Joyce Pauline Reynolds
July 23, 1943 - August 16, 2009
Joyce Pauline Gluth Reynolds, 66, of Danbury, died August 16, 2009 at Danbury Hospital.
She is survived by her devoted partner Ali Upton and her beloved dog Raggsie. She was the proud mother of eight children, including her son John Reynolds and wife Laura of Clinton; her daughter Sara Reynolds Parker and husband Timothy of West Hartford; her daughter Connie Reynolds Dietz and husband Bill of Luzerne, IA; her son Representative Tom Reynolds and wife Trina of Gales Ferry; and her daughter Jenii Reynolds Robinson and husband Dwight of Miramar, FL. She was the loving grandmother of twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Jean Gluth, her step-brother Joseph Gluth, and her daughter Kate Reynolds.
She was born and educated in Chicago, IL. She was fascinated by the field of medicine and graduated from the Radiological Technology School at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital and the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (CCMT) and was a nursing degree candidate at Western Connecticut State University.
She was always reinventing herself and enjoyed various careers in health and wellness. She was a member of the faculty of CCMT and owned Healing Touches, a massage therapy center in Hartford. Previously, she worked as an X-ray technician at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital and was co-owner of Women At Large, a fitness center for women.
She was a lover of nature, animals, driving adventures, crossword puzzles, and travel. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Funeral Information
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 21 at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 22 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 119 Junction Road, Brookfield at 11:00 a.m.

William Babyak
October 08, 1939 - October 03, 2009
William “BJ” Babyak, 69, of Danbury, devoted husband of Rosemarie (Leo) Babyak, died at Danbury Hospital on Saturday, October 3rd. He was born in Danbury on October 8, 1939, son of the late Metric and Vera (Kissko) Babyak.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving stateside with the United States Army. He went on to work as a tool and die maker for Barden Corp in Danbury where he was employed for more than 50 years.
Bill was an active parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church, serving as an usher for more than 40 years. He was also a member of the Catholic War Veterans, Housatonic Valley Antique Car Club, and enjoyed cruising in his ’38 Chevy to Marcus Dairy and the Sycamore.
In addition to his beloved wife of 42 years, Rosemarie, he will be sadly missed by his son, William M. Babyak and his wife, Sara; his daughter, Patricia Bailey and her husband, Eric; his cherished grandchildren, Shannon Bailey, Ryan and Kayley Babyak. He is also survived by his two sisters, Ella Mazzucco and her husband, Philip, and Carol Curesky and her husband, Joseph; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Richard; and his sister, Rita.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 9th at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday, October 8th between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm.

John S Demchick
September 02, 1944 - March 18, 2010
John S. Demchick, 65, of Hearthstone Drive, Brookfield, husband of the late Michele (Fabry) Demchick, died at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, March 18th. He was born in Pottsville, PA on September 2, 1944, son of the late John and Salomae (Shanoskie) Demchick.
John worked as a commercial real estate broker for Prudential for 16 years.
He will be sadly missed by his son, William Demchick; his daughter, Stacy Demchick; his sister Marie Chylack; three grandchildren and four nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 25th at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, on Thursday morning between the hours of 9:00 and 10:30am.
Giovanni Hernandez

Giovanni was born September 6, 1986 in Rio Piedras Puerto Rico, son of the late Felix Hernandez
Giovanni was a graduate of Danbury High School and worked for Target.
He is survived by his mother Sonia Maldonado; his brother Yoesy Maldonado both of Danbury; and his grandmother Gloria Maldonado.
He was predeased by his grandfather Marcelino Maldonado

Rebecca Ann Fisher
April 17, 1970 - March 18, 2010
Rebecca Ann (Thompson) Fisher, 39, of New Milford, passed away on Thursday, March 18th at New Milford Hospital. She was born on April 17, 1970, daughter of the late Adeline Hope Thompson.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Jessica Lynn Fisher; her grandmother, Lucille Thompson Fenton, both of New Milford; her son, Robert Thomas Fisher; and her ex-husband, Frank R. Fisher, both of Brookfield.
Funeral Information
The family invites friends and relatives to join them for a Celebration of Rebecca’s Life at the Cocordian Hall, 6 Crosby Street, Danbury, on Thursday March 25th between the hours of 5:00-8:00pm. A memorial buffet will be served.
Burial will be held privately in Chelsea, VT.

Mr. Juistino A. (Scotty) Ottavio
August 03, 1916 - March 16, 2010
Juistino Albert Ottavio, (Scotty), age 93, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, previously of Danbury, died at his home on March 16, 2010. Scotty, a nickname from childhood, was born on August 3, 1916 a son of the late Emilio and Vincenza Ottavio.
He was raised and educated in Danbury and graduated from Danbury Trade School in 1934 as a machinist. He taught machine shop at Henry Abbott Tech until he took a position with the Barden Corporation. He retired as factory plant manager in 1976 and moved to Tamarac, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
During his younger years, Scotty enjoyed bowling and a good game of industrial softball. He was an avid automobile enthusiast and that passion was handed down to his son, Eugene. They shared many memories of working on auto projects throughout the years.
Scotty lived his life to the Frank Sinatra song, “I Did It My Way”. He had a generous heart and was always there for the family. He will be missed by us all.
In 1937, Scotty married the late Madeline Pannozzo of Danbury; they were married for sixty-two years and raised two children.
He is survived by his son, Juistino E Ottavio and his wife, Linda (Orlando) of Danbury; granddaughter Lori Longo and her husband Ray; 2 great granddaughters Madeline and Hannah; a grandson Shawn Ottavio and his wife, Jessica; a great grandson Aucklan; granddaughter Meghan Dobbs and her husband, David, and great grandson, Jimmy.
He is also survived by his daughter V. Marie Millson of Poughkeepsie, NY, grandson Christopher Setaro and his wife, Carla of Danbury; a brother, Alfred Ottavio and his wife Elizabeth, of Danbury. He was predeceased by his brother Anthony Octavio.
Funeral Information
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery will follow. There are no calling hours.

Peggy Krack
April 05, 1949 - March 23, 2010
Margaret “Peggy” A. (Reid) Krack, 60, of Danbury, beloved wife of Peter H. Krack, died at Danbury Hospital on Tuesday, March 23rd. She was born in Queens, NY on April 5, 1949, daughter of the late Wallace and Gertrude (Loughman) Reid. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Church in Danbury.
Peggy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her home and family. She was a trained vocalist and enjoyed singing in her younger years.
In addition to her cherished husband of 37 years, Peter, she will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Bevin Ginty and her husband, Jeff of New Milford, Erin Krack and her fiancé, Jeremy Pessolano, of Danbury; and her grandson, Derrell Anderson. She is also survived by her three brothers, John Reid of Hawthorne, NJ, Thomas Reid of Waldwick, NJ, and James Reid of Platsburg, NY.

Loretta Mae Ferry
June 21, 1938 - March 25, 2010
Loretta Mae (Young) Ferry, of Bethel, died at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, March 25th. She was born on June 21, 1938 in Hartland, Maine, daughter of the late Sylvia (Allen) Carpinelli of ME and New Milford, and George H. Young of Concord, NH. Loretta was the wife of 41 years to R. Norman Ferry of Danbury, and was the dear friend and companion of William A. O’Rourke.
She attended Western Connecticut State University; Maine Central Institute (Prep school), and graduated from New Milford High School, class of 1956. She was a committee member of Cub Scout Pack 23, and Troop 23 for ten years. She was a member of the Shelter Rock PTA, Broadview PTA, and Danbury High School PTA.
Loretta worked for GE Capital VFS, retiring in 2001 after ten years of employment. Prior to that she worked for Unimation from 1977 – 1987; and worked briefly for Mosler. She was a member of AARP #1847, and was active in the Widow/Widowers Club at the Senior Center in Danbury.
She enjoyed crocheting and made many pillows and blankets for her loved ones.
She will be sadly missed by her three sons, Ronald C. Ferry, with whom she made her home, Brian A. Ferry and his wife, Gilmara of Danbury, and Russell J. Ferry and his wife, Rebekah of Danbury; her eight grandchildren, Brian Jr., Brett, Brad, Brooke, Kristi Ann, Amanda Lyn, Karine and Brandon; as well as one great grandchild.

A Graveside Service will be held at Central Cemetery in Brookfield on Wednesday, March 31st at 10:30am.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, March 30th between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00pm.
Marie E. Smith
January 19, 1962 - March 17, 2010
Marie Etta Smith age 48 passed away unexpectedly at home in Danbury on March 17, 2010. Marie was born on January 19, 1962 in Danbury, daughter of LeRoy T. and Helen Fay (Anderson) Smith. Marie was predeceased by her mother and her sister Debra Ann Cooke. She is survived by her remaining siblings and their spouses: Kathy and Michael Maillet, Jody and Michael Rieve, Ted M. and Terri Smith, Tod and Oh Smith. Marie loved her nieces and nephews dearly as well as the joyful times she spent with them, Matt, Kim, Emily, Allison Rieve and Lindsey Maillet.
She is also survived by her extended family, stepmother, Elizabeth F. Smith and her children, Leon Doerr, Diane Lechner, Lisa and Gary Best, Gloria and Mark Johanning, Lucienne and Matthew McKinney and their children, Adriane, Michael, Kellie, Grayson, Finn, Connor and Evan.
She will also be missed by her close and caring friends.
Marie graduated from Bethel High School in 1979. She was introduced to the Automotive Industry through the family owned Auto Body Shop. She continued to work throughout her life for auto related businesses locally and in Florida.

Funeral Service will be held in The Cornell Memorial Home 247 White Street, Danbury on Thursday March 25, 2010 at 7:30pm. Calling hours begin at 6:00pm prior to the service. Cremation services will take place at the convenience of the family.
