JASIAH MARQUE LANDERS
Jasiah, infant son of Jason M. and Melissa A. (Hammock) Landers, died Jan. 1, 2001, at his home in Fountain as a result of SIDS.
Jasiah was born Sept. 30, 2000, in Colorado Springs.
He is survived by his parents; a brother, Jaelyn Malik; a sister, Janiya Monet; and his grandparents, Debbie Morgan, Patricia and Ed Bauman, Jackie Hammock; and Harry J. Landers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 331 Main St., Security. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road. Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. U.S. Highway 85/87, Fountain, 390-4906, is handling arrangements.

JOY DENISE (BEIRIGER) MENKE
Mrs. Menke, 40, died of cancer Jan. 1, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker. She was a chaplain at Post 1960 and an American Legion rider. She served in the Army from 1979 to 1991.
Mrs. Menke was born July 30, 1960, in Albuquerque, N.M., to Darrell and La Joy Sturgess. She was married June 13, 1992, to Norbert F. Menke Jr.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Michael; four daughters, Vicki Owens, Jessica Owens, Tina Menke and Misty Menke; her parents; two brothers, Robbie Beiriger of Alamosa and Darrell Beiriger of Thornton; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at American Legion Post 38, 6685 Southmoor Drive, Fountain. Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. U.S. Highway 85/87, Fountain, 390-4906, is handling arrangements.

CHESTER J. KUCMA
Mr. Kucma, 75, died Dec. 31, 2000, at his home in Colorado Springs. He worked in civil service and served in the Navy from 1942 to 1946.
Mr. Kucma was born April 21, 1925, in Chicago to Leon and Mary (Wisniewski) Kucma, who are deceased. He was married Nov. 15, 1947, to Phyllis Mary Antoinette Mordell.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Les and Glenn; a daughter, Linda; two brothers, Walter and Ted; a sister, Veronica Siggeman; and three grandchildren, Kristin, Heather and Andre'.
A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3122 Poinsetta Drive. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at Swan Law Cascade Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. Inurnment will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., staging area D, Denver.
JEFFREY DEAN MANYIK
Mr. Manyik, 37, a former Calhan resident, died Dec. 18, 2000, in Lawrence-ville, Ga. He was employed in business management.
Mr. Manyik was born Nov. 7, 1963, in Colorado Springs.
He is survived by his parents, Jackie (Walberg) Brackett and Earl and Marcella Manyik; two brothers, Jay and Jeremy; one sister, Jennifer Coxwell; his grandmother, Charlotte Walberg; a niece; and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Henry Walberg and John Manyik; and a grandmother, Helen Manyik.
Memorial services are planned later in Calhan. Inurnment will be at Calhan Cemetery, Calhan.

GEORGE R. HARTMAN
Mr. Hartman, 86, died Dec. 24, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He was retired from Northrop Corp. He also served in the Army Air Corps.
Mr. Hartman was born Nov. 21, 1914, in Barnard, Mo., to Nicholas E. and Julia Anna (Kill) Hartman, who are deceased. He was married Jan. 25, 1947, to Dorothy R. Evans.
He is survived by his wife; a stepson, Clifford Evans; a stepdaughter, Esther A. Shaw; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date.
Cremation is planned.

LORENA ELIZABETH HOHENGARTEN
Mrs. Hohengarten, 86, died Dec. 29, 2000, at a local care center. She was a homemaker. She also served as an organist for her church and was a piano teacher.
Mrs. Hohengarten was born Feb. 5, 1914, in Fort Smith, Ark., to William E. and Meta Bracht Long, who are deceased. She was married June 25, 1930, to the Rev. John Hohengarten, who is deceased.
She is survived by two sons, John Hohengarten III and Karl Hohengarten; and five grandchildren.

WILLIAM EDWIN "BILL" FLAGLER
Mr. Flagler, 58, died Dec. 27, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He was employed as a tour director and operations assistant with the 21st Services Squadron Community Services at Peterson Air Force Base for more than 10 years. He was retired from the Air Force.
Mr. Flagler was born Oct. 7, 1942, in Rochester, N.Y., to William F. and Ruth Flagler. His father is deceased. He was married Oct. 7, 1977, to Alice R. (Shackelford) Flagler.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Jack Ishmael; a daughter, Bonnie Hart; his mother; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Peterson Air Force Base Chapel on Vincent Drive.

VERA M. RILEY
Vera, 75, a Colorado Springs resident, died Dec. 26, 2000, in Abilene, Kan., as a result of a car accident. She retired as a school teacher from School District 11.
Vera was born July 5, 1925, in Virgil, Kan.
She is survived by five nephews, Milo Riley II, Roger Riley, Dr. Stephen Riley, Robert Semke and Mark Semke; and three nieces, Susan Riley, Margaret Riley and Gail Vickers. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; two sisters; and a nephew.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, 420 N. Nevada Ave. Services will also be in Virgil.
LINDSAY MICHELLE AVERY DEARINGER
Lindsay, infant daughter of Dustin Matthew Lee and Alexis Ann (Russell) Dearinger, died Dec. 23, 2000, in Colorado Springs.
Lindsay was born June 20, 2000, in Colorado Springs.
She is survived by her parents; and her grandparents, Linda (Dearinger) and Earl Masters; her great-grandparents, John Jr. and Esther Dearinger, Norman and Connie Snyder and David and Tracy Shaughnessy; and her great-great-grandmother, Mary Brittell.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. Cappadona's Alternative Funeral Services, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling arrangements.
MICHAEL B.A. "POETIC POPS" REYNOLDS
Mr. Reynolds, 24, died Dec. 25, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He was a dancing instructor and helper of people with special needs.
Mr. Reynolds was born March 5, 1976, in Van Nuys, Calif., to Johnny K. Reynolds and Darlene K. (Michaels) Leones. His father is deceased.
He is survived by his mother; four brothers, Thomas Reynolds, Travis Reynolds, Jay Reynolds and Ciro De LaGarza; four sisters, Windy Mason, Misty Reynolds, Brandi Adams and Tammi Hersrud; and his grandma, Dorothy Michaels.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dawn.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597.
Inurnment will be private.
LOIS ANNA FRANKLIN
Mrs. Franklin, 75, died Dec. 27, 2000, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Franklin was born April 19, 1925, in Houston to Charlie Lawrence and Irene Stewart, who are deceased. She was married May 7, 1955, to Elbert Franklin, who is deceased.
She is survived by two sons, Ben and David; a sister, Charlene Tadlock; and three grandchildren.
Services were held. A private burial was at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road. Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Services, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7991, handled arrangements.

DONNA ELIZABETH (HOFFMAN) KAUFMAN
Mrs. Kaufman, 65, died Dec. 28, 2000, in Colorado Springs. She worked at Clifton Precision and then was a bus driver with School District 20.
Mrs. Kaufman was born April 20, 1935, in Evanston, Ill., to William J. and Adeline C. (Curtiss) Hoffman, who are deceased. She was married July 31, 1960, to Ralph A. Kaufman.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Cindy Frahm; and four grandchildren, Valerie, Moriah, Nicholas and Joshua.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at First Friends Church, 2748 E. Pikes Peak Ave. Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Services, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7991, is handling cremation.
