worked hard all her life. She worked at the Delaware State News for many years until she was disabled in 2007.
She believed love was not a full cup which one had to share with a few, but rather an ocean from which we could take and give all we wanted. Thomasena was a good wife, caring mother, doting grandmother, and best friend. She was loved by all.
In her life she loved to travel, read, garden, camp, and particularly loved gift giving.
She is also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Derrickson, and her son John Derrickson.
Thomasena is survived by her loving husband Victor Thomas Golden, Jr., her son, Russell Derrickson, her grandchildren John Derrickson Powell and Kristen Nichole Derrickson, her great grandchildren Vallory Rose Dill, Makenzie E. Derrickson, her brothers and sisters Esther Lee Wirth, Thelma Lucille Butler, Lewis Everette, Paul Everette, Josephine Parsons, Barbara Ann Lane, Cathy Parker and Jim Parker, nephews and nieces Robert Dennis, Polly Dennis, Lora Sapp, Terri Derrickson, Thomas Vernon Derrickson, Jr., Kim Everette, Tonda Everette, Megan Everette, Eugene Polumbo, Angelo Polumbo, Tony Polumbo, Gina Polumbo, Lewis Butler, Marsha Ann Kemp, Paula Jean Farrell, Clark Dutterer, Melissa Dutterer, and many many grand nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service will be 2 pm Saturday, October 9 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sandtown.
