Dorothy (Stearns) Bellman

Dorothy (Stearns) Bellman, 58, of Lebanon, widow of Roger Bellman, died Tuesday, 12/27/05, in Douglas Manor in Windham Center.
She was born March 24, 1947 in Meriden, CT the daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Thompkins) Stearns.
She had owned and operated the R Place Restaurant in Willimantic, CT.
Her survivors include two daughters: Jamie Marshall of Sterling and Donna Drauss of Moodus; a sister, Linda Rutchik and her husband, Nathan of Norwich; three grandchildren: Joseph Sands, Jimmy Sands and Daniel Drauss. She also leaves a cousin, Peter Stearns. Dorothy was predeceased by a sister, Diane Humphreys.
Her Graveside Service will be held Friday, 12/30/05, at 10:30 a.m. in Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave. Hartford. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic.

Ethel Lorraine Bergeron
06/21/1914 - 2/2/2005
Ethel Lorraine Bergeron, 90, of Willimantic, died Feb. 2, 2005 in St. Joseph Living Center.
She was born June 21, 1914 in Willimantic the daughter of Joseph and Ethel (Loughlin) Bergeron.
She was a graduate of local schools and several Army and Navy schools. After 5 years with the Dept. of Agriculture at UConn, Lorraine was a Management Analyst at the Sub Base in Groton for 30 years. During World War 2, she served in the Womens Army Corps and attained the rank of First Sergeant. She returned to the Sub Base and worked as an analyst, retiring in 1969. She worked as a Tax Consultant until 1990. Lorraine loved her country and has been a member of the American Legion for 58 years.
Her survivors include a nephew Dennis Bergeron and his wife, Eleanor of Duncanville, TX; grandnephew, Stephen Bergeron and his wife, Louise and their three sons, John Paul, Christopher and Alex of Omaha, NE; a grandniece, Kristen Lorraine Bergeron and her husband, Christopher Bates of Austin, TX; a longtime friend, Gertrude Galligan of Willimantic and several cousins and friends. Lorraine was predeceased by her brother, Henry Bergeron.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 2/5/05, at 11 a.m. in St. Marys Church in Willimantic. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. Visitation will be Saturday, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for St. Joseph Living Center, 14 Club Rd. Windham, CT 06280, because of the excellent care, love and compassion they gave Lorraine.

Rose Guarneri Angello
06/07/1908 - 1/17/2005
Rose (Guarneri) Angello, 96, of Willimantic, died January, 17, 2005. She was the widow of Philip J. Angello, who had operated Phils Traveling Grocery.
She was born June 7, 1908 in Canicatti, Italy the daughter of Salvatore and Rosa (Ferrante) Guarneri.
She was a communicant of St. Josephs Church in Willimantic.
Her survivors include two daughters: Marie Pitney and her husband, William of East Granby and Phyllis Maloy of Suffern, NY; two brothers: Charles Guarneri of Griswold and Augustus Guarneri of Willimantic; a sister, Angela Guarneri of Willimantic. She also leaves four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 1/20/05, at Noon in St. Josephs Church in Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 5 to 7 p.m. and again on Thursday, from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic.

Margaret Coleman Johnson
07/10/1914 - 1/16/2005
Margaret (Coleman) Johnson, 90, of Coventry, widow of George W. Johnson, Sr., died peacefully, Sunday, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born July 10, 1914 in Manchester, CT the daughter of George W. and Helen (Strange) Coleman.
She had been a Switchboard Operator for the University of CT Police Dept., retiring many years ago.
Her survivors include a daughter, Judith Rohan of Windham Center and a son, George W. Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen of Coventry. She also leaves seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Carl G. Johnson and three sisters and two brothers.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 1/20/05, at 10 a.m. in St. Columba Church in Columbia. Burial will follow in the West Street Cemetery in Columbia. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic.

Fiore Sullo
Born in New Haven, Connecticut on Aug. 17, 1923
Departed on Feb. 6, 2004 and resided in New Haven, CT.

Fiore Sullo of 355 Ferry Street in New Haven died February 6 in the Clifton House. Mr. Sullo was born in New Haven August 17, 1923 a son of the late Pasquale and Carmel Sullo. He served with the Army during World War II where he received the Purple Heart. He then worked as a clerk for Universal Wire for more than 30 years. He was the brother of the late Mary Mentillo, Catherine Moccia, Michael, Henry, Joseph and Alfred "Babe" Sullo. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call Monday morning from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Place and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Donato Church at 10. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.

Romolo "Ronnie" Alessandrini
Born in New Haven, Connecticut on May. 11, 1916

Romolo "Ronnie" Alessandrini of 962 Townsend Avenue in New Haven died February 8. He was the husband of the late Marian McCord Alessandrini. Fiance of Sylvia Michaels of New Haven, father of Jessie Spino and great-grandfather of Anthony Spino both of Florida. Mr. Alessandrini was born in New Haven May 11, 1916 a son of the late Anthony and Zelinda Brunetti Alessandrini. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and worked at New England Supply Company, Berkshire Fuel, Hy's Livery Service and Iovanne Funeral Home. He was a member of the Marchegiano Society, Teamsters Local 443 and the 2nd Company Horse Guard. Home.

Susan Timoteo Sirignano, 91, of 2202 Groveland Drive in Lutz, Florida died February 7 in University Community Hospital. She was the wife of the late Vito (Jim Sirre) Sirignano. Mother of Rosalie Popolizio and her companion Robert Panico of Florida. Sister of Margaret Budeit of Guilford, Ann Tackett and Betty Manzi of Branford, Nettie Saunders of Cheshire, Connie Matsagas of North Haven and the late Rachel Maio, Mary Vanacore, Nancy Sandagata, Faye Ward, and Anthony Timoteo. Grandmother of Leonard and Steven Popolizio. Great grandmother of Sara and Abbey. Mrs. Sirignano was born in New Haven August 14, 1912 a daughter of the late Erasmo and Michilina Pinto Timoteo and had worked at the Strouse-Adler Company for many years.
