ANNA V. PUSTELNIAK
A Mass of Christian Burial for Anna V. Pustelniak, 85, formerly of 295 Camp Street, Bristol, widow of Michael Pustelniak, was held at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Church, Bristol, with the Rev. Brian Shaw, pastor, officiating. Gwen Bartok was the organists and soloist. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol, with the Rev. Shaw reading the committal. The pallbearers were three grand-nephews: Charles Puskarz, David Puskarz and John Puskarz; a nephew, John Hanusovsky; and Willard Kellert and Chester Nyerick. GEORGE A. BAEHR, JR
BAEHR, George A. Jr., 69, of 428 Emmett Street, Bristol, widower of Audrey (Holtz-hauzen) Baehr, died Friday (May 1, 1998) at home. Mr. Baehr was born in Hart-ford on March 8, 1929 and was a son of the late George A. Baehr Sr. and Cecile (Dulac) Baehr. A Bristol resident all his life, he was employed in research and development for a number of companies, including Coleco, Timex, Stanley and Otis Elevator; and has been employed at Locknetics for the past 10 years. He was a United States Navy veteran of WWII and Korea. Mr. Baehr is survived by four sons and a daughter-in-law: John P. Baehr, William R. Baehr, Ron and Cheryl Baehr, all of Bristol, and Andrew R. Baehr, of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Patricia Ann Baehr, of New Britain, and Kathleen Marie Baehr, of Bristol; a brother, Roy Baehr, of Florida; two sisters, Paulette Symolon of Southington and Elaine Simon of Bristol; eight grandchildren: Nicholas, Christo-pher, Riki Lee, William, Ben, Michael, Kayla and Brandon; a great granddaughter, Jasmine; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 5 at 9 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., to St. Ann Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Avon. Frederick M. Bortolan, 79
EAST HAVEN - Frederick M. Bortolan, 79, of 19 Foxon Road died Friday at his home. He was the husband of Mary Bodjiony Bortolan.
Mr. Bortolan was born March 14, 1917, in Newark, N.J., a son of the late Peter and Sylvia Auletta Bortolan. He lived in East Haven for the past 35 years. He was the former owner of Congress Sewing Machine in New Haven and Foxon Antiques. He was also a truck driver for the C.W. Blakeslee Co. for 15 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of Teamsters Local 443 in New Haven and a former member of the 102nd Infantry, Connecticut National Guard, and the East Haven Volunteer Fire Department.
Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters, Sylvia Carusone of Hamden, Patricia Von Bortolan of Bristol and Mary Judith BonTempo of Madison; a son, Frederick M. Bortolan Jr. of Wolcott; a sister, Gloria Cassella of Hamden; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Bortolan was predeceased by brothers, Napoleon, Joseph and Dante Bortolan. Stanley J. Kuziel, 74
VENICE, Fla. - Stanley Joseph Kuziel, 74, of Bimini Avenue, formerly of West Haven, died Wednesday at an area hospice. He was the husband of Anna C. Kuziel.
Mr. Kuziel was born May 7, 1922, in New Haven , a son of the late Peter and Stefanie Burdra Kuziel. He was an expeditor for Pratt & Whitney A/C Division, United Technologies, in North Haven for 20 years. He was a parishioner of Epiphany Cathedral and a member of American Legion Post 159. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. Besides his wife, he is survived by sons, Steven E. Kuziel of High Point, N.C., Robert C. Kuziel of Ellicott City, Md., and Stanley J. Kuziel Jr. of Cheltenham, Pa.; a sister, Alice Dobrowski of New Haven; a brother, Stephan Kuziel of Branford; and four grandchildren. Robert V. Santacroce, 49
ST. MARY, Kan. - Robert V. Santacroce, 49, of Walnut Street, formerly of Woodbridge, Conn., died Wednesday after being stricken at work. He was the husband of Ann Santacroce.
A son of Edith Pannella Santacroce of Woodbridge and the late Mariano Santacroce, he was born in New Haven Aug. 14, 1947. He was a resident of Woodbridge most of his life, moving to Kansas in 1987. He was the owner of a bottled water company in St. Mary. In his youth he was well known as a baseball player. He served in the Marines in the Vietnam War era.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by daughters, Amy and Emily Santacroce, and a son, Robert V. Santacroce Jr. of St. Mary; and brothers, Paul R. Santacroce of Branford, Martin D. Harvey Wahnquist Sr., 80
LAKELAND, Fla. - Harvey Wahnquist Sr., 80, a native of East Haven , died Thursday at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Margaret Wahnquist of Lakeland.
Mr. Wahnquist was born Feb. 13, 1916, in East Haven. He moved to Lakeland from Manchester in 1972. He was a salesman for the McDonald Valve Co. He was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and the Elks Lodge of Englewood 2378, a charter member of the Moose Lodge of South Lakeland 2295, a member of Adelphi-Momauguin Lodge 63 AF&AM, a former member of Sphinx Temple Band of Hartford 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Scottish Rite Valley of Tampa Orient of Florida.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Harvey Wahnquist Jr. of Fairfield; and daughters, Janet Tierney of Canton, Mass., and Cynthia Gonzalez of Bristol. - National Cremation Society

Marie E. Clark, 53
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - Marie Estelle Clark, 53, of Oaktown Lane, formerly of Guilford, Conn., died Monday at home. She was the wife of Jack Clark.
She retired from the Southern New England Telephone Co. after 33 years of service. Mrs. Clark was born in Connecticut June 30, 1943, a daughter of Julia Pucella, now of Huntington Beach. Susan K. Jones, 58
OLD SAYBROOK - Susan Kay Knouse Jones, 58, of Ridge Drive South died Wednesday at Mariner Health at Bride Brook. Born July 24, 1938, in Cokeville, Wyo., she was the daughter of the late Claude and Grace Knouse. She was the widow of the Rev. Stephen N. Jones.
She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Wyoming and completed an advanced nursing degree. She was licensed as a nurse practitioner in 1973. She served as an active duty Navy nurse for 23 years, from 1950 until her retirement as a lieutenant commander in 1982. During her years of service, she was posted at Portsmouth, Va.; Sangley Point, Philippines; Yokosuka, Japan; San Diego; Patuxent River, Md.; Long Beach, Calif.; La Maddalena, Sardinia; Jacksonvile, Fla.; and the Naval Air Station at Bermuda. She was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. In Old Saybrook, she was a member of First Church of Christ and served on its board of trustees, Diaconate, Women's Fellowship, Friday Nighters, 350th Anniversary Committee , Brunch Bunch, Missionary Committee, Visitations Committee, Crafters and both the vocal and bell choirs. She recently chaired the historic house tour and luncheon in honor of the church's 350th anniversary.

Dr. J. Mitchell Floyd, 77
DELAND, Fla. - Dr. J. Mitchell Floyd, 77, former Milford veterinarian, died Thursday at his home on Black Ironwood Drive. He was the husband of Audrey Rose Floyd.
Dr. Floyd was born in Glens Falls, N.Y., Jan. 13, 1920, a son of the late James Harvey and Myrtle Susan Wright Floyd. He moved to Deland from Palm Beach Gardens 10 years ago. He was the former owner of the Milford Animal Hospital and was a veterinarian for many years. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, Milford Yacht Club, Eastpoint Country Club, Deland Country Club, the American Veterinary Association, the New England Veterinary Association, the Boy Scouts and Omega Tau Sigma veterinary fraternity. He was a Army Air Forces veteran of World War II.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Gail Richter of Deland; a son, Bruce Floyd of Deland; a brother, E. David Floyd of Orange; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. - Lankford Funeral Home

Mary A. Simeone, 81
NEW HAVEN - Mary A. Morelli Simeone, 81, of 315 Eastern St. died Friday at St. Raphael's Hospital. She was the widow of Ralph Simeone.
Mrs. Simeone was born Oct. 9, 1915, in the Bronx, N.Y., a daughter of the late Aristide and Jennie Palladino Morelli. She was the co-owner, with her husband, of Mike's Apizza, formerly of West Haven. She was a member of the Clelian Center of Hamden, the 315 Club and the Sunshine Club of Bella Vista, and St. Peter's Rosary Society.
Mrs. Simeone is survived by daughters, Marion DelMoro of New Haven, Jean Tirozzi of North Haven and Jennie "Jill" Lamberti of East Haven; a son, Ralph Simeone Jr., in North Carolina; a sister, Augusta Naimali of New Fairfield; brothers, Louis Morelli of Staten Island, N.Y., and Romeo Morelli of New Fairfield; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Urban A. Abair, 83
ANSONIA - Urban A. Abair, 83, of 126 Ford St. died Thursday at Mariner Health Center. He was the widower of Mary DiPasque Abair.
Mr. Abair was born in Shelburne, Vt., and he was a longtime resident of Springfield, Mass. He retired in 1973 as a maintenance worker in the chemical operations department at the Monsanto plant in Springfield. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Springfield.
