LUTTS, Jane
Jane Lutts, born June 24, 1937, in Wichita Falls, TX, to Claud and Dorothy (Nolen) Forster, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, (May 21, 2000) in Dallas, TX.
Jane graduated from high school in Roswell, NM, and attended Mount Vernon College in Washington , DC, The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Colorado in Boulder.
She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and was an avid bridge player.
Jane is survived by her husband of 36 years, Patrick Lutts of Dallas, TX; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Sartori of Coventry; son, Patrick S. Lutts, Jr. of Moraga, CA; sister, Febe Harrington; and brother-in-law, Charles L. Harrington, both of Moraga, CA; mother-in-law, Mrs. Vernon Lutts of Dallas, TX; brother-in-law, Jack Lutts of Dallas, TX; cousin, Sue Clowe of Ardmore, OK; numerous other family members in Wichita Falls, TX.
A Celebration of Jane's life will be at 4 p.m. TODAY, May 25, at St James's Episcopal Church, W. Hartford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. James's Memorial Fund, 19 Walden Street, West Hartford, CT 06117.
ZAK, Henry
Henry Zak, 75, of Wethersfield, died Tuesday, (May 23, 2000) at a local nursing home.
Born in North Andover, MA, son of the late John and Nora (Sobczyk) Zak, he had lived in Wethersfield most of his life.
Before retiring, he was employed for many years at the State of Connecticut DOT- Department of Transportation.
Henry served in the U.S. Army in World War II as a medic and was an avid fisherman.
He leaves three sisters, Bertha Piekos, of Wethersfield, Josephine Zerdecki, of Fort Worth, TX, and Helen Hinkle, of White Settlement, TX; three brothers, and a sister-in-law, Stanley Zak, Frank Zak, Richard and Josephine Zak, all of Wethersfield; a sister-in-law, Mary Zak, of Rocky Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, John and Zigmund Zak.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at the South Green Memorial Home, 43 Wethersfield Ave., Hartford.
Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict's Cemetery
with military honors.
His family will receive friends TODAY, from 6-9 p.m.

HADDAD, Patricia Anne
Patricia Anne Haddad, 72, of Tacoma, WA, died Monday (December 20, 1999).
She was born in Windham Center, and had lived in Connecticut for most of her life before moving to Arizona and then to Richland, WA, five years ago, and to Tacoma, WA in September, 1999.
She was a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design with a Fine Arts Degree.
Survivors include two children, Tim Haddad of Tacoma, WA; and Leslie Langville of New York; brothers and sisters, Leslie Potter, Thomas Leffingwell and Sally Rocchi.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 27, 11 a.m., at the Family Cottage, 376 West Shore Drive, Groton Long Point.

HUGHES, William A. "Peachy"
William A. "Peachy" Hughes of Wethersfield, husband of Vivian (Lahey) Hughes, died Wednesday, (May 24, 2000).
He was born in Wethersfield, son of the late Henry and Catherine (Scanlon) Hughes and was a lifelong resident.
After World War II, Peachy and his brothers founded Hughes Brothers Service Station.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Wethersfield Country Club since 1936 and was a former Club Champion, winner of the Wethersfield Country Club Invitation, named six times to represent Connecticut in the annual Tri State Champions.
Besides his wife, he leaves his son, William F. Hughes and his wife Diana of Rocky Hill; a brother, Philip Hughes of Wethersfield; two sisters, Katherine Vanderhoff and Beverly Kaminsky, both of Wethersfield.
The funeral will be held Friday May 26, at 9:15 a.m. from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Burial will be in Village Cemetery, Wethersfield.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. TODAY.
GOINS, Thomas Jr.
Thomas Goins Jr, 75, of Bonner St. Hartford, passed away in Hartford. He was born in Winnsboro, SC and had lived in Hartford for the past 62 years.
He is survived by four sons, Andrew, Johnathan and Alfred Goins and Larry Acoff; a daughter, Thomasine Goins; a brother, John L. Goins; a granddaughter; a grandson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 3 p.m. at the Henry L. Fuqua Funeral Chapel, 94 Granby St., Bloomfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
DeGREGORIO, Barbara (Ruglio)
Barbara (Ruglio) DeGregorio, 67, of East Hartford, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, (May 22, 2000) surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Hartford in 1933, the daughter of the late Virginia and Nicholas Ruglio.
She graduated from Wethersfield High School and Hartford Secretarial School, and most recently worked at and retired from Hamilton Standard.
Additionally, Barbara was very active in assisting her husband with Connecticut Special Olympics since its inception for over 20 years.
She was also an active member of the American Heart Association. Barbara leaves behind her devoted husband of 46 years, Francis "Frank" DeGregorio; her four children, Carol Ann and Brian Neal of East Hartford, Frank and Deb DeGregorio of Stratford, Tom DeGregorio of East Hartford, and Virginia and Paul Crean of Marlborough.
In addition, she leaves four grandchildren, Kristyn, Cheri, and Jamie Neal, Bradford DeGregorio, and Maggie Rose Crean (on the way), all of whom she adored.
Barbara is also survived by her sisters and brothers and their spouses, Marie and the late "Flip" Bordieri of Wethersfield, Anthony and Norma Ruglio of Newington, Richard and the late Eleanor Ruglio of Rocky Hill, Lou and Jo-Anne Gulino of Wethersfield, and the late Carl DeGregorio, formerly of East Hartford and Enfield.
She leaves many caring nieces and nephews; and life long friends behind.
Barbara was loved by all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 10 a.m., at Blessed Sacrament Church, Cambridge Drive, East Hartford.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, from 4-8 p.m., at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

DUNCAN, William Woodie
Willliam Woodie Duncan, of Rocky Hill, died Monday, (April 10, 2000) at West Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, almost one year after the passing of his beloved wife, Effie May (Hildenbrandt) Duncan. He was born March 8, 1919 in Nace, VA, to the late William R. and Lillie (Aliff) Duncan.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Lee, James, Clarence and Maurice; and by his sisters, Pearl Montgomery and Beulah Anderson.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Sandra Duncan, Bruce Duncan, and Stephen and Lynne Duncan; by his grandchildren, Sian Wintle and her husband Rich, Adam Duncan, and Caia Duncan; by several devoted nieces and nephews; and by many friends.
He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran and survivor of the Bataan Death March and was held about 34 months as a Japanese prisoner-of-war, before being rescued by the U.S. 6th Rangers on January 30, 1945.
His internment left him legally blind. Never the less, he earned a BA from Wesleyan University and a MEd from the University of Hartford.
He worked for the Connecticut State Board of Education and Rehabilitation Services for the Blind, retiring in 1975 as chief of Rehabilitation Services.
He was a member of the National Rehabilitation Association and a member of its New England Region Board of Directors; a member and sometimes board member of the Connecticut Braille Association; and a member of the American Association Workers for the Blind and on its New England Chapter Board.
He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Blinded Veterans Association and the American Defenders of Bataan and Corregidor.
The Duncan family thanks the staff at West Hill and at Hartford Hospital for the care shown to our dear father.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 15, 10 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 300 Main Street, Wethersfield.
Burial with full Military Honors will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.

WUTSCH, William Joseph
William Joseph Wutsch, 76, of Glastonbury, the beloved husband of Mae (Newman) Wutsch, died peacefully on Monday, (October 2, 2000) at Hartford Hospital.
Born in Glastonbury, the son of the late Joseph A. and Amelia Wutsch, he had lived in Glastonbury for many years.
William was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in World War II.
Prior to his retiring, he was the director of Property and Casualty, for John Hancock Financial Services in Boston, MA.
He had many interests and hobbies including fishing, gardening and model trains but his greatest love was the love he had for family. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Craig Wutsch of California; three daughters and their husbands, Linda (Wutsch) Reardon and Michael of Ellington, Kimberly (Wutsch) Comire and Robert of Glastonbury and Louise (Wutsch) Balducci and Fred of Kensington; six grandchildren, Michelle, Lisa, Michael, Daron, Dana and his pride and joy, William; five great grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, Julia, Chloe and Jaelyn; three sisters, Marjorie Hibbard, Beatrice Conlon and Evelyn Banning; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, 9:30 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester, followed by a Mass of Resurrection, 10 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption, Manchester.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home TODAY, 5-8 p.m.

HANLON, William F. "Bill" Jr.
William "Bill" F. Hanlon, Jr., 46, of Hartford passed away Friday, (June 2, 2000) at his home.
He was born October 11, 1953 in Norwalk, son of Shirley (Miller) Hanlon and the late William F. Hanlon, Sr.
Mr. Hanlon was a longtime resident of Norwalk.
He also resided in California for several years before returning to settle in Hartford.
He was employed as a software consultant for the Town of Bloomfield after a long career as a technician.
Besides his mother he is survived by two daughters, Rebecca and Allison Hanlon of Canton; a grandson, Trevor West of Canton; four sisters, Mary Ryon and Kathy Hanlon both of California, Carol Mandel of New Hartford, Tracey LeBlanc of Georgia; a brother, Paul Hanlon of Torrington and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 9, 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, 289 Arch Road, Avon.
Burial will be at convenience of the family.

JOHNSON, Dionna Ashley-Amil (Manson)
Dionna Ashley-Amil (Manson) Johnson, infant daughter of Dion T. Johnson and Latasha Manson, died Sunday, (October 1, 2000) at St. Francis Hospital.
She was born June 9, 2000. Besides her parents, she is survived by her brother, Dion T. Johnson, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Nellie Castro and Sherman Manson; paternal grandparents, Janie Johnson and Robert Johnson; other relatives.
Funeral services will be Friday, 12 Noon, at Clark Bell & Bell Funeral Home, 319 Barbour St., Hartford.
Family will receive friends at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Rocky Hill.
JENKINS, Samuel Lee
Samuel Lee Jenkins, 55, of Marshall Street, Hartford departed this life Thursday, (September 28, 2000) at home. He was born October 18, 1944 in Bridgeton, NJ to the late Jessie Bell (Goodin) Jenkins and Eddie Jenkins Sr. and was a resident of Hartford most of his life.
He was a long time employee for the State of Connecticut.
He is survived by six children, Samuel Lee Jenkins Jr., Eddie Jenkins III, Denise Champion, Jeanette Braswell and Rochelle Jenkins, all of Hartford, Raynette Simpson of Bloomfield; two sisters, Mable J. Robinson of East Hartford and Evelyn Clark of Millville, NJ; 23 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sons-in-law, Warren Simpson, Timothy Braswell and Rondell Champion; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by three siblings, Flora Jenkins, Jesse Jenkins and Joe Louis Jenkins.
