Joseph T. Andrews
Joseph T. (Ricky) Andrews, 57, formerly of Plainville, died March 8, 2004, at his home in Bradenton, Fla.
He was a lifelong resident of Plainville, who recently moved to Florida to enjoy his retirement.
He is survived by his mother, Anne Clarke, and a brother, Daniel Andrews, both of New Britain.
He is also survived by his children, Joseph Andrews Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Bradenton, Fla.; Suzette Bernier and her husband, Peter, of Plainville; Jason Andrews of Anna Maria Island, Fla.; and Sean Averso and his wife, Maggie, of Bradenton, Fla. He also leaces his grandchildren, Bryan Andrews of Bradenton, Fla.; Kaitlyn, Alexandra and Elisabeth Bernier of Plainville; and Nolan Averso of Bradenton, Fla.; and his stepmother, Lena Johnson; a stepbrother, John Johnson; and a stepsister, Lynn Johnson. all of Florida. Two brothers, Donald Andrews and Miles Clarke, predeceased him.
The funeral was held March 12 at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manasota Chapel, in Florida.
Phyllis R. Dzioba
Phyllis R. (Catucci) Dzioba, 79, of Plainville, died March 9, 2004.
She was the wife of the late John A. Dzioba.
She was born in Plainville on Dec. 24, 1924, the daughter of the late Vito Anthony and Rose (Giovinno) Catucci.
She was employed as an inspector for Fafnir Bearing in Newington for 15 years until her retirement in 1981.
She is survived by a daughter, Jan Phyllis Rose Alos, and her husband, Michael, of Plainville; a son, Richard A. Dzioba, and his wife, Lori, of Forestville; three grandsons, Derek R. Alos of Plainville, Scott R. Dzioba of Forestville and Michael John Alos; one granddaughter, Lindsay M. Dzioba of Forestville; a sister, Theresa (Catucci) Lawson of Plainville; a brother and sister-in-law, Alfred and Gloria Catucci of Bristol; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Ignatius "Iggy" Catucci, and two sisters, Elizabeth Catucci Rusczyk and Filamena Catucci.
The funeral was held March 11 at Our Lady of Mercy Church.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plainville.
Bailey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Marguerite Federowicz
Marguerite "Marge" (Grieco) Federowicz, 56, died March 11, 2004.
She was the wife of Richard Federowicz.
Mrs. Federowicz was employed by the Southington Board of Education and was at the Urbin T. Kelley School, working with special education students, at the time of her death.
Before working in Southington, she taught nursery school for 13 years.
Over the years she enjoyed cake decorating and numerous outdoor and indoor hobbies.
She volunteered with the Race for the Cure held in May at Walnut Hill Park in New Britain.
As a child, she spent many hours at the Walnut Hill Park.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Scott Federowicz and his wife, Kathryn, of Bristol; Derek Federowicz and his wife, Lisa, of Rockville; and Brett Federowicz of Newington. She is also survived by her mother, two brothers and four nephews, and her grandson, Zachary Federowicz. Her father, Peter L. Grieco Sr., predeceased her.
The funeral was held Monday at New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, followed by a funeral liturgy at St. Matthew Church in Forestville.
Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Plainville.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to Farmington Savings Bank at 117 East St., Plainville, CT 06062, to be used to purchase a park bench near the Breast Cancer Walk for Life at Walnut Hill Park.
Roger L. Leblanc
Roger L. LeBlanc, a longtime Bristol resident and former resident of Plainville, died at his home on Feb. 14, 2004, of apparent heart failure. He was 78.
He was born in Southbridge, Mass., son of the late Jean Roy LeBlanc and the late Marie Rose (Prosper) LeBlanc.
He lived in Bristol, Forestville and Plainville, attending local schools and graduating from the E.C. Goodwin Technical School, where he trained as a tool and die maker.
He also lived for a time in Bethel, Vt., where in the 1940s and '50s his parents owned Honeyland Farm, a wayside inn and historic antiques barn.
He served in the U.S. Naval Air Corps in World War II and the Korean War, and was awarded the Combat Air Crew Asiatic-Pacific Medal.
In the 1950s and '60s, as co-founder and plant manager of Tri-D Corp. in Farmington, he was in the forefront of the development of electrical discharge machining of parts for the aerospace industry, helping to pioneer the use of the Sparkatron machine in the production of blade turbines, and the Zeis machine, which employed a then-experimental argon atmosphere to bond disparate materials for use by NASA, the space agency.
In 1971 he founded Par-Fore Corp., which for nearly 20 years provided products and services to the hotel industry, supervising takeovers, renovations, opening and closings of properties from Florida to Maine.
He was an active member of the Connecticut Hotel and Motel Association.
He was a active member of St. John's Episcopal Church, serving on the committee which oversaw the church's move from its original site on Academy Street, Forestville, to its present location on Stafford Avenue, Bristol.
He served as a member of the vestry and of the canvassing committee that raised funds to build the original Sunday school wing.
LeBlanc was a Mason and a member of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew.
He belonged to the U.S. Power Squadron, holding rank of navigator, and served as a disaster chairman of the American Red Cross.
He is survived by a son, Keith LeBlanc of Bristol; a daughter, Jeannine McConnell of Ringoes, N.J.; a younger sister; a grandson; and many friends.

A memorial service will be held in May at Christ Church Episcopal in Sharon.
Janet M. Percival
Janet M. (Montano) Percival, 48, of Plainville died March 12, 2004, at New Britain General Hospital.
Born in Hartford, the daughter of Mary (Cardello) Montano and the late Albert Montano, she grew up in Newington and had lived in Plainville since 1975.
She had been employed for 25 years for the state of Connecticut in the Department of Transportation.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Russell Percival; a sister, Marie, and her husband, Michael Fox, of Newington; three brothers, Robert Montano of Northampton, Mass.; John and his wife, Toni Ann Montano; and Michael and his wife, Laurie Montano, all of Newington; her mother-in-law, Helen (Reardon) Percival of New Britain; two sisters-in-law, Patricia and her husband, John Laz, of Maine, and Karen Percival of New Britain; a brother-in-law, Dick, and his wife, Kathy Percival, of Kensington; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Montano.
The funeral and burial arrangements were private.

John Scannell
John "Jack" Scannell, 78,of Plainville, died March 5, 2004.
He was the husband of Maureen Kelley, in Jacksonville, Fla.
Born in Springfield, Mass., he was a Navy veteran of World War II and was awarded the Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theatre Medals, Philippine Liberation Medal and the Purple Heart.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Catherine Roth; three stepdaughters, Kelly McCormack; Pamela Szymanoski and Tracey Nicholas; six grandsons and three granddaughters, Jason and Ryan Jones; Matthew and C.J. McCormack; Bryan and Scott Szymanoski; Sarah Roth, Megan McCormack and Amy Szymanoski.
Services were held March 13 at New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain.
Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery, in Washington, D.C.
WILLIAM C. STEP
William Clyde Step, 85, of Plainville, died on May 18.
Born Aug. 9, 1917, in Pittsfield, Mass., he was the son of the late William and Mary (Shimko) Step.
Originally from Bristol, he was a resident of Plainville for almost 50 years.
He was a veteran of World War II and a graduate of Boston University in 1948.
He worked as an occupational analyst for the state Labor Department for 30 years before retiring in 1974.
A parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church, he was also a member of the Madeley-Roberts VFW Post #574 of which he was the commander in 1966-67, American Legion Post #2 of Bristol, the Loyal Order of Moose in New Britain and the Plainville Senior Citizens Center.
He leaves five cousins, Marion C. Malachowski of New Britain; Mary Bellamo of Middletown; Mr. and Mrs. Chut of Newington; Mr. and Mrs. William Chut of Bristol and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Chut of Kensington.
The funeral was held on May 21 at Bailey Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Mercy Church.
Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery.

RUTH M. FEENEY
Ruth M. Feeney, 89, formerly of Bristol, widow of Edwin J. Feeney, died on May 18, at the Plainville Health Care.
She was born on Aug. 14, 1913, in Hillsborough, N.H., the daughter of the late Carlton Warren and Mary (Whitney) Flanders.
She has resided in Bristol for several years and worked as a waitress before retiring.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Donna and Frank Dumond of Bristol, and Joan Diane Pringle of Pinellas Park, Fla.; a sister, Edith Clarke of Lisbon, N.H.; six grandchildren, David Feeney and his spouse, Anne, Kara Dumond, Dawn Canfield, Kelly Pringle, John Pringle Jr. and the Rev. Kathleen Danforth; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister.
Funeral services were held on May 21 at Funk Funeral Home, Bristol.
Burial followed in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol.

CATHERINE LEBEAU
Catherine (Grabowski) LeBeau, 75, of Plainville, wife of Donald LeBeau, died on May 19.
She was born in Newington on Nov. 24, 1927, the daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite (Peet) Grabowski.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church and a member of the Plainville Senior Citizens Center.
Besides her husband, she leaves a brother, Jay Grabowski of New Britain; four sisters, Mary Wojtusik and Helen Blake, both of New Britain, Marguerite Fortier of Bristol, and Betty Valk of Southington; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Grabowski Jr. and Henry Grabowski.
Funeral services were held on May 23 from Bailey Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Mercy Church.
Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery.

RICHARD FOURNIER
Richard Fournier, 69, died pm May 22 after a attle with cancer.
He was born in Wallagrass Aug 16, 1933, the son of the late Romeo and Marie Ange (Blanchette) Fournier.
He lived in Plainville for more than 35 years.
He was a member of the Bristol Fish and Game for 30 years.
He also served in the U.S. Army, 1954 to 1956.
He is survived by a son, Perry Fournier, and his wife, Marje, of Plainville; three daughters, Lynn Ely of Bristol, Cheryl Fournier of New Britain and Ann Russell and her husband, Carl, of Bristol; one sister, Rena Archer, and her husband, Elliot, of Corina, Maine; seven grandchildren, Dana, Lisa, Alan, Brian, Jonathon, Bryana and C.J.; seven great-grandchildren; and one niece, Mitch Soule.
Funeral services were held on May 27 from the Daigle and Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, Maine.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on May 28 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Soldier Pond.
Committal services followed in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, llagrass.
