He is also survived by a nephew, James Beraduce, a niece, Paula Mirmina, and great-nieces, April and Robin. He was pre-deceased by brothers, James and John Beraduce, and a sister Josephine Bontatibus.
He was born in Branford March 25, 1920, son of the late Angelo and Contilia Oddi Beraduce, and was a lifelong resident of Branford. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, and he belonged to American Legion Post 83 in Branford.
He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church in Branford. He was an avid reader, especially history books and westerns. He loved his vegetable garden and he and his wife enjoyed playing bocce together.
Funeral from the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Branford, Wednesday morning at 9:30 with a Mass of Christian burial in St. Elizabeth Church at 10:00. Burial in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. Friends may call Wednesday from 8:30 - 9:30 AM.

In New Haven, December 8, 2006, Ethel Bergman of Rose St. Branford, previously of East Haven. Wife of the late Kenneth Bergman. Mother of Cynthia Bergman of East Haven, Cheryl Bergman and her husband Aldo Cupo of Westville, Jim Bergman and his wife Darece of Lenexa, Kansas, and Allan Bergman and his wife Joan of Phoenix, AZ. Sister of Roberta Keirstead, Sidney Smith, and Galen Smith, all of Presque Isle, Maine. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers Floyd and Harvey Smith. Mrs. Bergman was born in Mapleton, Maine on June 27, 1918, a daughter of the late Millard and Ruby Fisher Smith. She worked for American Powdered Metals in North Haven for many years. She was a 50 year plus member of the Pilgrim Church in Fair Haven. She taught Sunday school at the church and was a member of the Pilgrim Church Women's Federation. She was a past president of the East Haven PTA. She was an avid bowler and a passionate fan of the UCONN men's and women's basketball teams and the Boston Red Sox. She enjoyed gardening and was famous in the family, and in the neighborhood, for her gift for baking, especially her Christmas cookie platters. She will be truly misseed by her family and her many friends, young and old, who know what a remarkable gift it was to have known her.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 at the Pilgrim Church on East Grand Avenue in Fair Haven. Burial will be in Centerville Cemetery in Hamden. Friends may call Monday from 4-7 P.M. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St. Branford. Mother of Leslie J. Bernardini of Branford, and the late Suzanne J. Bernardini. Sister of Dolores (Edward) Parcella of Hamden. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was born in Providence, RI, May 25, 1927, daughter of the late John A. L. and Blanche Beauvais McGillivray. She was a retired bookkeeper for Superior Bag & Paper Co. in New Haven.

Robert T. Courtmanche

Robert T. "Bob" Courtmanche, 62, of 69 Hampton Park East, Branford, died peacefully at Connecticut Hospice, on Wednesday May 15, 2002, after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Suzanne McIntosh Courtmanche.
He was born November 8, 1939 in New Haven, cherished son of the late Gordon and Ethel Moore Courtmanche. He was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne, U. S. Army, serving in Germany. Prior to his retirement, he was a longtime computer programmer at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Sheild. He was a dedicated friend of Bill W. for 30 years, and lived according to the Twelve Steps of a worldwide fellowship. For the past 30 years, he served the community as a volunteer at such organizations as the Shirley Frank Foundation, Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers, and the Ronald McDonald House. He traveled extensively with his wife to many countries throughout the world. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was the dedicated father and step-father, and father-in-law of Yvonne Courtmanche of Bennington, VT, John and Ann Courtmanche of Fairfield, Susan Riccitelli of San Francisco, CA, and Michael and Christine Fernandis Riccitelli of Milton, DE. He was the devoted "Pop-Pop" of Reed and Clay Courtmanche. He was the greatly loved and admired oldest brother and brother-in-law of Gordon and Kate Klarman Courtmanche of East Haven, John and Betse Courtmanche of New Haven, Walter "Bud" and Nancy Courtmanche of Cheshire, Michelle "Mimi" and Fred Conforte of Northford, Gary and Sandy Courtmanche, Denise and Joseph Vignola, Nancy and John Moynahan, Wayne Courtmanche, and Suzette and Michael Benetiz, all of Hamden. He is also survived by 28 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday May 20th at 11:00 AM in the First Congregational Church of Branford. Burial in Center Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 3 - 8 PM at the W. S. Mrs. Cousins was born in Waterbury January 10, 1939, daughter of the late William and Ethel Stanton. She was a member of American Legion Post 83 Auxiliary.

She was the beloved mother of Mary Sue Condon of Killingworth, Robert E. Croke, JR of Southbury and Patricia Croke of New Haven. She was the sister of Helen Krueger of IL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son Brian P. Croke.
Mrs. Croke was born March 18, 1909 in Chicago, a daughter of the late John and Helen Schmidt Keating. She was a resident of Branford for many years until moving to Southbury.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday November 16th at 10:00 in St. Mary Church, Branford.
