RADZIEWICZ
Joseph T. Radziewicz, 59, of South Glastonbury, formerly of Somers, widower of Carol A. (Kresge) Radziewicz, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Hartford Hospital.
Born in Rockville, son of the late Joseph G. and Mary (Holowienko) Radziewicz, Joseph was a resident of Somers most of his life, moving to South Glastonbury in 1996. He was a graduate of Rockville High School, Class of 1959. Joe was employed for Pratt & Whitney, Division of United Technologies Corp., for 35 years and later was employed for BNB Manufacturing. He was a former member of the Somers Volunteer Fire Department, and for several years, coached boys' Little League and girls' Ponytail Softball.
Joseph is survived by his best friend and companion, Kaye Overbye; two daughters, Kimberly Radziewicz of Enfield, and Krista Colthup and her husband, Bruce, of Stamford; and two brothers, James Radziewicz and his wife, Barbara, of Somers, and John Radziewicz and his wife, Florence, of Enfield.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, at the Somers Congregational Church, Main Street, Somers. Burial will be in West Cemetery, Somers.
Joseph's family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, at the Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main St.

SCHULTZ
Willis Schultz of Manchester passed away on Friday, May 19, 2000, at Hartford Hospital.
He was born in Rega, Latvia, in 1911 and immigrated to the United States when he was only 15 by stowing away on a steamship. He was discovered and was then employed by the ship to compensate for his transgression. He then spent some time in Switzerland before coming to the United States to make contact with relatives, settling first in New York. He met his wife, Marie, there and they moved to East Hartford, becoming farmers. After selling their farm they moved to Glastonbury where they made their home for a number of years before moving to Manchester. In 1964 Willis became a U.S. citizen. He left home at such an early age, seeking his fortune in America, he never had any meeting with his family after he left Latvia. He owned a residential painting company for many years before retiring.
He leaves his son, Willis P. Schultz and his wife, Lois, of Suffield; his son, Donald Schultz and his wife, Christian, of Williamantic; his stepson Thomas Scriven and his wife, Phyllis, of East Hartford, he also leaves his former daughter-in-law, Madeline Schultz of Glastonbury; and four grandchildren, Gary Schultz and his wife, Cathy, Cindy Lapier and her husband, Kenneth, both of Glastonbury, Aaron Schultz of Willimantic, and Thomas Scriven of East Hartford; and his great-grandchildren, Hannah and Benjamin Schultz, Scott and Jennifer Lapier, and Matthew and Brian Scriven of East Hartford.
He will be missed by all for his sense of humor and gentle manner.
The funeral services were held at today, May 22, at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, Manchester, followed by a burial in West Cemetery.
BRIGHAM
Bradley W. Brigham, 50, of Coventry, beloved husband of Carol (Visser) Brigham, died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at Manchester Memorial Hospital.
Bradley was born on Dec. 5, 1949, in Boston. He spent his childhood in Hanover, Mass., and graduated from Boston College. Bradley pursued a career in banking for 32 years and was employed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Besides his wife, Carol, he is survived by his children, Kenneth Willem and Jennifer Lynn; his sisters, Lindalee Whiting and Joan L. Cruise, and their families. Bradley was also very close to his wife's family, who will miss him dearly.
Burial will be private in Church Hill Cemetery, Norwell, Mass.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the Coventry Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Turnpike, Route 44, Coventry.

CALDWELL
Olive Louise (Woodworth) (Edwards) Caldwell, 95, formerly of 110 South Road, died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at a local nursing home. She was the widow of Raymond Caldwell, who died in 1980, and Burton Edwards, who died in 1974.
Born in Suffield, daughter of the late Allyn and Susan (Dibble) Woodworth, she was a resident of Enfield most of her life and was an active member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Enfield. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a hostess at the former Mountain Laurel Restaurant for several years, and later was employed at the real estate office of the late Martin Lucas. She was involved with the Penelope Terry Abbey Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Woman's Club of Enfield.
Olive is survived by her son, Allyn Edwards and his wife, Marilyn, of Eastford; three grandchildren, Susan Nai and Patricia Daigneau of East Windsor, and Laurie Miller of Stafford Springs; seven great-grandchildren, Christopher and Thomas Nai, Paul, Jack, and Cathryn Daigneau, and Jake and Seth Miller.
Services and burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Suffield, will be private.

MULLEN
Eleanor N. (Niemiec) Mullen, 94, of Enfield, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Mrs. Mullen was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, John H. Mullen.
She was born in Enfield, May 8, 1906, the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Salamon) Niemiec, and educated in Enfield. She resided in Stafford Springs for many years, having returned to Enfield 15 years ago. Eleanor was a communicant of St. Adalbert Church, Enfield, and a former member of St. Edward Church, Stafford Springs.
Mrs. Mullen is survived by a sister, Mrs. Fannie Sweeney of Enfield; other relatives, June Kennedy and her husband, Dorne, of Cape Coral, Fla., Thomas, Glenda and Tommi Jo Kennedy of Centerville, Mont., Robyn Reed, Katie Beaumont, and Kelli and Megan Edge, all of Tallahassee, Fla.
A funeral service will be held at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Adalbert Church, Alden Avenue, Enfield.
Burial will be in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs.

BELL
Robert Bell, 72, of 138 Heister Road, Exeter Township, Pa., formerly of 133 Ross Keen Court, Phoenixville, Pa., died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at 4:10 a.m. in the Phoenixville Hospital where he had been a patient for 10 days. He was the husband of Marion (Doneberger) Bell.
Born in Manchester, he was the son of the late Isaac and Martha (Gordon) Bell.
He was employed as the executive director of the Royer Greaves School in Paoli, Pa., for 15 years, before retiring in 1995. He received an associate's degree in accounting from the former Hartford Business School in 1948, and was a 1946 graduate of Manchester High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Phoenixville. Bell served as past Supreme Grand Master of the Loyal Orange Institution of the USA from 1966 to 1968. He was also past Grand Master of Loyal Black Preceptories C of I of USA.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Philip R. Bell of Willow Grove, Pa., Ronald L. Conner of Sinking Spring, Pa., and Randy L. Conner of Hatboro, Pa.; a daughter, Carol M. Bell of Norristown, Pa.; a sister, Madeline Ziebarth of Manchester; a brother, Gordon Bell of Camarillo, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 13, in the First United Methodist Church, 800 S. Main St., Phoenixville. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

BEZZINI
Eleanor (Norton) Bezzini, 81, of Manchester, the widow of Charles R. Bezzini, died Friday, May 5, 2000, at a local convalescent home.
Born in Hartford, she had lived in Manchester most of her life. She was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption, Manchester.
Eleanor is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert C. and Eleanor Bezzini of Manchester, and Guy R. and Nancy Bezzini of Vernon; six grandchildren, Matthew, Kim, Erin, Guy Jr., Caitlin, and Jamie; a great- grandson, Alexander Bezzini; her sister, Joan McSorley of East Hartford; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sharon Bezzini, and a sister, Rita.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manchester.

DOWGIEWICZ
Mary (Chrzanowski) Dowgiewicz, 80, of Rockville, widow of John P. Dowgiewicz, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at Rockville General Hospital.
She was born in New Britain and had lived in Rockville for many years. Before her retirement in 1983, she was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. Mrs. Dowgiewicz was a member of the Vernon Senior Citizens Club, the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Club, and a communicant of St. Joseph Church where she was a member of the St. Helen Society and the Rosary Society.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Toni Dowgiewicz of Rockville, Thomas and Billie Dowgiewicz of Tolland, and Michael and Susan Dowgiewicz of Rockville; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and John Keaney of Redding, Calif.; her grandchildren, John, Brian, Kevin, Laura, Jason, Lee, Susanna, Sean, Heather, Joshua, Jessica, and Brian; and her great-grand-children, Kayla, Steven, Olivia, and Ryan.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, from the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Rockville. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery, Rockville.

FINK
Pauline A. Fink, 84, of West Main Street, Rockville, died Friday, May 5, 2000, at a local nursing home.
She was born in Rockville on Oct. 12, 1915, the daughter of the late Max and Elizabeth (Landgraf) Glaser. Mrs. Fink was a member of the Union Congregational Church, Rockville. She was formerly employed by Rice Packaging.
She is survived by her grandchildren, David Magdefrau of Rockville and Linda Pozzato of Tolland; a great-grandson, Matthew Pozzato of Tolland; a son-in-law, Richard Magdefrau of Rockville; and a good friend, Frances Rose, with whom she made her home. She was recently predeceased by her daughter, Frances Magdefrau.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, at White-Gibson-Small Funeral Home, 65 Elm St., Rockville, with the Rev. David C. Nutt officiating. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Rockville.

HOFFMAN
Caroline B. Hoffman, 61, of Gold Street, Stafford Springs, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at Hartford Hospital.
She was born in Claverack, N.Y., daughter of Jacob Hoffman and the late Fern L. (Platner) Hoff-man. She was a certified nursing assistant for Olympic Health Care in Manchester for 20 years, and was a chapter officer to United Health Care Workers Local No. 1199.
Caroline is survived by her father, Jacob Hoffman of Hudson, N.Y.; two aunts and uncles, Mabel E. and John E. Rowe of Stafford Springs, and Edna and Robert Peterson of West Hartford; and several cousins.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, at the Introvigne Funeral Home, 51 E. Main St., Stafford Springs, with the Rev. Sharon Miesel officiating. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery.
