Leola Skinner
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John Vianney Church for Leola Charman Skinner, 91, of 276 Richmond Ave., who died May 11, 2003. She was the widow of Kenneth C. Skinner.
She leaves a son, Kenneth C. Skinner Jr. of NY; three grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was predeceased by a brother, Eugene R. Charman.
Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The Keenan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Joseph Manganella, Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Louis Church for Joseph Manganella Sr., 84, of Eagle Place, who died May 14, 2003. He was the widower of Angela Inglese Manganella. He was retired from the maintenance department of Armstrong Rubber Co.
He leaves a son, Joseph Manganella, Jr. of West Haven; a sister, Frances Luich of East Haven; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Evelyn Lassen
The Beecher & Bennett-Seth Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Evelyn Simmons Lassen, 83, of Third Avenue, who died July 20, 2003. She was the widow of Howard L. Lassen, Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Joan Duffy of West Haven and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Eleanor Coe, Marjorie Trace, and Marion Dillman.
Helen Lindsay
The Oak Grove Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements for Helen L. Lindsay, 74, of West Haven, who died July 20, 2003. She was the widow of James B. Lindsay.
She is survived by sons, Todd Lindsay of MA, J. Daniel Lindsay of East Haven; a sister, Barbara Reed of TX; a brother, John Leslie of Guilford. She was predeceased by daughters Joyce Lindsay and Darcy Lindsay; and a brother, Sidney Leslie.
She was a foster parent to over 30 children and was awarded the Foster Parent of the Year by the state of CT in 1969. All services were private.

Pearl Biagioli
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul’s Church for Pearl Biagioli, 81, of 68 Lakeview Ave., who died July 24, 2003. She was the wife of Adam Biagioli.
She is survived by sons, Michael J. Biagioli of Hamden, and Richard A. Biagioli of NJ; and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Lembo. Interment was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Akeem McBride
The Curvin K. Council Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Akeem Ja-Mar McBride, 24, of Coleman St., who died July 20, 2003. He was the son of Bonita Yarboro of New Haven.
He is survived by a son, Khalil McBride; a daughter, Makayla McBride; a brother, Emmanuel Smith; a sister, Victoria Smith; and his companion, Candace Johnson. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mary Forgione
The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Mary Zuccarelli Forgione, 88, of West Haven, who died July 25, 2003. She was the widow of Ralph Forgione.
She is survived by a brother, John Zuccarelli. She was predeceased by a son, Robert Forgione; brothers Michael and Joseph Zuccarelli; and sisters, Edith LaValle and Evelyn Marchitto.

He is survived by a daughter, Denise M. Santa Barbara; sisters, Madeline Konesky, Millie Signore, and Theresa Mulvey; a brother, Joseph Santa Barbara; and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by several sisters and brothers. He was the former owner of West Haven Tool & Manufacturing. Burial was in St. Agnes Cemetery.

John Hickey
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John Vianney Church for John P. "Jack" Hickey, 71, of Bailey Drive, who died Aug. 10, 2003. He was the husband of Patricia Ann O’Brien Hickey.
He is survived by daughters, Deborah Hutchinson of West Haven, Karin Rinaldi of FL, Bonnie Hutchinson of West Haven, Kimberly Clancy of FL and Francine Charlebois of FL; sons, John Zuzick of MA and John Hickey of FL; sisters, Mary and Margaret Hickey of FL; and fourteen grandchildren. He was a U.S. Marine who served in the Korean War and a member of the U.S. Army Reserves. Burial was private.

Mary Kardasz
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Louis Church for Mary Kardasz of Woodvale Road, who died Aug. 10, 2003. She was the widow of Paul E. Kardasz.
She is survived by a son, Paul Kardasz; four grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Burial was private. The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Alice Fricke

She is survived by sons, William Fricke of SC, and Stephen Fricke of Milford; sisters, Dorothy Sliby of West Haven, Elizabeth Brown of New Haven and Leta Larsen of OR; brothers, Charles and William Downey, both of CA; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister. Interment was in Beaverdale Memorial Park.

Stephen Dymarick

of Middletown for Stephen Dymarick, 62, of Third Ave., who died Aug. 16, 2003. He was the husband of Yolonda Dymarick.
He is survived by sisters, Mary Slocum, Olive Iamiee; brothers, William, David and George Alan Dymarick; and his grandson, William Dymarick.

Frank James
The Cody-White Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Frank James, 44, of Clifton St., who died Aug. 17, 2003. He was the husband of Lori James and the son of Raymond James, Sr. of Milford.
He is also survived by sisters, Cheryland Linda James of Milford; a brother, Raymond James Jr. of Fl; a stepsister, Roxana Avila of Milford and his mother-in-law, Charlene Morton of West Haven. He was predeceased by his mother, Virginia Farren James. He was a senior aircraft rigger for Sikorsky Aircraft. Burial was private.
May Stiles
The Keenan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for May E. Stiles, of Albion Ave., who died Aug. 17, 2003. She was the widow of Hobart N. Stiles.
She is survived by nephews, Bruce Martin of FL and David Martin of TX. She had been employed with the West Haven Public Library for over 50 years. She was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 1711.
Burial was in Old Center Cemetery
