DEBLOIS

Rene L. Deblois, 38, of East Hartford, beloved husband of Marianne (Kulhawy) Deblois, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in St. George, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of Paul and Julie (Toulouse) Deblois, and lived in East Hartford for most of his life. Rene was a driver for the Lincare Medical Supply Co. in Glastonbury for several years and a member of the Lutheran Church of St. Mark in Glastonbury. He was also a member of the French Social Club of East Hartford and the South Windsor Square Dance Club. Rene was a devoted husband, father, son, uncle, and friend. He will be dearly missed.

Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, David Deblois; a daughter, Heidi Marie Deblois; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Cecile Deblois of East Hartford; a sister, Louise Deblois of North Carolina; a dear niece, Gabrielle; and many frieneds.

A funeral service will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, June 5, at D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of St. Mark, in Glastonbury.

Burial will be in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.

Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m Sunday, June 4, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 45 Wintonbury Ave., Bloomfield, CT 06002.

DUBOIS

Mark A. Dubois, 40, of Enfield, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs.

He was born in San Antonio, Feb. 8, 1960. He resided in Enfield most of his life and attended school there.

Mark leaves his mother, Linda Hajec of Somers; a brother and sister-in-law, Todd and Glenda Dubois of Broad Brook; a sister and brother-in-law, Janis and Antonio D'Angelo of Springfield; his father, Armand Dubois of Marble Falls, Texas; his nieces and nephews, Antonio, Dominic, and Erica D'Angelo, and Derek and Emily Dubois; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Mark was an avid fisherman.

The funeral service will be private, at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours.

Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield, is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Enfield Community Ambulance Fund, Box 1249, Enfield, CT 06083-1249.

GEBEL

Mary Frances Gebel, born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 11, 1917, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at her son and daughter-in-law's home in East Hartford.

She had resided in Manchester since 1955. Frances was retired from Aetna in 1982 and was a lifetime member of the Manchester Salvation Army.

She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Ronald and Jill, David Sr. and Terry; six grandchildren, Lisa Gebel-Popscynski and her husband, Roman, Erik Sr., David Jr., Jason, Tanya, and Roseanne; three great-grandchildren, Erik Jr., Peter, and Scott; a niece and her husband, Barbara and Harry Sipe; and great-nieces and -nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at the Salvation Army, 661 Main St., Manchester.

JENSEN

Alice M. (Bowie) Jensen, 93, of East Hartford, wife of the late Stanley P. Jensen, died Thursday, June 1, 2000.

Alice was a loyal member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church for 47 years, where she served on various committees and boards as church secretary. She retired from First National Stores in 1970.

Mrs. Jensen is survived by a sister, Ethel Frink of Clearwater, Fla. She was a beloved mother and leaves her daughter and spouse, Audrey and Ralph Elliott of East Hartford. She was a devoted grandmother to her three grandchildren and their spouses, Mark and Marlies Elliott of Colchester, Cynthia and Matthew Manliguis of East Hartford, and Lisa Elliott of Manchester. She also leaves four great-grandchildren, Aaron and Kristen Elliott, and Daniel and Maile Manliguis. She was predeceased by a very dear friend, Raymond Hyatt.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 110 Ellington Road, East Hartford.

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, June 2, at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Wesley Memorial Church, Gifts and Memorial Fund, 110 Ellington Road, East Hartford, CT 06108.

MUNDLE

Donald "Don" W. Mundle, 59, of Enfield, died peacefully at his home with his family at his side, on Wednesday, May 31, 2000.

He was born in Hartford, Oct. 19, 1940, the son of the late Ernest and Clara (Moore) Mundle, and was a lifelong resident of Enfield. He was employed by Comasec Safety Inc. Enfield for 10 years. Don was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion Tanquay Magill Post No.80, Enfield. Don enjoyed fishing with his best friend, Ciro St. George, for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carole (Vrba) Mundle; two daughters, Heather D. Mundle of Enfield and Jennifer C. Mundle of Portland. He also leaves four sisters, Connie of Arizona, Marion of Unionville, Henrietta of Hartford, and Marsha of Enfield; and many nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday, June 4, from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield (exit 48 off I-91, east on Route 220 for 1*q1/4 miles).

His family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial with military honors will be in Hazardville Cemetery at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 6.

OLSON

Linda S. Olson, 52 of Enfield, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

Born in Springfield, Linda was a lifelong Enfield resident. She had been employed for 32 years by the former W.J. Foss Corp. of West Springfield. Linda was a communicant of St. Martha Church in Enfield and did many hours of volunteer work at St. Martha School, as well as with the Little Sisters of the Poor of Enfield.

She is survived by her brother, Eric W. Olson Jr. of Feeding Hills, Mass.; her three sisters, Edith Abert of Enfield, Shirley Stratton of Rutland, Vt., and Mona Piotrowski of Enfield; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Martha Church.

Burial will be in St. Patrick King Street Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 2, at the funeral home.

Donations, in Linda's name may be made to the St. Martha School Annual Fund, 214 Brainard Road, Enfield, CT 06082.

PRICE

Edwin W. "Skip" Price, 63, of West Suffield, husband of Joan (Pelletier) Price, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at home after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Born in Suffield, son of the late Edwin and Helen (Loomis) Price, he was a lifelong resident. He founded Ed Price & Sons and operated the company for 25 years before retiring in 1999. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, Suffield, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and a former member of the Raymond B. McHugh Post No.4740 of Windsor.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Michael and his wife, Cathy, Steven Price, and Scott Price, all of West Suffield; two daughters and their husbands, Debra and Peter Picard of Suffield, Diane and George MacIntyre of Southwick, Mass; a sister, Judy Sweatland of Gahanna, Ohio; three brothers, Gary Price of Meriden, Daniel Price of Windsor, and James Price of West Palm Beach, Fla; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two grandchildren, Jeffrey Buskey and Matthew MacIntyre, and a brother, Timothy Price.

A funeral service was to be held today, June 2, at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. (Route 159), Suffield.

Burial will be in West Suffield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Second Baptist Church, 100 N. Main St., Suffield, CT 06078; Suffield Emergency Aid Hospice Fund, 450 South St., Suffield, CT 06078; or the ALS National Association, 27001 Agoura Road, Suite 150, Calabasas Hills, CA 91301.

QUENO

Evelyn "DeeDee" (Lucente) Queno, 75, of Rocky Hill, wife of Thomas J. Queno Sr., died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford.

Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Rossi) Lucente and lived in Rocky Hill for many years. She retired from the credit department of Sage-Allen, after 25 years of service.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Susan Queno of Wethersfield, Thomas J. Queno Jr. and his wife, Karen, of South Windsor; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan M. and Chuck Kohrer of North Granby; two brothers, Enrico Lucente of Melbourne, Fla., and Edward Lucente of South Glastonbury; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Edith and Frank DeRosa of Glastonbury and Elizabeth and Sal Geremiah of Wallingford; seven grandchildren, Brendan and Ryan Kohrer, Thomas and Dana Queno, Michael, Joseph, and Derek Queno; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service is at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 3, from D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, Rocky Hill.

Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.

Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, June 2, at the funeral home.

BARBERI

Frederick J. Barberi, 81, of South Elm Street, Windsor Locks, beloved husband of Stella (Kuczynski) Barberi, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, May 13, 2000, surrounded by his loving family at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford.

Born in Windsor Locks, a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Chella) Barberi, he was a lifetime resident and was educated in the local schools. Freddy was employed at the Dexter Corp. for 30 years and for much of the same time was also associated with the Smalley Brothers Construction Co. for more than 40 years, retiring 10 years ago. He was a faithful communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Windsor Locks, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

In addition to Stella, his loving wife of 55 years, Freddy is survived by two sons, Frederick R. Barberi of Stamford, and Eugene R. Barberi Sr., and his wife, Anne, of Suffield; a daughter, Debra Barrett and her husband, James F. Barrett Jr. of Simsbury; three grandchildren, Mathew Barberi of Florida, Eugene R. Barberi Jr. of Texas, and Sandra Tomasiewicz and her husband, Patrick, of Avon; his great-granddaughter, Kristin in Texas; and several nieces, nephews, and many dear and lifelong friends in Windsor Locks. He also leaves his two adored family pets, Chelsea, and Greta-Bear. His two brothers, Joseph and John, predeceased him. Freddy's warm smile and genuine friendship will be sadly missed by all who knew him through the years.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., for a procession to St. Robert Bellarmine Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Windsor Locks.

His family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today, May 15, at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 52 S. Elm St., Windsor Locks, CT 06096, or to the Windsor Locks Lions Ambulance Fund, Box 312, Windsor Locks, CT 06096.
