Josephine Greco
CROMWELL - Josephine Greco, 94, of 37 West St., Cromwell and Old Lyme, wife of the late Angelo Greco died Wednesday at the Ridgewood Health Care Center, Cromwell.
She was born March 27, 1904, in Melilli, Sicily, Italy, daughter of the late Sebastian and Concettina (Tosto) Spada and had been a resident of Cromwell the past 63 years.
She was a member of St. John's Church in Cromwell, the American Legion Ladies Auxillary and a former member of St. John's Church Ladies Guild.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Salvatore and Ann Greco of Wallingford, and Angelo and Linda Greco of Kensington; three brothers, Anthony Spada of Middletown, Emil and Aurel Spaa both of Cromwell; two sisters, Helen Pitruzzello and Adelaide Gilletti both of Middletown; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a granddaughter Sally Ann Greco.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 22, at 9 a.m. From the D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. John's Church, Cromwell. Burial will be in the family plot in St. John's Cemetery, Middletown.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, Feb. 21, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Vincent O. Harrington
WALLINGFORD - Vincent O. Harrington, 86, of Church St., Yalesville section of Wallingford, died Saturday Feb. 13, 1999, in the Miller Memorial Community, in Meriden.
He was the husband of the late Edith E. Fay Harrington.
Born in Winter Harbor, Maine, Nov. 17, 1912, son of the late Foster P. and Eva Wescott Harrington, he was a longtime Yalesville resident.
He had attended the Yalesville United Methodist Church. He had been employed by the Wallingford Board of Education as the head custodian for the Dag Hammarskjold Middle School for many years until his retirement. He had previously been employed by the International Silver Co., the Hall Bros. Hatchery, and the Yalesville and Wallingford Public Libraries.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Mr. Harrington is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Susan H. and John J. Rush; his son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Dorothy K. Harrington, all of Meriden; his grandchildren, Pamela R. and Joseph R. Guest, of Meriden, Brendan T. and Kristen G. Rush, of Wallingford, Sean D. Rush and Timothy F. Malin, of Cromwell; two sisters, Anne Larrabee, of Ashland, Ky., and Grace Gerrish, of Winter Harbor, Maine, and one great-granddaughter; Megan E. Guest, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Marguerite Parker and Bernice Matthews; and three brothers; Frank Harrington, Spencer Harrington, and Arthur Harrington.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service Saturday, Feb 20th, at 11a.m. in the Yalesville United Methodist Church, 8 New Place St., Yalesville.
Interment will be private in the Memoriam Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be sent to Yalesville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund at the above address, or to the Oasis Program, 883 Paddock Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.

Julia Karsmarski
MERIDEN - Julia Karsmarski, 89, formally of Paddock Ave., Meriden, wife of the late Joseph Karsmarski died Wednesday Feb. 17, 1999, at the Meriden Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She leaves a daughter and son-in-law; Judy and Richard Peretti of Meriden; and a son, David Karsmarski of Middletown; three granddaughters, Anne Peretti, Julie and Carrie Karsmarski; a sister, Helen Custy of Meriden; and a sister-in-law, Isabelle Karsmarski of Meriden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers; Rev. William Topor former pastor of St. Stanislaus Church and Stanley Topor, two sister; Anna Billings and Sophie Topor.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
The Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St. Meriden are in charge of the arrangements.

Margaret A. Platt
MERIDEN - Margaret A. Steeves Platt, 83, of 60 Hanover St., Meriden, for over 14 years before moving to the Curtis Home 18 months ago, passed away Sunday evening Feb. 14, 1999, at the facility. She was the widow of Edward A. Platt.
She was born in Brewer, Maine on March 13, 1915, and was the daughter of the late Warren K. and Pearl H. Colpetts Steeves.
Mrs. Platt was a long time employee of the Napier Co. of Meriden before retirement.
She leaves sons; Col. A.E. Platt (Ret) of Durham, Ted Platt of Wallingford, Robert Platt of Longview, Wa and Greg Platt of Shannock, R.I.; a daughter, Margie Platt of Charlemont, Mass.; sisters, Helen Killam of Riverview, New Brunswick, Canada,Emily Steeves of Petticoduc, New Brunswick, and Winnifred Forsyth of Dartmouth, Novia Scotia, a brother; Wallace Steeves of Petticoduc, New Brunswick, Canada; also survived by 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by brothers; Ivan, Raymond and Warren Steeves.
Arrangements are in the direction of the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave, North Haven, Conn.

Philip H. Stanley
ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Philip H. Stanley, 86, of 2913 Mauchchunck Road, formerly of Meriden died Wednesday, Feb. 17,1999, at the Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Fla.
He was the husband of Victoria Malchiodi Stanley.
He was born in Meriden, Dec. 2, 1912, a son to the late Henry and Esther Reilly Stanley.
He was a graduate of Mount Saint Mary's College in Emmitsburg, MD, class of 1937 & was inducted into the basketball hall of fame at the College.
Until his retirement, he was a sales engineer at the Miller Co. in Meriden.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, John Stanley, Philip R. Stanley, Robert Stanley and William Stanley, all of Allentown; a brother, Paul Stanley of Wallingford; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will leave the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford, on Monday, Feb. 22, at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at the Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 N. Colony Road, Wallingford.
Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, Feb. 22, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
If friends so desire, gifts in his name may be made to Mount Saint Mary's College, 16300 Old Emmitsburg Road, Emmitsburg, MD, 21727.

Jill M. Sundberg
STOWE, Vt. - Jill Margaret Sundberg, 38, died on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, of natural causes in her sleep.
Born in Jupiter Florida on Nov. 26, 1960, she was the daughter of Jack Sundberg and Maryalice (Ward) Sundberg.
Prior to her death she resided in Aspen, Colo., for five years, where she worked as a pre-school teacher and ski instructor.
She then relocated to Stowe to be closer to her family.
She was a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University with a bachelor's degree in education.
She enjoyed her work with children and will always be remembered for her giving spirit.
Besides her parents, she is survived by; two sisters and brothers-in-law; Sandra Sundberg Gonzalez and Ruben Gonzalez of Tolland, Conn., Julie Sundberg McDermott and Dan McDermott of Franklin, Mass.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack Kathleen (Scully) Sundberg of Tolland, Scott and Kathi (Biestek) Sundberg of Wallingford, Conn., Steven Sundberg of Milldale, Conn. She is also survived by six nieces and nine nephews, two of which are god-children, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Miss Sundberg was predeceased by her grandparents, Alice Lynch Ward, Karl Bernard and Karin Sundberg, and by her two aunts; Margaret (Ward) Walsh and Sonja Sundberg Wright.
The funeral will be held on Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, at 10 a.m. in St Joseph Church.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, Feb. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

Donald F. Brielmann
HARTFORD - Donald F. Brielmann, 64, died on Sunday, April 25, 1999, at home after a brief illness.
Born in Meriden on Sept. 14, 1934, he was the son of the late Francis and Tillie Petroske Brielman.
He graduated from Meriden schools.
Mr. Brielmann was employed by New Departure-Hyatt Division of General Motors, retiring nine years ago.
He had served with the U.S. Army during peacetime.
He was a parishioner of St. Rose Church. He was a member of the Hartford Liederkranz Club, the Hartford Saengerbund Club, Meriden Turners, Elks-Hartford Lodge #19, V.F.W. Post #254, the Austrian-Hungarian Club and "Donau".
He is survived by two close friends, Ernest Walter of Hartford, and Albert Efantis of Hartford; one aunt, Veronica Gostyla of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9;30 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St. and at 10 a.m. in St. Rose Church.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Canine Control Unit, 131 Cedar St., Newington, CT 06111.

Bruce Lindsay
WALLINGFORD - Bruce Lindsay, 85, of 78 Wrinn St., died Saturday at the Regency House in Wallingford.
He was the husband of Gertrude (Wrinn) Lindsay for 58 years.
Born April 5, 1914, in Roscoe, N.Y., son of the late John and Anna (Deller) Lindsay.
He was raised in Southington. He was a graduate of Lewis High School and Morse College.
He played semi-pro baseball in Connecticut and played in baseball leagues in Southington.
Mr. Lindsay had been employed as Advertising Production Manager of Insilco before retiring in 1979.
He was active in Wallingford Little League as coach, manager and publicity director in the 1950s and 1960s.
He was a duck-pin bowler for many years, out of Cheshire Lanes.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Karen Lindsay of Southington, Dana and Lynn Lindsay of Alabama and Thomas and Sue Lindsay of Florida; his grandchildren, Michele, Troy, Bruce J., Victoria, Marryt and Josh, Jennifer, Jason, Pamela, Stacy and Heather; and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Lindsay, Samantha and Shayla.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington.
Friends may call Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Hartford Hospital.

Charles M. Wujcik
MERIDEN - Charles Michael Wujcik, 86, of 97 Dana Lane, South Meriden, died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at his home.
He was the husband of Anne (Roback) Wujcik.
Mr. Wujcik was born Sept. 29, 1912, in Waterbury, son of the late Kazimierz and Anastasia (Kosmoski) Wujcik.
He resided in Waterbury for 63 years before moving to South Meriden 26 years ago.
Mr. Wujcik was employed at Waterbury Farrell Foundry-Division of Textron for over 50 years, retiring in 1974.
Besides his wife of South Meriden, he leaves three sons, Charles Matthew Wujcik of Middlebury, Donald Wujcik of Thomaston and Ronald Wujcik of Vermont; a sister, Mrs. Christine Malon of Glastonbury; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Maiorano Funeral Home, Inc., 95 Willow St., Waterbury.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial Mass will be held at the convenience of the family.
