Anna Twing
WALLINGFORD - Anna (Ann) Twing, former well loved director of St. Paul's Nursery School in Wallingford, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at home. Mrs. Twing , 96, of 32 Curtis Ave., was the wife of the late Harold R. Twing.
She was born in Branford, CT, a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Stone Montgomery. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and former Sunday school teacher for 25 years. Involved with St. Paul's Nursery School for 20 years, she retired as the director. She was a member of the Georgia Chapter No. 48, Order of the Eastern Star in Branford and a member of the Pythian Sisters in Branford.
She is survived by two daughters, Vivian Horvath of Wallingford and Linda Shadgett of Wexford, PA; one sister, Frances Wilson of Wallingford; five grandchildren, Eric Pavitt, David Pavitt, Lane, Emly and Reed Shadgett; and five great grandchildren, Brittney Bennet, Jacob, Nicholas, Zachary and Emly Pavitt. She was predeceased by three brothers, William, Louis and Charles Montgomery; and one sister, Jennie Rowley.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 65 N. Main St., Wallingford, with a luncheon reception at the church for all those attending. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at In Memoriam Cemetery, Wallingford. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., is in charge of arrangements. If friends so desire, gifts in her memory may be sent to All Saints Memorial Fund, c/o St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 65 N. Main St., Wallingford, CT 06492.
Paul S. Francis
MERIDEN -- Paul S. Francis, 71, of 719 Hanover Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, at his residence. He was the husband of Geraldine Limmer Francis.
Born in Hartford on Dec. 12, 1931, he was the son of the late Willis and Eleanor Killiam Francis. He attended Meriden High School and Cheshire Academy and was a graduate of the University of Maine. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and until his retirement, he was employed as credit analyst at Howe Furniture Company in Trumbull. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Charlene T. Francis and her fiance', Matthew Mroczka Jr. of Meriden; a son, Kevin L. Francis and his fiance', Robin Rose of Cromwell; four grandchildren, Paul L. Francis and Kevin M. Francis, both of Cromwell and Shelby N. Korb and Alyssa L. Mroczka, both of Meriden; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Janice Francis of Meriden; two nieces, Carole LaBissioniere of Middletown and Joelle Francis of Meriden; a nephew, Bill Francis of Meriden; and dear friends, Janice, Gene and Angie Barillaro of Meriden.
The funeral will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Perry L. Beaver will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. If desired, contributions in Mr. Francis' memory may be made to the Cancer Care Dept. at MidState Medical Center, 435 Lewis Ave., Meriden, CT 06451.
Frances McKay
NORTHFORD -- Frances (Reynolds) McKay of Northford, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003 in New Haven. She was wife of the late John E. McKay, beloved cousin of John and Rosemary Kenney of Wallingford, Priscilla Kenney of Meriden, John and Kristi Kenney Jr. of Vermont and Michael and Pamela Kenney of New Hampshire.
Frances was born in New Haven, June 14, 1917, daughter of the late Charles and Ann (Spellacy) Reynolds. Mrs. McKay retired from Yale University as a secretary.
Funeral from the Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden Friday at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Monica's Church. Burial in All Saints Cemetery. Ruth Altieri
BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Ruth Greiner Altieri died peacefully at Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton, Fla., on Monday, Feb. 24, 2003.
Ruth was born, grew up, married and raised her family in Meriden -- she always thought of it as home. Ruth and Mike built their wonderful stone house on Alanby Drive in the 1950's and lived a great New England life together. Ruth worked for many years at the Lane Construction Company until she retired. She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church and had found renewed happiness at her Church in Boca Raton for the 13 years of her Florida life. She was a simple woman who lived and loved well.
She will be mourned and honored by her husband, Michael; her daughter, Donna Altieri; her grandson, Dexter Thornton; her son-in-law, Michael Thornton; her son, Dan; and a multitude of friends and family in Boca Raton and back home in Meriden. Rose, Thomas and Eva Altieri, all here in Connecticut, plus Albert Altieri in Los Angeles, Calif., will miss their Ruthie.
Her memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 2 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Boca Raton, Fla., and remembrances of Ruth can be sent to St. Paul, 701 West Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton, Fla. 33486.
Arthould Lefebvre
WALLINGFORD -- Arthould Lefebvre, 92, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003 at Masonic Care in Wallingford. He was the husband of the late Germaine Lefebvre.
Arthould was born in Paquetteville, Quebec, Canada on July 10, 1910. He was a long time resident of Wallingford, working at Gaylord Hospital, then for the Town of Wallingford (Sewer Dept.) until his retirement. He spent most of his retirement years in Palm Bay, Fla.
Arthould leaves four children, Laurence Audet and husband, Denis of Enfield, Roger Lefebvre and wife, Inge of Wallingford, Robert Lefebvre of Bradford, Vt., and Lise Clavette-Simone of Meriden; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and friends. He is predeceased by four brothers, Ernest, Roland, Henri and Eddie; four sisters, Marie, Gertrude, Anna and Lina; and a son-in-law, Frank Simone Sr.
Calling hours will be at the Hale Funeral Home, Route 5 in Bradford, Vt., on Sunday, March 2, from 2 to 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Route 5, Bradford, Vt., on Monday, March 3 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Masonic Health Care Center, PO Box 70, Wallingford, CT 06492.

Therese McKee
MERIDEN -- Therese McKee, 72, of 1066 West Main St., formerly of Lewiston and Portland, Maine died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003 at the MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Lawrence D. McKee.
She was born in Lewiston, Maine, Jan. 9, 1931, a daughter of the late Alfred and Yvonne Lamontagne Gauthier. Until her retirement, she was a nursing assistant at the former Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Meriden.
She is survived by a son, Steven Allen McKee and his wife, Darla of Meriden; a daughter, Nancy Louise McGuire of Meriden; and two grandsons, Daniel Brian Uylaky and Steven Scott McGuire.

Sarah Raccio
EAST HAVEN -- Sarah Grecco Raccio, 59, died at St. Raphael's Hospital on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003 after a brief illness.
Sarah was born in New Haven, Aug. 24, 1943, the daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor Dore Grecco. Amongst her achievements, Sarah was the first female student to receive an Associates Degree in Engineering from the former New Haven College (University of New Haven.) Sarah was employed for the last 10 years as an Accounts Payable Clerk at Ann Taylor in New Haven.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Raccio Jr.; and four children, Joseph (Tammy) Raccio III of Wallingford, Cynthia (Michael) Kiwanis of Bethany, Michael (Sharon) Raccio of Milford and Alice (Raymond) Buzgo of Beacon Falls; and five grandchildren.
A celebration of Sarah's life was held on Feb. 24, at St. Clare's Church in East Haven. Memorials may be made in Sarah's name to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Research Parkway, Meriden, CT 06450.
