John F. Harms of Darien died Monday,
Nov. 20, 2000 at home. He was 83.
He died of a heart attack, according to his family.
Born January, 29, 1917, in New York City, he was the son of the late John F. and Katherine Tomecek Harms.
Formerly of Stamford, Mr. Harms resided in Darien for 50 years. He retired as tool-room supervisor from the Beta Shim Co. in South Norwalk. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Stamford, The Owls of Zion Lutheran Church and AARP.
He is survived by two sons, Ronald Harms of Darien and Raymond Harms of Fort Washington , Md.; and four grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Harms.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000 at Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2000 at Zion Lutheran Church, 132 Glenbrook Road, Stamford., with the Rev. Dr. Scott Harris of St. John's Lutheran Church, Stamford, presiding.
Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, Stamford.
Maria Immacolata Ferri Telesco of Redding died Thursday,
Nov. 23, 2000 at home. She was 100.
She died of natural causes, according to her family.
Born March 1, 1900, in Serre Picinisco, Province of Frosinone, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Annunizata Grille Ferri.
She came to the United States in 1920 and was a resident of Stamford until 1988, when she moved to Redding with her daughter.
Mrs. Telesco was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and a member of St. Patrick's Women's Guild.
She is survived by four daughters, Gloria Jaccarino of Redding, Ann Cirone of Deltona, Fla., Carmella Nicoletti of West Palm Beach, Fla., Nancy Palmieri of Bridgeport; a stepson, Dominick Telesco of Deltona, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000 at Bouton Funeral Home, 31 W. Church St., Georgetown.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2000 at St. Patrick's Church, 169 Black Rock Turnpike, Redding.
Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery, Darien.

Mary E. McDonald,
a resident of Stamford for more than 50 years, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2000 at Stamford Hospital. She was 76.
She died of a cardiac arrest, according to her family.
Born Nov. 4, 1924, in Demopolis, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Estelle Watkins.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 10446.
She is survived by a daughter, Jeannette McDonald-Mace of Stamford; and a grandson.
A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000 at Downer Funeral Home Inc., 31 Stillwater Ave., Stamford, with the Rev. Gladys J. Goings officiating.
Burial will be private.
Mary F. Hanrahan,
a lifelong Stamford resident, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000 at St. Camillus Health Care Center. She was 75.
She died of natural causes, according to her family.
Born Nov. 19, 1925, in Stamford, she was a daughter of the late Thomas F. and Mary Parker Hanrahan.
She was an administrative assistant to the director of the Stamford Museum & Nature Center for 42 years and was instrumental in developing and moving the Stamford Museum from a few exhibit rooms to the 40-acre art, science and nature facility on Scofieldtown Road. She served as president of the Auxiliary to the Nature Museum Center, along with the art and science departments.
She was a member of St. Bridget of Ireland Church.
She is survived by a sister, Patricia Passaro of Stamford; a brother, Keith Hanrahan of Stamford; and two aunts, five nieces and three nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas J. Hanrahan.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000 at Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. and head to St. Bridget of Ireland Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Road, Stamford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the church at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford.

Samuel A. Magliari Sr.,
a lifelong Stamford resident, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000 at home. He was 70.
He died of cancer, according to his family.
Born Feb. 12, 1930, in Stamford, he was a son of the late Joseph and Margaret DeCostanza Magliari.
Mr. Magliari worked for 25 years as a contractor for Home Oil Co. He also worked for 10 years as a custodian for the city of Stamford.
He was a member of the West Side Sportsmen's Club and the Richmond Park Republican Club.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Caravetta Magliari of Stamford; a son, Samuel A. Magliari Jr. of Stamford; a daughter, Emilia Fattahi of Stamford; and three brothers, Richard Magliari and Frank Magliari, both of Stamford, and Joseph Magliari of Darien.
Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000 at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2000 at The Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.
Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Darien.
