Pearl M. Factor
DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - Pearl M. Factor, 71, of 221 Saxony E. Kings Point, formerly of 65 Bayberry Drive, Wallingford, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at the Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, Fla. She was the wife of the late Martin H. Factor.
She was born in the Bronx, N.Y., Aug. 23, 1927, daughter of the late Joseph and Sadie Graber Mezebish. She was a member of Beth Israel Synagogue in Wallingford.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Susan) Burt of Wallingford and Mrs. Yehuda (Barbara) Falk of Jerusalem; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Carol) Blackman of Fairfield; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Maxine M. Raphael.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday Feb. 21, at 1 p.m. at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at Beth Israel Cemetery, Wallingford.
A period of mourning will be held on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at the home of Susan Burt, 14 South Side Drive, Wallingford.
If friends so, desire gifts in her memory may be made to Beth Israel Synagogue, 22 N. Orchard St., Wallingford, CT 06492.

Angelo H. Fontanella
MERIDEN - Angelo H. Fontanella, 94, of 21 David Drive, husband of the late Helen (Guzowski) Fontanella, died on Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at Meriden Center after a brief illness. Born in Di Forno di Zoldo, Italy, on Dec. 6, 1904, he was the son of the late Joseph and Antonia (Zampoli) Fontanella. He attended Meriden schools and lived here for all of his life. Mr. Fontanella was employed by Connecticut Telephone & Electric Co. in Meriden, and he was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church.
Mr. Fontanella is survived by two sisters, Carmella Busa and Levia Guzowski, both of Meriden; one brother, Richard Fontanella of Meriden (director of the Kiwanis Hi-Liters); and by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Alice Schiazetti, and one brother, William Fontanella.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Saturday (TODAY), Feb 20, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden.

Josephine Greco
CROMWELL - Josephine Greco, 94, of 37 West St., Cromwell, and Old Lyme, wife of the late Angelo Greco, died Wednesday at the Ridgeview Health Care Center, Cromwell.
She was born March 27, 1904, in Melilli, Sicily, daughter of the late Sebastian and Concettina (Tosto) Spada, and had been a resident of Cromwell the past 63 years. She was a member of St. John's Church in Cromwell and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and a former member of St. John's Church Ladies Guild.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Salvatore and Ann Greco of Wallingford, and Angelo and Linda Greco of Kensington; three brothers, Anthony Spada of Middletown, Emil and Aurel Spada, both of Cromwell; two sisters, Helen Pitruzzello and Adelaide Gilletti, both of Middletown; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a granddaughter, Sally Ann Greco.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 22, at 9 a.m. from the D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. John's Church, Cromwell. Burial will be in the family plot in St. John's Cemetery, Middletown. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, Feb. 21, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Vincent O. Harrington
WALLINGFORD - Vincent O. Harrington, 86, of Church Street, Yalesville section, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999, in the Miller Memorial Community, in Meriden. He was the husband of the late Edith E. Fay Harrington.
Born in Winter Harbor, Maine, Nov. 17, 1912, son of the late Foster P. and Eva Wescott Harrington, he was a longtime Yalesville resident. He had attended the Yalesville United Methodist Church. He had been employed by the Wallingford Board of Education as the head custodian for the Dag Hammarskjold Middle School for many years until his retirement. He had previously been employed by the International Silver Co., the Hall Bros. Hatchery, and the Yalesville and Wallingford public libraries. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Mr. Harrington is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Susan H. and John J. Rush, and his son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Dorothy K. Harrington, all of Meriden; his grandchildren, Pamela R. and Joseph R. Guest of Meriden, Brendan T. and Kristen G. Rush, of Wallingford, Sean D. Rush and Timothy F. Malin, of Cromwell; two sisters, Anne Larrabee of Ashland, Ky., and Grace Gerrish of Winter Harbor, Maine; one brother; Walter Harrington of Winter Harbor, Maine; and one great-granddaughter, Megan E. Guest; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Marguerite Parker and Bernice Matthews; and three brothers; Frank Harrington, Spencer Harrington and Arthur Harrington.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service Saturday, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m. in the Yalesville United Methodist Church, 8 New Place St., Yalesville. Interment will be private in the In Memoriam Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be sent to Yalesville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund at the above address, or to the Oasis Program, 883 Paddock Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.

Chester J. Kosinski
MERIDEN - Chester J. Kosinski, 78, of 42 Peacock Drive, husband of 47 years to Anna (Sczurek) Kosinski, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999.
He was born March 2, 1920, in Meriden, and was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Pietrewicz) Kosinski. Mr. Kosinski was a lifelong resident of Meriden and was educated in local schools. He was the owner and operator of Chet's Luncheonette in Wallingford for 21 years and retired from the Meriden Board of Education in 1995. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Chet was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church and was a longtime collector for the noon Mass. He was a former treasurer of the Polish Knights of America and a former member of the White Eagles. Chet was a semipro baseball player with local teams and an avid fisherman.
Besides his wife, Anna, he leaves two brothers, Edward J. of Meriden and Peter Sr. of Guilford; two sisters, Hedwig K. Papallo and Ann Smith, both of Meriden; two granddaughters, Laurel Franke and Jessica Carrero, both of Meriden; and five great-grandchildren, C.J., Kayla, Joey, Josh and Melissa. He was predeceased by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Barbara Bray; a brother, Joseph; and two grandsons, John and Chet Bray.
His funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, in St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian burial. The committal service will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, on Monday, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

Edmond T. Morawsky Sr.
SOUTHINGTON - Edmond T. Morawsky Sr., 83, of 84 Pleasant St., died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999. He was the husband of Jeanette (Kurban) Morawsky.
Born Sept. 1, 1915, in Southington, son of the late John P. and Josephine (Tanski) Murawski. He retired six years ago from the U.S. Postal Service, where he had been employed for 39 years. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army, serving in World War II with the Battery C432 Anti-Aircraft Automatic Weapons Battalion. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. Mr. Morawsky was a life member of the American Legion Kiltonic Post 72, a member of the Calendar House, and was involved with coaching Northern Little and Senior League baseball. He had also bowled in the Southington Merchant Bowling League for many years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Edmond T. Morawsky Jr., and a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Edward Curry, all of Southington; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Walter, Henry and John Murawski, and a sister, Genevieve Luty.
The funeral will be held on Monday, Feb. 22, at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., to Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Sunday, Feb. 21, from 2 to 6 p.m.

John J. O'Brien
WALLINGFORD - John J. (Jack) O'Brien 85, husband of Elizabeth (Betty) O'Brien, of 12 Jeffery Drive, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at home.
He was born in Hamden on Jan. 24, 1914, a son of the late Thomas C. and Edna O'Brien. He was a captain in the U.S. Army, having served in Australia and New Guinea during World War II. Prior to his retirement he worked for Prentice-Hall of Englewood, N.J.
In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by three sons, Barry O'Brien of Durham, Robert O'Brien of Suffield, and David O'Brien of Amston; two daughters; Nancy Dennen of Simsbury and Kathleen Dinnie of London, England; a brother, Thomas O'Brien of Garden City, N.Y.; and 15 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Kevin Henry O'Brien.
The funeral will leave the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford, Monday, Feb. 22, at 8:15 a.m., to the Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 N. Colony St., Wallingford, for a Mass of Christian burial at 9 a.m. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery, Wallingford. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, Feb. 21, from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to the Daily Activities for Independence, 284 Washington St., Wallingford, CT 06492.

Barbara M. Sittnick
WALLINGFORD - Barbara Marie Sittnick, 58, beloved daughter of Philip A. Sittnick Sr. and the late Rose Ann Notar Sittnick, and sister of Patricia Ann Sittnick, of Prince Street, Wallingford, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at their home.
Barbara was born in New Haven, May 25, 1940, was a lifelong Wallingford resident. From 1948 until 1967, she attended the Residential School for Exceptional Children, Wharton Memorial, founded by a residuary estate of the late William J. Wharton, in Port Jefferson, Long Island, N.Y. The school, now known as Maryhaven School, was founded in 1930 under the auspices of the Daughters of Wisdom, a religious community founded by St. Louis Marie de Montfort, and under the tutelage of the Most Rev. Walter P. Kellenberg, D.D., bishop of the Diocese of Rockville Center. She was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church, Wallingford, also of the Infant Jesus Chapel of St. Charles Hospital, Port Jefferson, where she received the sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation.
Besides her father and sister, she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Philip A. Sittnick Jr. and Jane Stefanski Sittnick of Plum Island, Mass.; her nephew, Jeremy Neil Sittnick of Plum Island; her aunts, Anna Brunetti and Betty Notar of Wallingford, Gladys Sittnick of Yalesville, and Corris Sittnick of Rocky Hill; her uncle, John Notar of Wallingford; and several cousins in Connecticut, Florida and New Jersey. She was predeceased by her aunts, Helen Gendron, Margaret Blatchley and Gertrude LaCourciere; her uncles, Robert Sittnick, Alfred Sittnick, Charles Sittnick and Norman Gendron; and her grandparents, Bertha and August Sittnick, and Anna Notar.
Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Wallingford, Sunday, Feb. 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 22, at 12:15 p.m. from the Wallingford Funeral Home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. Gifts in her memory may be sent to either the Maryhaven Center of Hope, c/o the Daughters of Wisdom, 385 South Ocean Ave., Islip, NY 11751-4620; Holy Trinity School, 11 N. Whittlesey Ave., Wallingford, CT 06492; or Connecticut Hospice, 8 Research Parkway, Wallingford, CT 06492.

Jean Branch
CHESHIRE - Jean Thomas Novak Branch, 68, wife of William A. Branch, Jr., died on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at St. Mary Hospital in Waterbury after a brief illness. Born in Quincy, Mass., on March 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Harold P. and Claire (Cadotte) Thomas. She lived in Meriden and was a graduate of St. Joseph School and of Meriden High School, class of 1948. She had since moved to Cheshire, residing there for over 30 years. She was parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Meriden.
Besides her husband, William, Mrs. Branch is survived by one daughter and a son-in-law, Paula Novak and her husband, Lawrence Loucka of New Britain; one son and daughter-in-law, Edward B. Novak Jr. and Carol O. Novak of Cheshire; five grandchildren, Gretchen Loucka of Lenox, Mass., Claire Loucka of New Britain, and Cassie, Sarah and Karen Novak of Cheshire; two stepchildren, Joanne Cundy of Seattle, Ore., and Barbara Audette of Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Mrs. Branch was predeceased by her first husband, Edward B. Novak Sr. and by a brother, Jack Thomas.
The funeral will be held on Saturday Feb. 20, at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, and at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 22 Goodwill Ave., Meriden. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meriden. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday (TODAY) from 4 to 8p.m. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 540 Oregon Road, Meriden, CT 06451.
