James E. Rouse, 55, of New Haven, departed this life August 30, 2007.
Born in Durham, NC, October 23, 1951, he was the son of Lueisa Rouse and the late Patrick Rouse.
Mr. Rouse was employed in the construction industry for numerous years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, James and Angela Riley, James Stevenson and Mary Hubbard; a brother, Robert Rouse; sisters, Frances Rouse Satterwhite and Betty Joyce Richardson; 14 grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Mr. Rouse's life and legacy will be held Friday, September 7, 2007, at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew's UFWB Church, 400 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Friends may call at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial in Hamden Plains Cemetery.
Cheryl Denise Galloway
1959 - 2007
Cheryl Denise Galloway, 47, of New Haven, departed this life April 4, 2007.
Born in New Haven, CT, July 17, 1959, she was the daughter of Mitcheleane Douglas and the late James Perry Watkins.
At the time her passing, she was employed by the Yale Psychiatric Hospital as an LPN and Patient Care Associate.
Ms. Galloway was a member of Thomas Chapel Church.
In addition to her mother, she leaves to cherish her memories, sons, Terrance L. and Travis S. Galloway; daughters, Mitcheleane Galloway and Nicole D. Jackson; sisters, Carrie James, Essie Jackson and Lisa Shepperdson; two grandchildren, Cameron A. and Camia A. Galloway; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Watkins.
A celebration of Ms. Galloway's life and legacy will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at 11:00 am at Thomas Chapel Church, 30 White St., New Haven. Friends may call at the church from 10:00-11:00 am. Burial in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
Karen Robinson
1963 - 2008
Karen Robinson, 45, passed on to glory suddenly on September 22, 2008.
Born in New Haven, CT, September 1, 1963, she was the daughter of Emily Robinson.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her siblings, Francis and Shelley Robinson and Laertese Hatcher, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Sean and Janel Robinson, Brittany, Laertese, Jr., Isiah, and Isaac Hatcher and Terrance McCrary; a great nephew, Shane Robinson; aunts, Barbara Providence and Sandee Robinson; an uncle, George Providence; numerous cousins; the Jenkins Family; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A nephew, Jermaine Robinson preceded her in death.
A celebration of Ms. Robinson's life will be held Saturday, September 27, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Deliverance Church #2, 15 Mead St., New Haven. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.

Alonzo Henry Moore
1949 - 2008
Alonzo Henry Moore, 58, of West Haven, departed this life May 13, 2008. He was the husband of Judy Sansone Moore.
Born in Kinston, NC, June 26, 1949, he was the son of the late Elymous and Verna Mae Moore.
Mr. Moore was employed at Yale New Haven Hospital as a Dietary Aide.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Naresha R. Moore and Jennifer Davis; brothers, Alexander, Elymous Jr. and Guilford Moore; sisters, Anna Patrick, Gwen Sutton and Nancy Moore; three grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Earl Moore and a sister, Ruby Gardner.

Magnolia McClean, 94, of New Haven, departed this life July 23, 2007.
Born May 25, 1913, in Bennettsville, SC, she was the daughter of the late John and Sallie Jane McClean.

Anthony Pina, Jr., 54, of New Haven, departed this life December 25, 2008 from complications due to cancer.
Born in Derby, CT, August 21, 1954, he was the son of Mary Alice Pina and the late Anthony Pina, Sr.
In addition to his mother, he leaves to cherish his memories daughters, Swan Wright and Mary Pina; sons, Antoine Pina, Tony and Anttaj Hawthorne; sisters, Alice Smith, Alma Greene, Rosemary Bragg, Palmira Shelton, Maxine Pina and Linda Pina-Morris; brothers, Samuel (Barbara) and Lawrence Phillips, Frank and Arthur Pina; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dorothy Mae Randolph
1931 - 2009
Dorothy Mae Randolph, 77, of New Haven, entered into peaceful rest on March 31, 2009.
Born September 26, 1931, in Pitt County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Eddie and Marie Howard.
Dorothy relocated to New Haven in the early 1950's and prior to retiring, was employed at the Hospital of St. Raphael for many years.
She was a faithful member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Mrs. Randolph is survived by her siblings, Frances Moore (Charlie), Robert and Cottrell Howard as well as siblings in Baltimore, MD; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Robert and Earl Lynch and Edward Howard; and siblings, Milton Howard and Jannie Coburn.

Born September 25, 1963, in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of Eugene E. Livingston Jr. and Linda D. Livingston Edwards.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her devoted stepfather, Curtis L. Edwards; paternal grandmother, Doris Adams; sons, Donald Woodson Jr. and Rayquan Livingston; grandchildren, Iyana Smith and Donald Woodson III; brothers, Eugene Livingston III and Abdullah Livingston; a sister, Tara Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends.

Helen H. Wilborne, 73, of New Haven, departed this life July 1, 2009. She was the wife of Elijah C. Wilborne.
Born in Hemingway, SC, August 22, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Wesley N. and Mary M. Lewis.
Prior to retiring, she was employed by the former Golden Manor Nursing Home as a Certified Nurses' Assistant. She was a member of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Danny E., Gregory J., Darin A., and Timothy B. Wilborne; a daughter, Lori W. Carter; brothers, Rufus, Josephus, Willie, Larry and Harry Lewis and Albert Weston; sisters, Minnie Aiken, Dorothy and Surletta Lewis, Shirley Thompson, Racheal Gordon and Lilly Weston; a great aunt, Lizzie Footman; sixteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis L. Wilborne; brothers, Wesley Lewis, Jr., Johnnie Aiken and Samuel and Azar Lewis; sisters, Auntie Ester Lewis, Eliza Weston and Sadie Bradham.

Ellis Davis

Ellis Davis, 85, of West Haven, departed this life on August 22, 2006. She was the widow of James Davis.
Mrs. Davis was born in Nashville, NC, on February 1, 1921, daughter of the late Sam and Belle Cooper.
She had been employed for numerous years as a Nurse's Aide.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Glorified Deliverance Center Church where she served on the Mother's and Missionary's Boards. She also attended Faith and Deliverance Church.
She is survived by sons, Rossie Cooper, Sam, John and Melvin Davis; daughters, Ruth Dixon and Pearl and Ida Davis; a brother, Comilues Cooper; sisters, Emma Allen, Mary Stroud and Carrie Brooks; 31 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by a son, James Davis; a daughter, Beatrice Perry; grandsons, Earl "5" Davis, Eddie Davis and Lamont Perry; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
A funeral service celebrating Mrs. Davis' life and legacy will be held Monday, August 28, 2006, at 11 AM at Trinity Temple Church, 285 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Friends may call at the church from 10-11 AM. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
