In New Haven March 25, 2001, Joseph Stewart Blakely, husband of the late Mabel Louise Crowther Blakely of 48 Palmer Rd., Branford.
Father of Valerie Vishno and Daniel Blakely of Branford. Also survived by 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Pre-deceased by a grandson Michael Vishno.
He was born in Shelton, June 1, 1910, son of the late Joseph S. and Mary Blakely. He retired in 1972 from SNET where he worked as a switchboard repairman for 32 years. He was a member of Widows Sons Lodge Masonic Temple # 66 in Branford and the Branford Elks Club, and the SNET Pioneers.
A grave side service will be held at a later date. The W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Branford is in charge of arrangements.

Francis G. Adinolfi, 81, of East Haycock Point Rd., Branford died Tuesday March 7, 2000. He was the husband of Stella Dymarczyk Adinolfi. He was born June 30, 1918 in New Haven a son of the late Anthony and Catherine Perri Adinolfi. He worked for many years ford Echlin Manufacturing and for A. C. Gilbert Co. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Bowling League and a communicant of St. Mary Church in Branford. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter Mary Manseau of West Haven, two sons, Dr. Michael Adinolfi of New Orleans and Paul Adinolfi of Branford, a brother Salvatore Adinolfi of Madison, a sister Jean Meglio of Branford, and 10 grandchildren. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday morning at 11:00 in St. Mary Church Branford. Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. There are no calling hours. At home April 11, 2000, Victor Amatori, Sr., husband of Angela Francione Amatori of 22 Chestnut St., Branford. Father of Victor Amatori, Jr. of Branford.
He was born in Branford September 24, 1921, son of the late Christopher and Jennie Ghiroli Amatori. He was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary Church in Branford. He was an accountant for the Armstrong Rubber Co. in New Haven from 1954 - 1986. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II. He played the trumpet in the Branford Town Band, and for over 50 years he played Taps on the Branford Green at the start of the Memorial Day and Veterans Day Parades.
He was a member of the Italian-American Club in Branford, and bowled in many bowling leagues at Cherry Hill Lanes in Branford.

In New Haven September 13, 2000 Elizabeth Morse "Mabel" Austin, formerly of Bradley Avenue in Branford. Mother of Darlyne Gentile, Joan Perrotti, Jean, Virginia, William and Donald Austin, all of Branford. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her former husband Warren Austin, a son Charles Herman Austin, and by her brothers Whitney, Richard, Leslie and Frank Morse. Mrs. Austin was born in Guilford on January 25, 1908, a daughter of the late Charles and Minnie Coe Morse. She worked for the Seamless Rubber Co. in New Haven and was a longtime Branford resident.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 at the Alderbrook Cemetery in Guilford. There will be no calling hours. The W.S. He was born in New Haven Sept. 21, 1928, son of the late George and Gabriella Barberi Barba. He was Vice-President of Atlantic Diving and Welding, and he was the owner of the former Colonial Auto Body Shop and the Trading Post Antique Shop in Branford. He was a former Auto Body Repair instructor at TCI. and was a member of American Legion Post 83 in Branford.

Mr. Barnes was born on September 25, 1928 in Riverside, Cal., son of the late Earl and Caroline Porter Barnes. He was a graduate of both West Point and M.I.T. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Air Force and was an accomplished pilot. He was an engineer for Lockheed Martin in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
