At her home surrounded by her loving family, Charlotte Spezzano Adinolfi, 88, passed away Jan. 10, 2004, wife of John S. Adinolfi of Half Mile Rd., North Haven, mother of Gerald Adinolfi and his wife, Ruth of Northford, Mary Provini and her husband, Ray of North Haven, Paul Adinolfi and his wife, Cynthia, Susan Reid and her husband, Alan of Hamden and Justin Adinolfi and his wife, Jane of Cheshire and sister of Amelia (Emily) Moore of North Branford. Also survived by a daughter-in-law, Karin Adinolfi of North Haven, 13 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John Adinolfi, a brother, Joseph Spezzano, and sisters, Rose Frontera, Frances Luparia, Angelina (Angie) Nichols. Charlotte was born May 2, 1915 in North Branford, a daughter of the late Carmine and Mary Algieri Spezzano. She grew up on the family farm, Spezzano - Riverside Farm in North Branford. She was a graduate of Albertus Magnus College class of 1937. She lived in North Haven for all 59 years of married life. She perfected her hobbies of baking, sewing and other crafts. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Therese Church.
Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Tues., Jan. 13, 2004 at 9:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church, North Haven at 10 a.m. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice Home Care, 110 Barnes Rd., Wallingford, CT 06492.

Otto "Dutch" Frederick Albert, 88, of Cary, NC, and formerly of Branford, died on March 27, 2004 at home. Dutch was predeceased by his wife Leora "Lee" Raban Albert. He is survived by sons Donald Albert, and his wife Linda, Laurence Albert, and his wife Diane, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Memorial service Sat., June 12, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. at Whitneyville United Church of Christ. Burial in Hamden Plains Cemetery. Arrangements in care of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Middletown - Horace J. Aliff, 73, husband of Marion Hacks Aliff, passed away Friday November 7, 2003 at Middlesex Hospital. He was born in Middletown, May 13, 1930, son of the late Thomas and Ruth Bowen Aliff. He was a self employed well driller. He served in the U.S. Navy durning the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion and the National Rifle Association. In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters, Marilyn Linberk of Middletown, Barbara Fetchenhier of Warrensberg, Missouri, Beverly J. Aliff of Middletown sons, Stephen H. Aliff of Middletown and Alan Aliff of East Hamption, four grandchildren, Shanon Aliff, Private First Class Bryan Linberk, Kristina Linberk and Tiffany Aliff. Also survived by a brother, Andrew Aliff. Predeceased by a sister, Helen Newman.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 11 at 11:00am. at BEECHER & BENNETT FLATOW Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave. Meriden. Friends may call from 9-11 am. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden . In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Edwin and William Rawling and a step-father, Edwin Rawling. Born in Waterbury, Nov. 13, 1934, a son of the late Walter and Myra Alling Peck. He worked as a truck driver for Brock Hall Dairy.
Funeral service Saturday, May 8 at 10 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Burial will be in Hamden Plains Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m.

In Branford, September 28, 2001. Elizabeth (Betsy)Sargent Barnett of 36 Kent Dr., North Haven. Wife of John W. Barnett. Born in New Haven, on December 3, 1928, she was the daughter of the late C. Forbes Sargent and Elizabeth Day Sargent. Betsy attended Oberlin College and graduated in 1950. A long time member of the Church of the Redeemer in New Haven, she was the current treasurer, having served in many other capacities. Betsy retired in 1995, after 23 years as a Probation Officer for the State of
Connecticut. She was active volunteer with many organizations including: The Children's Center for 40 years and was a Past President, Fellowship Place, Creative Arts Workshop, the Women's Seaman's Friend Society, The Greater New Haven Y.M.C.A. and she was a past President of the New Haven Scholarship Fund. Betsy was a member of the New Haven Lawn Club and the Junior League of New Haven. Beside her husband she is survived by two daughters; Elizabeth Barnett M.D. of Sharon, MA and Priscilla B. Mainardi of Pompton Plains, NJ, a son, John A. Barnett of Ocoee, FL, a sister, Dorothy S. Cornish of Troy, NY, a brother, Charles F. Sargent of Boston and 8 grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at the Church of the Redeemer, Whitney Ave., Corner of Cold Spring St., New Haven, Wednesday, October 3 at 2 P.M. Eleanor Borst Beach, 77, of 88 Elmwood Drive died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of Owen M. Beach. Born in Meriden on June 12, 1925, she was the daughter of the late F. Baldwin and Corrine Bicknell Borst. She was a graduate of Meriden High School and Larson Junior College (now Quinnipiac University) and had worked at New Departure and as the Sales Director at Yale Motor Inn. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Meriden. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jeffrey O. Beach and Jonathan L. Beach, both of Meriden; a brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Jane Borst of Houston, TX; a granddaughter and her husband, Amanda and Stewart Sill of Youngsville, N.C.; a great-grandson, Connor Sill of Youngsville, N.C. and two nieces, Laura Jane Borst of Houston, TX and Patricia Hebert of Upton, MA.
A graveside service and burial will be held Thursday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. in Walnut Grove Cemetery. The Rev. John Wayne Clark will officiate. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. If desired, contributions in Mrs. Beach's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.

In Wallingford, December 28, 2001, Priscilla North Bassett of 10 Ashlar Village, formerly of Bassett Rd., North Haven, wife of the late Donald Bradley Bassett. Born in North Haven on September 15, 1909, she was the daughter of the late J. Richard and H. Margaret Alden North Bassett. A graduate of Lyman Hall High School, she attended Columbia University, School of Oral Hygene. Having worked for many Dentists, she was the first Dental Hygenist for the North Haven Public School. Mrs. Bassett volunteered at Yale-New Haven Hospital for many years as a patient aide and representative. An active member of the Women's Association at North Haven Congregational Church, she also served on the Board of Deacons. Mrs. Bassett was the first President of the North Haven High School P.T.A. and was a member of the Mayflower Society of North Haven. She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Moergeli of Enumclaw, WA, two sons: Capt. Bradley A. Bassett (USN Ret.) of Honolulu, HI and Paul D. Bassett of Roswell, GA, a sister, Barbara Pearsall of North Haven, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at the North Haven Congregational Church on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002 at 2 P.M. Arrangements with BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE, HAMDEN. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and was espically fond of her great - Nieces and great-nephews. Josephine was born Jan. 6, 1924, daughter of the late James Zarro and Alphonsena Zarro Vincento. She worked at Whitney Foods in New Haven.

He leaves a very special nephew, Michael Belfonti of Hamden, several other nieces and nephews, his former wife Brenda Belfonti of East Haven and his friend, Nora Wiedenbach. Bob was retired from the SCSU Maintenance Dept.
