Carmen Iglesias

WALLINGFORD -- Carmen Gonzalez Iglesias, 85, of Ossining, N.Y., formerly of Wallingford, beloved wife of the late Manuel Iglesias, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at the Bethel Nursing Home in Ossining.

Born in Valencia, Spain, May 8, 1917, a daughter of the late Juan and Carmen Nadal Gonzalez she had been a Wallingford resident for many years until moving to New York in 1979. She had been a Supervisor at the former Unimax Corporation in Wallingford for many years until her retirement, and was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Carmen A. and James Mejuto of Ossining, N.Y., and Theresa M. Davies of Wallingford; three grandchildren, Timothy W. Davies, Tina C. Murphy and her husband, Dr. Lance Murphy and Todd M. Davies; her six great-grandchildren, Tiffany Davies, Hayley Davies, Joseph Davies, Ashley Murphy, Max Murphy and Sam Murphy; her sister-in-law, Gloria Gonzalez, of Arizona, a niece, Gloria Williams and her husband, Brian Williams; and two nephews, Henry Gonzalez and his wife, Betty Gonzalez and John Gonzalez and his wife, Chris Gonzalez. She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Brittany Murphy; and a brother, John Gonzalez.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial Saturday, Jan. 25, at 10:30 a.m. in Most Holy Trinity Church, 68 North Colony Road in Wallingford. Interment will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St., Ext., Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to either Bethel Nursing Home, 19 Narragansett Ave., Ossining, N.Y., 105621 or Hospice Care in Westchester-Putnam, 100 South Bedford Rd., Suite 340, MT Kisco, N.Y. 10549.

Thomas J. Lacey Sr.

WALLINGFORD -- Thomas J. Lacey Sr., 62, of Ridgefield Road, Wallingford, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003 at Hartford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Arline McVay Lacey.

Born in Meriden, Nov. 2, 1940, a son of the late Walter F. Lacey Sr. and Victoria E. Sabota Lacy, he was a lifelong Wallingford resident, and a graduate of Lyman Hall High School, and the University of New Haven. He was founder and president of A. T. S. Associates of Wallingford, and was managing partner of Phaze 11 LLC of Waterbury. He was a parishioner of SS. Peter and Paul Church, and was a Pierogi Maker at the church. He was a member of the Wallingford Lodge of Elks No. 1365.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Eileen A. Hamlin of Meriden; his three sons and daughter in law, Thomas J. Lacey Jr. and his wife, Nancy, John W. Lacey and Radek M. Lacey, all of Wallingford; his sister, Marianne F. Lacy of Wallingford; two brothers and sisters in law, Richard H. Lacy and his wife, Nancy of East Haven and David P. Lacey and his wife, Lori of Wallingford; four grandchildren, Heather Lacey, Victoria Lacey, Danielle Lacey and Matthew Lacey; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Walter F. Lacy Jr.

His family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St., Ext., Wallingford Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1015 a.m. from The Wallingford Funeral Home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to SS. Peter and Paul Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will be private in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to MidState VNA and Hospice, 658 Broad St., Meriden, CT 06450 or SS. Charles H. Young

RANDOLPH CENTER, Vt. -- Charles Henry Young, 86, of 705 Neighbor Road, Randolph Center, Vt., and formerly of Wallingford, passed away Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003 in Lebanon, N.H.

A son of the late Harold B. and Hazel (Parmelee) Young, graduated from Lyman Hall High School, class of 1934. On Jan. 8, 1941, he married Leta (Ward) Young. He helped establish Young Brothers Orchard in Northford, and owned and operated the High Hill Orchard in Meriden for 25 years before retiring. He was a past 4-H Club Leader in Wallingford, a past president of New Haven County Farm Bureau, and was a lifetime member of the Pomological Society. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Leta (Ward) Young of Randolph Center, Vt.; his sons, Charles H. Young Jr. of Calhoun, Ga., David H. Young of Randolph Center, Vt., and Wayne H. Young of Meriden; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Wilbur P. Young and Donald Young; and by two sisters, Marian Thompson and Beverly Young.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Pearsons Funeral Service, 70 Church St., Lyndonville, Vt.

Emily Bossi

BRISTOL -- Emily (Astromovicz) Bossi, 90, of Bristol, loving widow of Enrico Bossi, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003 at Bristol Hospital.

Mrs. Bossi was born in Southington on Feb. 8, 1912, and a daughter of the late Kaitan and Anna (Malinowski) Astromovicz. She resided in Bristol for the past 40 years and was employed at Marlin Rockwell-TRW, Plainville for 27 years before retiring in 1967. She was a member of St. Anthony Church, Bristol Senior Center, where she was a member of the Singing Group, and R.S.V.P., where she received many awards for volunteering her time. She also was a member of the Bristol Hospital Auxiliary where she volunteered many hours operating the coffee cart and she enjoyed needle work and she loved to travel.

Mrs. Bossi is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Mildred Z. and Joseph O'Hala of Southington; her beloved grandchildren and their spouses, Catherine and Andrew Tichow, Peggy and Brad Thomas, Joseph M. and Kimberly O'Hala, Matthew and Susan O'Hala; her beloved great-grandchildren, Eric, Sarah, Michelle, Patrick and Emily O'Hala, Christopher Thomas and Alison and Michael Tichow; a niece, Ann Martin; and nephew, Jay Zaniewski.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 25.

Stephen D. Giannini

MERIDEN -- Stephen D. Giannini, 35, of Vale Ave., Meriden, beloved husband of Karen Adamowicz Giannini, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at the Hartford Hospital.

Born in Waterbury, Jan. 28, 1967, he had been a Meriden and Wallingford resident for several years. He had been employed as a union glazier in Pennsylvania and Connecticut for several years.

Besides his wife Karen, he is survived by his mother, Karen M. Colby Frazier and her husband, Charles Frazier of Wallingford; his father, Richard N. Giannini of Willington; his son Stephen D. Giannini II, his stepdaughters, Nicole Ercolani and Heather Ercolani and his stepson, Jacob Ercolani, all of Meriden; his paternal grandparents, Nello and Rose Giannini of Cheshire; his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Daniel Mozeliak of Lancaster, Pa.; his brother and sister-in-law, Bryan and Anna Giannini of York, Pa.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Louise Adamowicz, his brother-in-law, Steven Adamowicz, all of Wallingford; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

His family will receive relatives and friends in the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St., Ext., Wallingford, Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Wallingford Funeral Home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Fatima Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be made to the Stephen D. Giannini, II Education Fund, c/o People's Bank, 930 No. Colony Rd. Wallingford, CT 06492.

Robert C. Hozebin

MERIDEN -- Robert C. Hozebin, 61, of Elmwood Drive, Meriden, beloved husband of Patricia A. Loicano Hozebin, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden.

Born in Meriden, Sept. 29, 1941, a son of the late Charles and Dorothy Kafka Hozebin, he had been a lifelong resident. He was employed as a Supervisor for the Town of Wallingford Water Department for many years until his retirement in 2002 and prior to that he had been the co-proprietor of Precision Auto Parts of Wallingford for several years. He was a member of the Meriden Lodge of Elks, the Meriden Republican Town Committee, the Meriden Disability Committee and a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church in Meriden.

Besides his wife, Patricia, he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl A. Soli of Wallingford and Deborah Brogan and Danny Brogan of Coral Springs, Fla.; his two sons, Lee Hozebin of Danbury and Scott R. Hozebin of Meriden; his three grandchildren, Lauralee Soli of Wallingford, Jesse Lee Brogan and Spencer Brogan, both of Coral Springs, Fla.; his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Elaine Hozebin of Westbrook; and several nieces and nephews.

His family will receive relatives and friends in the Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville section of Wallingford, Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Yalesville Funeral Home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church in Meriden, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden. Gifts in his memory may be sent to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 109 Goodwill Ave., Meriden, CT 06451 or to the charity of one's choice.

Thomas J. Lacey Sr.

WALLINGFORD -- Thomas J. Lacey Sr., 62, of Ridgefield Road, Wallingford, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003 at Hartford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Arline McVay Lacey.

Lacey, all of Wallingford; his sister, Marianne F. Lacy of Wallingford; two brothers and sisters in law, Richard H. Lacy and his wife, Nancy of East Haven and David P. Lacey and his wife, Lori of Wallingford; two aunts, Ann (Mrs. Joseph) Bober and Eleanor (Mrs. Theodore) Damm; four grandchildren, Heather Lacey, Victoria Lacey, Danielle Lacey and Matthew Lacey; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Walter F. Lacy Jr.

Ronald H. Cole

MERIDEN -- Ronald Hillbom Cole, 59, formerly of South View Street, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at MidState Medical Center.

Born Aug. 3, 1943, in Meriden, he was the son of the late Ralph I. and Frances E. Hillbom Cole. He had been employed at Choate School in Wallingford.

He is survived by a cousin and her husband, Barbara and Russell French of Cape Cod; and a friend, Eva Sittnick of Wallingford.

A graveside service and burial will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Walnut Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Eric Fjeldal, of the Yalesville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. If desired, contributions in Ronald's memory may be made to the Yalesville United Methodist Church, 8 New Place St., Yalesville, CT 06492.

Carol M. Hall

SOUTHINGTON -- Carol M. (Reynolds) Hall, 64, of Andrews St., the loving wife of J. David Hall, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003 at Hartford Hospital.

Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Theodore and the late Louise (Blanchard) Reynolds, she graduated from Berlin High School, was employed at Meriden-Wallingford Society for the Handicapped, and also operated her catering business "Catering With Class". She was a member of Kensington Congregational Church, and the Women's Auxiliary of the South Kensington Fire Department. She loved making ceramics, cooking, and fondly caring for animals.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Aaron D. Hall of Bristol; two daughters, Wendy L. Hall of Plainville and Laurie A. Lanteri of Bristol; a brother, Edwin Reynolds of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Damaceno, and Bryan and Matthew Bruce; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Kensington Congregational Church. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives are invited to call at Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Kensington, on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations in her memory to The Memorial Fund of Kensington Congregational Church, 312 Percival Ave., Kensington 06037.
