Antonio Tevolini, 70, of Minturno, Latina, Italy, died Sept. 9 in Naples, Italy.
He died of heart failure, according to his family.
Born Nov. 16, 1932, in Battipaglia, Province of Salerno, Italy, he was a son of Filomena Tevolini of Stamford and the late Gennaro Tevolini.
He is survived by two brothers, Luigi Tevolini of Stamford and Ferdinando Tevolini of Greenwich; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased in 2000 by a brother, Pasquale Tevolini.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Cecilia Church, 1184 Newfield Ave., Stamford.
Jill M. Uzar

Jill M. Uzar, 47, of Greenwich, an employee of Pitney Bowes in Stamford, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Stamford Hospital.
She died of pneumonia, according to her fiancé, William Martin of Greenwich.
Born Oct. 29, 1954, in Stamford, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Opal Uzar.
Raised and educated in Stamford, she had worked at Pitney Bowes for 29 years and was an accounts payable coordinator.
Miss Uzar had lived three years in Greenwich.
She was an avid bowler, who bowled for many years in the Stamford Girls Independent League. Miss Uzar was a New York Yankees fan.
Surviving is a sister, Barbara Ecenrode of Pottsville, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Penny Uzar, and by her stepfather, Joseph Reilly.
Calling hours are from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Craft Memorial Home, 40 Leicester St., Port Chester, N.Y.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the White Plains Rural Cemetery
in White Plains, N.Y.

Helen Vadala

Helen Ceci Santora Vadala, 82, a Cos Cob resident, died Sunday, Oct. 6, at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, N.Y.
She died after a long illness with cancer, according to her family.
Mrs. Vadala was a member of the St. Lawrence Society of Cos Cob, the Rosary Guild of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside and a friend to St. Roch Church in Greenwich.
She had worked for Shicks of Stamford, Yale & Towne of Stamford, and Electrolux of Old Greenwich.
She was a homemaker for 40 years and enjoyed cooking and baking.
One of her greatest gifts was caring for and supporting others who had terminal illnesses, said her son, the Rev. Albert Santora Jr. of Fairfax, Va.
Born May 29, 1920, in Rose Cosenza, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Rosaria D'Aquella Ceci. She immigrated to the United States in 1928.
In addition to her son, she is survived by a daughter, Rosemarie White of Cos Cob; a stepdaughter, Patricia Pugliese of Florida; three stepsons, Nino Vadala of Cos Cob, Albert Vadala of Florida and Kenneth Vadala of Danbury; a sister, Angie Petrizzi of Riverside; and a granddaughter.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Albert Santora Sr., in 1961; her second husband, A. Frank Vadala Sr., in 1998; two brothers, Anthony Ceci Sr. and Joseph Ceci Sr.; and two sisters, Josephine Belmont and Asontina Ceci.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Roch Church, 10 St. Roch Ave.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich.

Dennis T. Murphy Jr.

Dennis T. Murphy Jr., 41, a Greenwich native and lifelong resident, died Saturday, Oct. 12, at his home.
Born Nov. 1, 1960, in Greenwich, he was the son of Dennis T. Murphy Sr. and Angelina Carretta Murphy of Greenwich.
He attended St. Mary Grammar School and was a graduate of St. Mary High School in 1978. Mr. Murphy worked for several years at Greenwich Hospital and was an avid fisherman and sports fan.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a daughter, Shannon Murphy of Greenwich; two sisters, Susan Genovese of Norwalk and Denise Murphy of Greenwich; and six nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich.
Services and burial will be private.

Leonard A. Slink

Leonard A. Slink, 79, of Cos Cob, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, at St. Camillus Health Care Center in Stamford.
He died of cardiac arrest, according to his family.
Born July 14, 1923, in Cos Cob, he was the son of the late Joseph and Eva M. Slink.
Mr. Slink was a highway worker for the Connecticut Department of Transportation before retiring.
He is survived by two sisters, Helen McNally of Belmar, N.J., and Julia Riska of Port Saint Charles, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial is to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave., Greenwich.
Internment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery
on North Street in Greenwich.
The Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 9 Pulaski St. Stamford, is handling arrangements.
Theodore V. Fowler III

Theodore V. Fowler III, 82, of Southbury, the father of a town resident, died Friday, Oct. 11, at Danbury Hospital.
He died of heart failure, said his son, Theodore V. Fowler IV of Greenwich.
Born Sept. 5, 1920, in New York City, he was the son of the late Irene Brennan and Theodore V. Fowler Jr. He was raised in Pelham, N.Y., and graduated from Amherst College.
Mr. Fowler served as a lieutenant commander and navigator in the U.S. Navy aboard the SS West Point during World War II.
He lived in Toledo, Ohio, and New York City and spent most of his career at Owens-Corning Fiberglas Inc., where he held the positions of vice president of sales and head of international sales. One of his notable accomplishments was introducing Fiberglas to the automotive industry, where the product was first was used in the Corvette.
After retirement he moved to Nyack, N.Y., where he was active in the Lions Club. He moved to Southbury in 1993.
In addition to his son, he is survived by his wife, Constance Ladue Fowler of Southbury; a daughter, Marni Most of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Monday in Southbury. Burial was in Kensico Cemetery
in Valhalla, N.Y.
Munson-Lovetere Funeral Homes in Southbury handled the arrangements.
