Fabio Iantorno, 55,

Fabio Iantorno, 55, a Stamford resident who worked as a painting contractor for 20 years, died Tuesday, July 30, at Norwalk Hospital.
He died of a heart attack, according to his family.
Born Jan. 6, 1947, in Montealto Uffugo Ceosenza, Italy, he was a son of Clorinda Giardino Iantorno of Stamford and the late Giovanni Iantorno.
Mr. Iantorno lived in Stamford for 44 years. He served in the U.S. Army in the 1960s.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Joseph Iantorno of Stamford and Adam Iantorno of Shelton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Vincenzo Iantorno.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 1, at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at St. Mary's Church, 566 Elm St., Stamford.
Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery
in Darien.
Rosalie Lowman, 83,

Rosalie M. "Nanny" Lowman, 83, a Ridgefield resident and a Salvation Army Silver Star Mother, died Tuesday, July 30, at Danbury Hospital.
She died of natural causes, according to her family.
Born Jan. 1, 1919, in Litchfield, she was a daughter of the late Winslow and Ann Knox Darling.
Mrs. Lowman lived in Stamford most of her life except for two years when she lived in Greenwich. In 1998 she moved to Ridgefield.
She is survived by three daughters, Major Deborah Lugiano of the Salvation Army of Ithaca, N.Y., Penny D'Arinzo of Ridgefield and Karyn Lowman of Greenwich; seven sons, Charles Lowman of Naugatuck, George Lowman of New Haven, James Lowman of Williston, Fla., Robert Lowman of New City, N.Y., Clifford Lowman of Milford, Kevin Lowman and Richard Lowman of Stamford; five brothers, Robert Darling, John Darling, William Darling, Richard Darling, all of Stamford, and Roger Darling of New York; a sister, Harriet Riccardelli of New York; 22 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Horace Lowman, in 1997; four sons, Lt. Col. H. Douglas Lowman of the Salvation Army, David Claire Lowman, John Lowman and Daniel Paul Lowman; two sisters, Mildred Hartlett and Ann Bianco; and a brother, Winslow Darling.
Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford.
A service will held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Stamford.

Harriet C. Meyerink

Harriet Chamberlain Meyerink, 84, formerly of Greenwich and Cos Cob, and St. Joseph, Michigan, died at her home in Ogden, Utah, on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
She died of natural causes, her family said.
Born April 26, 1918, in Pittsfield, Mass., Mrs. Meyerink was a daughter of the late Arthur Percy Chamberlain and Ruth Alida Pierce. Her family moved to Greenwich in 1929.
Mrs. Meyerink attended Emerson College, in Boston, and the University of North Carolina. On Sept. 15, 1939 she married George Meyerink, in Greenwich.
Mrs. Meyerink was active in the community, serving on the Parent Teacher Association in Connecticut, and while in Michigan, she was active with the League of Women Voters. She moved to Michigan in 1955 and served on the education committee for the Congregational Church in St. Joseph and the Lakeshore School District. She also served on the Lakeshore school board from 1962 to 1969.
She and her husband hosted Youth for Understanding exchange students and were active in that program for several years. She returned to school and completed her English degree in 1967 at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich.
After retiring in 1976, Mrs. Meyerink and her husband traveled extensively. They lived for some time in Florida, then Arizona and Massachusetts, before settling in Utah in 1997. George Meyerink died in 1998.
She is survived by five children, Gale Dick of Upton, Mass., Gretchen Keefer of Gaston, Ore., Peter Meyerink, of Berrien Springs, Mich., Kory Meyerink, of Salt Lake City, and Penny Stohel of Ogden. She is also survived by a brother, Gordon Chamberlain of Cos Cob, and sisters Eleanor Morse, of Concord, N.H., and Dot Peterson, of Waverly, Ohio and 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Douglas Chamberlain.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday in Ogden. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Stuart S. Orrick, 81,

Stuart Symington Orrick, 81, of Charlottesville, Va., a retired stockbroker and the father of a Greenwich resident, died Friday, Aug. 16, at Westminster Canterbury of the Blue Ridge retirement home.
He died of cancer, his family said.
Born Oct. 31, 1920, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late DeCourcy Wright Orrick and Louise Symington Orrick.
Mr. Orrick, known as 'Tink,' was raised in Baltimore and Gibson Island, Md., graduated from Kent School and attended the University of Virginia and Williams College.
He worked for Pan American World Airways and met his wife, Kathleen Ward Young, while stationed in Bermuda. They lived in Rochester, N.Y., where he worked as a stockbroker.
They retired to Gibson Island, where he was a member of St. Christopher-by-the Sea Church. In 1995, they moved to Charlottesville and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Stuart Orrick of Greenwich; a daughter, Kathleen Pearson of Charlottesville; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a future date.

Richard F. Serna

Richard F. Serna, 70, a retired consultant for Verla International of New Windsor, N.Y., died Saturday, Aug. 17, at his home in Norwalk.
He died of a heart attack, according to his family.
Born June 11, 1932, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Lucas and Anne Finnerty Serna.
Mr. Serna grew up in Greenwich. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He lived in Norwalk the past 26 years.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalind Scianna Serna of Norwalk; two sons, Richard Serna Jr. of Bethel and Lucas Serna of Norwalk; four daughters, Anne Marie Serna of New Milford, Herta Iossa, Robin Serna and Theresa Serna, all of Norwalk; a stepson, Bernard Lee of Norwalk; a stepdaughter, Patricia Lee Giglio of Norwalk; two brothers, John Serna and Luke Serna, both of Greenwich; a sister, the Rev. Mother David Serna of Bethlehem; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Francis Serna.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk.
Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
