Elizabeth Coyle
WALLINGFORD -- Elizabeth Edell Coyle of 181 East Main St., Wallingford, wife of the late Richard P. Coyle, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2002.
Mrs. Coyle was born in Wallingford, March 28, 1911, daughter of the late Russell and Elizabeth Gralton Edell.
She was the mother of Mark Coyle of Dunkirk, N.Y., and Susan Coyle Smith of Powell, Wyo.; a sister, Dorothy Edell of Canann; also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Holy Trinity Church, Wallingford, Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial in St. John Cemetery, Wallingford. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice, Double Beach Road, Branford, 06450. Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden is in charge of arrangements.
Norman A. Duke
WALLINGFORD -- Norman Alfred Duke, 79, of Highland Ave., died Sunday, July 7, 2002 at the MidState Medical Center. He was the husband of Edna Hintz Duke for 52 years.
He was born in Meriden, April 29, 1923, a son of the late Thomas and Lenna Bruenn Duke. He served with the 29th Engineers in the Army during World War II in the Philippines. He held a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from Yale University. He retired in 1983 as Vice President of Manufacturing at CHR Industries in New Haven. He had been a charter member of the Gardeners of Greater New Haven, and served as Treasurer, he was Treasurer of the Meriden Wallingford Yale Club. He was an associate member of the Connecticut Agriculture Experiment Station. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Meriden.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathon and Lisa Duke of Needham, Mass.; and a grandson, Tobias Alfred Duke of Needham, Mass. He was predeceased by a brother, William Duke.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 12, at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church. The Rev. David R. Brinkley will officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden or at the church one hour prior to the service. Contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 520 Paddock Ave., Meriden.
Eugene Keer
WALLINGFORD -- Eugene "Clipper" Keer, 72, of North Main St., Wallingford, died Monday, July 8, 2002, at his residence.
Born in New Haven, Feb. 9, 1930, he was a son of the late Samuel and Sonia Brussell Keer, and had been a lifelong Wallingford resident. He had been the proprietor of Keer's Shoe Store, a family business located on Center Street, Wallingford, from 1966 until its closing in January of this year. The store was founded by his late father in 1926. Mr. Keer was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Shaw Sinon Post, No. 73 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Major Raoul Lufbery Post No. 591, both of Wallingford. Known to many as the "Toastmaster General" of Wallingford, and an unofficial "Town Historian," he was a member of the Compass Lodge No. 9 AF & AM of Wallingford and the Wallingford Lodge of Elks, No. 1365. He was an avid collector of antiques, especially firearms and lighting devices. An avid salt water and fresh water fisherman, he was a member of the Wallingford Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Keer Carusone and John J. Carusone III, of Weston, Mass.; his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas J. Keer and Elizabeth Keer, of Boston, Mass.; his sister and brother-in-law, Hilda Keer Rosenman and Irwin Rosenman of Orange; and three nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Esther Norma Keer and Shirley Ruth Keer; and a brother, Harold Joseph Keer.
His family will receive relatives and friends in the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street, Ext., Wallingford, Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Wallingford Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will be in the In Memoriam Cemetery

Elizabeth M. LeBlanc
WALLINGFORD -- Elizabeth M. Dudier LeBlanc, 91, of South Colony St., Wallingford, died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at the Coccomo Memorial Health Care Center in Meriden.
Born in Canada, Dec. 25, 1910, she had been a Wallingford resident for 73 years. She was employed by the former Stanley Judd Company in Wallingford for over 40 years until her retirement.
She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Dolores and Francis Woods of Wallingford, Elizabeth Brandl and her fiancee, Ray Gillis of Meriden; her son, Leo LeBlanc of Wallingford; her six grandchildren, William Murdy Jr., Richard Brandl Jr., Derek Woods, Mara Lee Mahalik, Michelle Wooding and Danielle McConnell; nine great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Mary Cormier of Gardner, Mass., and Margaret Dudier of Canada; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a great-great-grandson; a sister; and four brothers.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St., Ext., Wallingford, Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Wallingford Funeral Home, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery

Lois L. McLaughlin
WALLINGFORD -- Lois L. McLaughlin, 83, of 47 Heritage Woods, died and is now with her heavenly father. She was the wife of the late Clifford McLaughlin Sr.
She was born in Springfield, Mich., March 4, 1919, a daughter of the late Torry and Ada Boyington Merrill. She belonged to the Center Congregational Church in Meriden.
She was devoted to her family and is survived by two daughters, Jacklyn Krampitz of Wallingford and Caroline Anderson of Waymart, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Judyann Wilkerson of Lake City, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Becky McLaughlin of Virginia Beach, Va., Ronald and Josie McLaughlin of Kensington; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Jean Merrill of Danielson, Roderick Merrill of Roy, Utah, Russell and Char Merrill of Fort Meyers Beach, Fla., Clifford and Jan Merrill of Fort Collins, Colo.; two daughters and son-in-law, Noreen and Larry Elliot of Sun City Center, Fla., Gladys Leighton of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Juanita Dill of Lincoln, Maine; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three step grandchildren; two great-step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many loving friends. She was predeceased by two sons, Clifford McLaughlin Jr. and John McLaughlin; a brother, Harry Merrill; and four sisters, Dorothy Abt, Louise Pregue, Norma Greiner and Evelyn Locastro.
A private burial will take place in Carroll, Maine at the convenience of the family. May she rest in peace. JAMES M. BOLGER
NEW BRITAIN -- James M. Bolger, 80, of Farmington Ave., New Britain, died Friday, June 28, 2002, at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, in Bedford, Mass. He was the husband of Lorna Ridley Bolger.
Born in New Haven, July 17, 1921, he was a son of the late John and Ellen Murphy Bolger and resided in Milford, Meriden and Pinehurst, N.C., until moving back to Wallingford and New Britain recently. He was educated in New Haven Schools and Quinnipiac College and had been employed with United Advertising of New Haven for 25 years, Murphy Advertising Corporation in Waterbury for 13 years and retired from Griese Advertising Company in 1983 as First Vice President. He then provided advertising consulting services for 4 years. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corp, from 1942 to 1945 as a flight engineer with the 8th Air Corp Bomber Command. He was a former member of the New Haven Rotary Club, the Meriden Republican Town Committee, the Knights of Columbus, and the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and served as secretary-treasurer of Connecticut Outdoor Advertising. In Pinehurst, he was a member of the Golf Capital Chorus of the Sandhills, the Pinehurst VFW, and Literacy Volunteers.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his three daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and William Stearns III of Plymouth, Mass., Patricia and John Ritskowitz of Wallingford and Shawn and her husband, James Schaedler Jr. of Meriden; also a step-son; his step-children, Roxanne Taylor of New York City, Thomas Hester of Winter Park, Fla., and Joseph Schaedler of Chester; 15 grandchildren; a greatgrandson; and several nieces. He was predeceased by his first wife, Nina Maxson Bolger; a granddaughter, Erin Schaedler; three sisters, Helen Weber, Anne Mitchell and Mary Bolger; and a brother, John Bolger.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass of Christian burial, Monday, July 29, at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Church, New Haven. Interment with military honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery
in Meriden. Stephanie Campbell
CHESHIRE -- Mrs. Stephanie (Lesniak) Campbell, 88, of 24 Southwick Court died Monday, July 8, 2002 at CT. Hospice in Branford. She was the wife of R. Foster Campbell of Cheshire and the late Walter Wadinger.
Mrs. Campbell was born Sept. 2, 1913 in New York City, N.Y., daughter of the late Adam and Mary (Piotrowski) Lesniak and lived in Cheshire most of her life. She graduated from Hillhouse High School in New Haven. She was the former owner of Stephanie's Dress Shop in Cheshire. A very socially active person, Mrs. Campbell volunteered in the Soup Kitchen in Meriden, and she loved flowers and cooking, especially for others, and was extremely loved by her family.
She leaves a daughter, Karen Larkin of Cheshire; a sister, Flo Schucho of Tampa, Fla.; three grandchildren, Stephen Larkin and his wife, Kelly, Kristy Mahon and her husband, Bill and Robby Larkin and his wife, Kathy; eight great-grandchildren, Abigail, Jessica, Emily and Karen Larkin, all of Cheshire, Samantha and Madison Larkin of Wallingford and Gregory and Stephanie Mahon of North Branford. She was predeceased by a son, Stephen McClusky; and two brothers, Edward and Walter Lesniak.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Congregational Church of Cheshire, On-the-Green. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Andrew J. Lonczak
MERIDEN -- Andrew J. Lonczak, 87, of Galoppi Road, Meriden, husband of Regina (Wawrzasek) Lonczak, died peacefully Tuesday, July 9, 2002 at Meriden Care & Rehab.
Andrew was born April 15, 1915 in Perth Amboy, N.J., a son of the late Martin and Sophie (Pajak) Lonczak. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church, a member of the Holy Name Society and a collector during Mass for many years.
In addition to his wife, Regina, he is survived by a son, Kenneth and Ann Lonczak of Meriden; two nieces, Anita Lonczak and Janice and her husband, John Grigo, all of New Jersey; and three cherished grandchildren, Gregory, Timothy and Stephen Lonczak, all of Meriden. He was predeceased by a brother, John S. Lonczak.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 12, at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church officiated by the Rev. Edmond Nadolny. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Szymaszek-Taylor Funeral Home, 189 E. Roman Marziarz
SOUTHINGTON -- Roman "Norman" Marziarz, 69, of 104 Little Fawn Road, died Monday, July 8, 2002 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Vera (Chekoulias) Marziarz.
Born on June 3, 1933 in Gill, Mass., the son of John "Oscar" and Sophia Piskor of Gill, Mass. Prior to his retirement in 1990, he was employed at Pratt & Whitney in Southington for over 40 years. Mr. Marziarz was an Eagle Scout and a former Cub Scout Master for many years, a member of the Bristol B.P.OE Lodge No. 1010 and St. Kaziemerz Society of Turners Falls, Mass. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Bristol.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Sandra Votto, Paul S. and his wife, Lauren Marziarz and William P. and his wife, Angela Marziarz, all of Southington; two granddaughters, Nicole Kate and Lindsay Ann Marziarz.
The funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to St. Joseph's Church in Bristol at 10 a.m. for a Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery
in Bristol. Calling hours will be on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
