Andrew Miranda
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John Vianney Church for Andrew S. Miranda, 76, of 350 Savin Ave., who died Nov. 22, 2002. He was the husband of Rose Marie Camera Miranda. Before his retirement in 1988, he was manager of the computer department of the New Haven Register, where he worked for 22 years. He was an Army veteran.
Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters Ann Marie LeFrancois and Mary Rose Izzo of West Haven; sons Andrew J. Miranda of the Bronx, NY, and Stephen A. Miranda of West Haven; and 10 grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters Sue Miranda and Lucille Tommasso; and a brother, Angelo Miranda. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The Porto Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mary Lynch
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Agnes Church, Milford, for Mary Hart Lynch, 91, of 11 Sarah Court, who died Nov. 22, 2002. She was the widow of James P. Lynch.
She is survived by daughters Margaret Crieger and Frances Lynch of West Haven; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth Frumento; a sister, Marion Parris; and brothers Paul, Richard and Wilfred Hart.

Joseph DellaCamera
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church for Joseph C. DellaCamera, 84, of 91 Linden St., who died Jan. 12, 2003. He was the widower of Rita LaFlamme DellaCamera. He was a tool and die maker for Olin Corp., until retiring and a Navy veteran. He leaves a daughter, Elaine De Fazio of Ansonia; and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret St. Clair Pierson, and a brother, Ralph DellaCamera. The Pistey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Ronald R. Figlar, 56, who died Jan. 9, 2003. He was the husband of Carrie Wilkinson Figlar. He worked for Bic Pen and Remington Arms. Marye Southworth
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church for Marye Elizabeth Walsh Southworth, 65, of 125 Bluff Ave., who died Jan. 13, 2003. She was the wife of Robert B. He was retired from the physical plant at Yale University. He also leaves sons Jack Ziadeh of East Haven, Simon Ziadeh of CA, Simon Ziadeh of CO, and Michael Ziadeh of FL; daughters Madeline Moyer of FL, and Fatina Batshon of CA; a sister, 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Philip J. Lanna
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul’s Church for Philip J. Lanna, 94, of 100 Ardale St., who died Jan. 21, 2003. He was the owner of The Lanna Bakery Co. in West Haven. He was a World War II veteran. He leaves sisters Therese Lanna of West Have and Ernestine Gaudio of Derby. He was predeceased by sisters Garce Perry and Loretta Ruggiero and a brother, John J. Lanna. Burial with full military honors was in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Allyn Currie Jr.
The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Allyn Currie Jr., 77, of 41 Jones Hill Road, who died Jan. 21, 2003. He was the husband of Ann Braun Currie. He owned and operated A.F. Currie Mechanical. He was a Navy veteran. David Erickson
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Lawrence Church for David G. Erickson, 41, of Ocean Avenue, who died Feb. 3, 2003. He was a son of Kenneth and Lenora “Lee” Lupoli Erickson of West Haven. He was an asbestos abatement specialist for a number of area companies.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by brothers Robert L. Erickson of Orange and Kenneth J. Erickson of FL; and a sister, Carol Erickson Allen of East Haven. Burial was private. The Beecher & Bennett-Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Alfred Astorino
The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Alfred Astorino, 88, of Derby Avenue, who died Jan. 26, 2003. He was a coal miner until his retirement. He leaves no immediate survivors.
Mary Langan
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church for Mary Heins Langan, 78, of 17 Colonial Blvd., who died Feb. 4, 2003. She was the widow of John J. Langan. She retired from the Compass Insurance Agency and previously worked for SNET.
She leaves daughters Maureen E. Rogers and Patricia A. Langan of West Haven; sons John P. Langan of Guilford and Robert S. Langan of West Haven; a brother, Joseph Heins of FL; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.. She was predeceased by a son, Dennis R. Langan, and a brother, Richard Heins.

James Connor
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church for James J. Connor, 73, of 27 Flaum Drive, who died Feb. 6, 2003. He was the husband of Joan Downing Connor. He co-owned Consolidated Dental Lab. He was a retired Navy veteran. He also leaves daughters Joanne Steinau of West Haven and Trish Thompson of Shelton; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, James P. Connor; and a brother, Peter F. Connor.

Ann Martin
The Keenan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Ann Assard Martin, 90, of 7 Pauline Ave., who died Feb. 5, 2003. She was the widow of George E. Martin. She was a clerk for the Veterans Affairs medical center until retiring and an Army Air Forces veteran.
She leaves a son, Roy G. Martin in TN; a daughter, Nancy J. Martin of West Haven; a sister, Lena Knibloe of Watertown; and two grandsons. She was predeceased by a sister, Helen Carlson; and brothers James, George, and Joe Assard. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Harry Withington
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Agnes Church for Harry J. Withington, 80, of 193 Jones Hill Road, who died Feb. 5, 2003. He was the husband of Marion Mandrow Withington. He was retired from Metro North and was an Army veteran.
He also leaves sons Richard A. Withington of Branford and Timothy C. Withington of Killingworth; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters Anna McGovern, Doris Connors and Roslyn Coleman; a brother, Thomas J. Withington; and a grandson, Kevin Patrick Withington. Burial was in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Edith Harrison

She is survived by sisters Emily Slater of West Haven and Alice Furcalowe of Phoenix, AZ. She was predeceased by a sister, Katherine Knapp and a brother, Theron Harrison. Burial was private.
Edith La Valle
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Agnes Church for Edith Zuccarelli LaValle, 83, of 41 Jones Hill Road, who died Feb. 14, 2003. She was the wife of Francis “Frank” LaValle. She was an administrator for the Connecticut Laborers Health & Welfare Fund and an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Fern Julianelle of West Haven; a son, Gary LaValle, in New Jersey; a sister, Mary Forgione of West Haven; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Marchitto; and brothers Michael and Joseph Zuccarelli.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Milford, for Richard T. Verespie, 54, of Norwell St., who died Feb. 17, 2003. He was the husband of Edwina Racki Verespie. Her was a mechanic for the Milford Housing Authority. He was an Army veteran.
He leaves daughters Tammy Calandro of West Have and Jenice Lewis of MS; sons Richard W. Shafter McKnight, Jr.
The Curvin K. Council Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Shafter C. McKnight, Jr., 40, of Homeside Avenue, who died Feb. 15, 2003. He was a son of Virginia White McKnight of West Haven and the late Shafter C. McKnight Sr. He had been employed by Cracker Barrel as a cook.
Besides his mother, he is survived by a son, Trayon Shafter McKnight of Hamden; a daughter, Raquine Roberson of West Haven; brothers, Vincent McKnight of New Haven and Michael McKnight of West Haven; and a sister, Lisa McKnight of New Haven. Burial was in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
Rose Ives

She is survived by a son, Lawrence D. Ives of Killingworth; a daughter, Kathleen Gaudino of West Haven; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Katherine Petrillo. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Milford. The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Henry Stachowicz
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John Vianney Church for Henry A. Stachowicz, 76, of 375 Kelsey Ave., who died May 7, 2003. He was the husband of Lorraine Colonese Stachowicz. He was a self-employed building contractor.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Paul Stachowicz of San Francisco; a daughter, Diane Anderson of Seattle; a brother, Walter Stachowicz of FL; and sisters Lillian Sadick of Shelton, Stella Sulick of Plymouth, Pauline Farizo and Mary Gondola, both of Ansonia. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Burial was in M. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. The Keenan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
