Mrs. Wezenski was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Nicola & Alfonsina Pepe Pesticci. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Pascale and a granddaughter, Jennifer Pascale. She was predeceased by her son in law, William S. Pascale; 5 brothers, George, James V., Pasquale, Louis & Albert Pesticci and 4 sisters, Josephine Guerra, Mary Montesanto, Lena Crescenti & Lucille Basti.

Angelina Marcello Milici, 80, formerly of 311 Eastern St., New Haven, died Nov. 11, 2006. She was the widow of Raymond Milici. Mrs. Milici was born in New Haven Jan. 24, 1926, daughter of the late Frederick & Marie Pirozza Marcello. She worked as a sales lady for the former Edw. Malley Co. and for Ann Taylor prior to her retirement. She is survived by a daughter, Michele (Earl) Smart of New Haven; 2 sons, Raymond D. Milici of Woodbridge & Charles F. Milici of East Haven; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Domenic & Anthony “Mack” Marcello and 3 sisters, Ann Grasso, Connie Suppe & Marie Marcello.

Concetta “Kate” Simeone of 115 Ellsworth Avenue, New Haven died Nov. 9, 2006 in St. Regis/Grimes Health Care Center. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Petrillo Simeone. She worked as a clerk in the Medical Records Dept. of the Hospital of St. Raphael for 29 years prior to her retirement in 1985. She is survived by a brother, Joseph A. Simeone Jr. of Woodbridge; 3 sisters, Josephine Koktish of Far Hills, N.J., Gloria Zalesli of West Haven & Beatrice Simeone of New Haven; and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by 3 sisters, Mary Peluso, Philomena Frio & Therese Kurpiewski.

Mary Puiia Cozza, 89, formerly of Shagbark Drive, Derby & Glen View Terrace, New Haven, died Oct. 22, 2006 in Griffin Hospital, Derby. She was the widow of Vincent Cozza. Mrs. Cozza was born in New Haven Dec. 3, 1916, daughter of the late Dominico (Alfred) Puiia and Angelina Ruggiero Puiia. She was employed by the Hospital of St. Raphael as a skilled seamstress for many years prior to retirement. She is survived by a son, Joseph (Lillian) Cozza of Orange, to whom she was devoted; a brother, Fred Cozza and a sister, Belinda Tiroletto, both of New Haven; 3 loving grandchildren, Damaris, Jared & Jessica Cozza and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Emily Puiia.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services in Christ Presbyterian Church PCA, 135 Whitney Ave. at Bradley St., New Haven Tuesday morning at 10:00 with Rev. Preston Graham officiating. James M. Lowry, 50, of West Haven, died suddenly on Oct. 19, 2006. Born in New Haven Dec. 11, 1955, he was the son of the late Thomas and Anna Solakian Lowry. He worked as a construction laborer for several years. He is survived by a son, Ryan Lowry and his mother, Kristina of Branford; a daughter, Jessica and her mother, Michelle Lowry of West Haven; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Lena Barra Alegi, 88, of 5 Furman Rd., Hamden passed away in St. Raphael’s Hospital on Oct. 13, 2006. She was the widow of Dino J. Alegi. Mrs. Alegi, daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Mazzaro Barra, was born in New Haven Aug. 23, 1918. Prior to retirement, she worked for New Haven Elderly Nutrition Program. She is survived by a son, Thomas A. (Elaine) Alegi of Hamden; 2 daughters, Noreen (Vincent) DeDomenico & Elizabeth (Daniel) Clifford, both of Hamden; a brother, Raymond (Belinda)Barra and a sister, Angelina Vitello, both of Hamden; 4 grandchildren, Vincent DeDomenico Jr, Gregory Clifford, Richard Alegi & Laurie Manganiello; 2 great grandchildren, Thomas & Christopher Manganiello; and a niece, Elizabeth Brady. She was predeceased by a brother, Nicholas Barra and her grandson, Thomas D. Alegi.

Dominic F. (Donnie-Beansy) Fasulo, 56, of 1737 Litchfield Tpke., Woodbridge, died Oct. 9, 2006 in Hartford Hospital. He was the husband of Janice Carp Fasulo. Mr. Fasulo, son of the late John & Anna Amato Fasulo, was born in New Haven April 15, 1950. He was a driller and heavy equipment operator for J & J Blasting Co. of Madison. He was a member of Local 455, Connecticut Labor Union, a member and director of ESP Fraternity and a member of Diversified Employment Softball Team. He was an avid fisherman and had a great love for the water. Beside his wife, he is survived by a sister, Connie Costanza of Madison; a step son, Daryl Straw of Milford; 2 step daughters, Shelly Straw & Rachel Porter, both of Waterbury; 2 sisters in law, Jackie Fasulo of Madison & June Fasulo of Huntington; 2 step grandchildren, 2 godchildren and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Louis & John Fasulo Jr.

Mary J. Fortes Antunes, 79, formerly of 8 Lewis St. & 1 Brewery Sq., New Haven, died Oct. 8, 2006. She was the widow of Manuel J. Antunes Sr. Mrs. Antunes, daughter of the late Jose & Josephine Brito Fortes, was born in New Haven March 15, 1927. Prior to retirement, she worked as a presser for the former Gant Shirtmakers. She enjoyed Arts & Crafts, Picture Puzzles and Word Puzzles and was a member of the Cape Verdean Social Club. She is survived by 2 sons, Alderman Gerald M. (Jacqueline) Antunes (Ret. Captain, NHPD) of New Haven and Manuel J. (Bonnie) Antunes of NYC; a brother, Manuel J. (Lillian) Fortes and sisters in law, Dolores Fortes & Julia Antunes; 7 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jo Ann Antunes Cohen & a brother, Antonio Fortes.

Carmine Nicholas Iannuzzi Sr., 81, of Woodbridge, devoted husband of Ethel “Rusty” Schmitt Iannuzzi, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 3, 2006 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Carmine was born in Casalduni, Italy on July 16, 1925. He immigrated to the United States in 1939. From 1948 to 1952, he served his country with the US Army of Occupation in Japan. After his discharge, he was employed at the Uniroyal Chemical Company as a pipe fitter and chemical worker until his retirement in 1999. During his time at Uniroyal, he served in various official capacities for Union Local 218, United Rubber Workers. He was an untiring advocate of worker’s rights. Carmine was a man of the Earth. He was an extraordinary gardener with a special penchant for tomatoes. There was always an over-abundance of assorted vegetables, fruits, and flowers enveloping his land. In addition, he was a selfless, kind-hearted individual who was ready to assist anyone in need. Aside from his work and garden, Carmine was an avid New York Yankees fan. Most importantly, he was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who treasured his family above all else. Carmine was greatly loved by many and will be deeply missed by all. Beside his wife, he is survived by his step mother, Pasqualina Corbo Iannuzzi of Woodbridge; 3 sons, John (Susan) Iannuzzi of New Smyrna Beach, FL., Carmine Iannuzzi Jr. of Bethany & William Iannuzzi of Woodbridge; 4 daughters, Gloria (Michael) Calhoun of Bethany, Cynthia Iannuzzi of Westport, Teresa Iannuzzi (Elliot Schlessel) of Woodbridge & Lisa Iannuzzi of New Haven; 2 brothers, Nicholas (Dolores) Iannuzzi of Fall River, MA & Pasquale R.(Carol) Iannuzzi of Litchfield; 4 grandchildren, Victor, Anthony, Melinda & Andrew Calhoun.

Concetta “Connie” Zotti Grillo, 92, formerly of Highland St., West Haven, passed away peacefully Sept. 21, 2006 in Harborside Arden House. She was the widow of George Grillo. Mrs. Grillo, daughter of the late Cosimo & Emma Zotti, was born in New Haven Oct. 16, 1913. She worked as a custom tailor for J. Press for over 40 years prior to her retirement 12 years ago. She was a member of the New Haven Council of Catholic Women. She is survived by a son, Nickolas (Dorothy) Grillo Sr. and a daughter, Rosemarie Caprio, both of West Haven; a sister, Elizabeth Vitagliano of New Haven; 3 brothers, Roger Zotti of Madison, David Zotti of West Haven & George Zotti of Hamden; 6 grandchildren, Mary Ann, Nicole & Nicholas Grillo Jr., Rob DellaCamera Jr., Ginny (Troy) Pelfrey & Russell (Karen) Caprio Jr.; and 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son in law, Russell Caprio & 2 brothers, Louis & Mario Zotti.

Anne Esposito D’Amato, 85, passed away Sept. 12, 2006 in Branford Hills Health Care, where she had been a patient for some time. She was the wife of the late Peter D’Amato and was a former resident of Ricardo St., West Haven. Born in New Haven March 25, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Frank A. & Josephine Vita Esposito. A graduate of Hillhouse High School and Grace New Haven School of Nursing, she was a private duty nurse at both Yale New Haven and St. Raphael’s Hospitals. She was a caring and compassionate nurse to all her patients. She and her husband loved ballroom dancing and listening to music. She is survived by a son, Peter M.( Patricia) D’Amato of Bethany; a daughter, Susan (Reed) Davignon of Mystic; a sister, Josephine (Dr. Giacomo) Mordente of East Haven; 3 grandchildren, Diane Diana, Christine D’Amato & Angelique Beckmann; and 2 great grandchildren, Rachel & John Diana. She was predeceased by her sister & brother in law, Lucille & Dr. Frederick Amore.

Missouri Louise Antunes, 69, of 71 Spruce St., West Haven, departed this life Aug. 25, 2006 at The CT Hospice, Branford after a brief illness. Born in Baltimore, MD Dec. 12, 1936, she was the daughter of Mrs. Rosezella VanBuren of Baltimore & the late Verley VanBuren. She was a 1955 graduate of Douglas High School, continuing on to Morgan State Univ. where she received her degree in early childhood education. She taught elementary school in Baltimore until her marriage to the late Joaquim P. Antunes, when she moved to New Haven. She was employed by New Haven Child Development Program for many years until her retirement in April 2000. After successfully raising 7 children, she returned to her home with her mother in Baltimore. Beside her mother, she is survived by 2 sons, Michael P. (Denise) Antunes of West Haven & Joaquim P. (Sharon) Antunes III of Roslindale, MA.; 5 daughters, Christy R. (Frederick) Allen & Rosezella Antunes, both of Mattapan, MA., Crystal (Richard) Fontanez, L’Tanya & Ignacia Antunes, all of West Haven; a sister, June VanBuren Moreland & brother in law, Morris Moreland of New Haven; 15 grandchildren, a nephew, Marcus Moreland, and a host of relatives and friends throughout the West Haven and New Haven communities.
