Emily Christine Ewert
January 27, 1982 - April 16, 2006
Emily Christine Ewert, 24, of High Rise Road, Danbury, cherished daughter of Albert C. and Mary (Rumpel) Ewert of Danbury, died unexpectedly, as the result of an automobile accident, on Sunday, April 16th. She was born in Santa Monica, CA. on January 27, 1982 and was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 2000.
Emily was a student at Western Connecticut State University, majoring in English and Professional Writing. She would have graduated in May. She worked as a server at the Inn at Newtown. After graduation, she intended to volunteer with the Peace Corps before beginning a career.
Emily was well loved by many for her cheerful disposition and generous smile. She enjoyed drawing, gardening, and the company of her friends. She was a creative spirit; talented writer and her passion showed through her work.
Emily’s love of life extends beyond her days on earth through the lives of the people who will benefit from her gift of organ donation.
In addition to her parents, Albert and Mary, she is survived by her two brothers, Albert C. Ewert IV., and William F. Ewert, her two sisters, Anne C. Ewert and C. Elise Ewert, all of Danbury; her paternal grandmother, Wilma R. Ewert of Watch Hill, RI.; her maternal grandfather, William F. Rumpel of Littleton, CO; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Marjorie (Maurer) Rumpel and her paternal grandfather, Albert C. Ewert, Jr.
Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Brookfield, on Saturday, April 22nd at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Prince of Peace Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday between the hours of 12:00pm and 12:45pm.
Friends are invited to join the family in wearing spring colors to celebrate Emily’s passion for life.

Patricia Helen Parisi
November 14, 1937 - June 08, 2006
Patricia Helen (O’Connor) Parisi, 68, of Pocono Road, Brookfield, wife of the late Kenneth Parisi, died at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, June 8th. She was born in the Bronx, NY on November 14, 1937, daughter of the late Lester and Elizabeth (Wagner) O’Connor. She was a graduate of Commerce High School in Yonkers.
Mrs. Parisi was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Brookfield.
She loved to read and spend time with her family. She was well known and made many friends though her active membership at Danbury Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation.
She enjoyed her winters, in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, visiting her family and serving as Vice President of the Villa Del Mar Condo Association.
She will be remembered for her enthusiasm for life, always on the go, socializing or helping someone in need.
She is survived by her son, John Lionato and his wife, Tania of Half Moon Bay, CA.; her daughter, Diane MacGregor and her husband, Michael of Cape Coral, FL; and her granddaughters, Mariella and Grace Lionato. She is also survived by her two sisters, Nancy Chiudina of Southbury and Joan McNamara of Katonah, NY; her friend and companion, Frank Caron of Purdys, NY.; as well as many nieces, nephews; and countless friends whose lives she touched.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Kenneth T. Parisi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 12th at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, June 11th between the hours of 4 and 8pm.

Marc Mitchell
May 23, 1967 - June 06, 2006
Marc Mitchell, 39, of Danbury, passed away suddenly on June 6th at the Hartman Regional Medical Center in Marion, IL.
Marc was born May 23, 1967, in Norwalk, CT, where he attended school and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1985, before moving to Danbury.
He continued his education at Porter & Chester Institute for Computer Aided Drafting and Design and had worked for Trident Inc, in Brookfield, CT for the last 14 years, before relocating to Marion, IL at the end of May.
Marc was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril & Joycelyn Mitchell, and survived by a brother and sister in law, James & Beth Mitchell, 2 sisters, Kristal and Kendra Mitchell, a nephew, Seth Mitchell, 2 nieces, Alaina Lyons & Lorin Mitchell, all of Danbury, and several aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.

Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street in Danbury, on Tuesday, June 13th, at 11:00am. All are welcome. The burial will be private at the request of the family.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday morning between the hours of 9:30 and 11:00am.
Thomas Visser
January 26, 1935 - June 09, 2006
Thomas M. Visser, of Bethel, husband of Joy (Clarke) Visser, died on Friday, June 9th at Danbury Hospital, after a lengthy illness. He was born in, Kendal, Java Indonesia on January 26, 1935, son of the late Julius Josef Maria Visser and Maria Christina Jacqueline Jansen-Visser.
Thom was born and raised in Indonesia to Dutch parents. His family was interned as prisoners of war for several years, while the country was under Japanese occupation during WWII. After surviving the camps he returned to the Netherland as a young teenager and completed his schooling. Thom came to the United States as a young adult. He was drafted and served in the Korean War. Before retiring he worked at Pamby’s Motors in Ridgefield.
He will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Diana Gregory and her husband, Andrew of North Carolina, and Sandra Visser-Sampson and her husband Eric of New Milford; his son, Alan Visser of Brookfield; and his eight grandchildren, Gianna, Shayla, Alexa, Brittany, Reyna, Ryan, Mason and Karissa. He is also survived by his sisters, Lucie Visser, Gemma Van Der Griend, Heppie Van Dijk, Leonore Van Steen-Visser, Stance Jacobs-Visser, and his brother, Sjoerd Visser, of the Netherlands.

John A. Hroziencik
August 30, 1922 - June 09, 2006
John A. Hroziencik, 83, of Brookfield, devoted husband of Florence (Kramer) Hroziencik, died at Danbury Hospital on Friday, June 9th. He was born in Greenwich on August 30, 1922, son of the late Andrew and Mary (Gregor) Hroziencik. He received a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Bridgeport.
John was a Veteran of World War II, serving as an Aviation Radioman Second Class, V6 with the United States Navy on a PBY. He was a recipient of the Asiatic Pacific Theater Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Medal, Victory Medal, and a Combat Aircrew Insignia.
He was an Industrial Engineer for Perkin Elmer, retiring in 1987, after 25 years of employment. He was honored to be one of the engineers involved with the Hubble Space Telescope.
John was a charter member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brookfield. He served as president of the 60 Plussers at Prince of Peace. He also served as past president of the Danbury Toastmasters Club and was active in the Brookfield Senior Center. He and his wife enjoyed square dancing and were members of the Trail Blazers Square Dance Club in Brookfield and later the Mad Hatters Square Dance Club in Danbury. The two were honored by being selected to square dance on a float at the Pasadena Rose Bowl Parade in 1981.
John loved nature and was very happy tending to his garden and feeding wild birds. He had a positive attitude that was expressed in all his activities. He loved life, motor boating, and traveling.
In addition to his beloved wife of 57 years, Florence, he will be sadly missed by his two sons, John A. Hroziencik of San Diego, Ca., and George A. Hroziencik of Highland Park, Il.; his daughter, Sandra Thompson and her husband Robert of Austin, Tx.; and his granddaughter Katie Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his two brothers, Rudolph and Walter Hroziencik; and his sister, Wilma Hardacre.

Funeral Services will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Brookfield on Wednesday, June 14th at 11:00am. Burial in Prince of Peace Cemetery will follow.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Tuesday, between the hours of 4 and 7pm.

Leonard J. Cossuto
February 17, 1920 - October 08, 2003
Leonard J. “Lenny” Cossuto, of Junction Road, Brookfield, devoted husband of Joyce (Pooley) Cossuto, died on Wednesday, October 8th at The Kent, at the age of 83. He was born in Norwalk on February 17, 1920, son of the late Joseph and Restituta (Mirigliola) Cossuto.
Lenny was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army in England, France and Belgium. He was a recipient of the European African Mid-Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon. He owned and operated Joseph, Cossuto and Son, a topsoil supplier, for forty years. He was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury.
Lenny was a dedicated husband and father who cherished time spent with his wife and children. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, Joyce; three loving sons, Allen and his wife, Joan of New Milford, Philip and his wife, Cindy, of Bridgewater, Joseph and his wife, Diane, also of Bridgewater; and daughter, Catherine Zucca and her husband Richard, of Bridgewater. He will also be missed by six grandchildren, Randal, Liana, Vincent, Jared, Jennifer and Alison; a sister, Julia Bitar of Maine, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 11th, 11:30 am at St. Gregory the Great Church. Cremation and Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday, October 9th, between the hours of 5 and 8 pm, and on Friday, October 10th between the hours of 6 and 9 pm.
Thomas Robert Dardis
November 22, 1940 - May 03, 2004
Thomas R. Dardis, 63, of Whisconier Village, Brookfield, devoted husband of Kathleen (Schmaling) Dardis, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 3rd. He was born in Bridgeport, on November 22, 1940, son of the late Thomas and Mary (Brown) Dardis. He was a graduate of Henry Abbott Technical School, class of 1958.
Tom was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Mediterranean on the USS Newport News out of Virginia. He was a Master Carpenter for Merritt Contractors in Bridgeport and was a member of the Local #210 Carpentry Union in Norwalk.
Tom loved boating, was a member and served on the Board of Governors for the Fayerweather Yacht Club in Bridgeport; he was also a member of the Mad Hatters Barbershop Quartette, S.P.B.S.Q.S.N. He was a private pilot, enjoyed motorcycling and vacationing at his home on Petit Manan Point, Steuben, ME.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Kathleen; his son, Thomas S. Dardis and his wife, Stacie of Deerfield Beach, Fla; his four daughters, Regina Marie Dardis and Sheila Anne Dardis, both of Waterbury, Renee Lasky and her husband, Brian of New Milford, Mary Agnes Cook and her husband, Craig of North Kingstown, RI.; his three cherished grandchildren, Kayla Lasky, Hannah and Zachary Cook. He is also survived by his brother, Peter F. Dardis and his wife, Roseanne of Bethel; two sisters, Margaret Kovacs and her husband, James of Kent, and Kathleen Noe and her husband, Robert of Kennebunkport, ME.; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 8th, 10:00am, at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Interment of cremains will take place at the convenience of the family, in the family plot at All Souls by the Sea on Petit Manan, ME.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 7th at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, between the hours of 4 and 8pm.
