ROBERT E. THOMPSON
Mr. Thompson, 72, died Jan. 11, 2001, at a local hospital. He was a retired manager. He also served in the Navy.
Mr. Thompson was born Sept. 1, 1928, in Leadville, to Azzie and Elizabeth (Gosage) Thompson, who are deceased.
He was married to Yolanda J. Thompson, who is deceased. He was then married Oct. 6, 1990, to Alma J. Bryer.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Terry L. Howard, Martha K. Savely and Laree J. Schloesser; two step-sons, Kenneth R. Baker and Robert L. Baker; a step-daughter, Karen A. Buckley; three sisters, Avis Sodic, Ruth Brower and Gladys Gird; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Mesa Hills Bible Church, 615 W. Uintah St. Inurnment will be at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Rose Gardens, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597.

ARVIN R. VAN BUREN
Mr. Van Buren, 68, died Jan. 9, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was retired from General Electric after 17 years. He also served in the Air Force for four years.
Mr. Van Buren was born April 20, 1932, in Denver to Earl and Lula (Welch) Van Buren, who are deceased. He was married May 29, 1970, to Sally C. Thomas.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Marvin R. Van Buren Jr., Daniel M. Van Buren, Peter O. Allen and John Paul Allen; four daughters, Jean Marie Johnson, Deborah Sue Dillen, Rebecca van Dorsten and Jennifer Lee Allen; a brother, Herb; two sisters, Bonnie Brown and Crystal Pottinger; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, George Thomas Van Buren; and a brother, Stan.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, with services at 11 a.m., at Mountain View Mortuary, 2350 Montebello Square Drive, 590-8922. Private burial is planned.
HAZEL ALENE WARDE
Mrs. Warde, 83, a former Colorado Springs resident, died Jan.9, 2001, in Aurora. She was a salesperson for a family shoe business.
Mrs. Warde was born June 19, 1917, in Goodson, Mo., to Avis and Nella (Needham) Hawkins, who are deceased. She was married May 28, 1950, to George W. Warde, who is deceased.
She is survived by a daughter, Diana Zielke; a brother, Willis; seven sisters, Faye, Susan, Billie, Betty, Mae, Jane and Jean; and one grandchild.
Niche-side committal will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597, is handling arrangements.

GRACE S. FERNALD
Mrs. Fernald, 95, a Manitou Springs resident, died Jan. 3, 2001, at a local hospital. She was a retired dental hygienist.
Mrs. Fernald was born Feb. 12, 1905, in Istanbul, Turkey. She was married in 1943 to Wesley G. Fernald, who is deceased.
She is survived by two close friends, Penny Austin and Alan Burch.

TABATHA "SISSY" (HENDERSON) WRIGHT
Mrs. Wright, 28, a lifelong Colorado Springs resident, died Jan. 9, 2001, in Colorado Springs as a result of ovarian cancer. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Wright was born Nov. 27, 1972, in Colorado Springs to Frank and Maureen (Greep) Henderson. She was married to Christopher Macik.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Corey Rhodes Henderson and Daniel Karry Henderson; a daughter, Breanna Rae Henderson; her father, Frank H. Henderson; her mother, Maureen Weddle; her step-father, Jerry Weddle; two brothers, Rusty Kirby and Karry Matlock; and four sisters, Leeta Dunbar, Jenifur Henderson, Heather Weddle and Sara Weddle. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Rae Henderson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Dove-Witt Fountain Valley Chapel, 6630 S. U.S. Highway 85/87, Fountain, 390-4906. Entombment will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road.

DENNIS BOUTTE
Mr. Boutte, 46, died Jan. 9, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a bartender.
Mr. Boutte was born Feb. 8, 1954, in Lake Charles, La., to Norman and Betty (Grein) Boutte. His father is deceased. He is survived by his mother; and five brothers, Norman, Lynn, Ronnie, David and Gary.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 414 W. 11th St., Pueblo.

Mrs. Colbert, 92, died Jan. 7, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Colbert was born Feb. 3, 1908, in Red Willow, Alberta, Canada, to Oscar Davison and Isa Parson, who are deceased. She was married May 22, 1929, to John Marion Colbert, who is deceased.
She is survived by three sons, Marion Arthur, Eugene Lee and Harold Allen; a daughter, Martha Dorothy Woodson; two sisters, Nellie Horne and Fern Hamm-Page; 16 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Davison; a sister, Opal Heisz; and two grandchildren, John M. Colbert and Dorothy June Woodson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., 475-8303. Cremation is planned. Inurnment will be at a later date.
MARIE A. (DONOHER) BURGER
Mrs. Burger, 84, died Jan. 6, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Burger was born June 21, 1916, in Leadville to Peter J. Donoher and Elsi Hermann, who are deceased. She was married April 7, 1936, to Albert Marion Burger, who is deceased.
She is survived by a son, James; three daughters, Marie Ann Anderson, Kim German and Belinda Kohl; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Bryant.
A memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 23 at St. Rose of Lima Church, Buena Vista. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Buena Vista.

Mrs. Hoemann, 79, a Colorado Springs resident, died Jan. 8, 2001, in Wheat Ridge. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Hoemann was born June 10, 1921, in Omaha, Neb., to Paul and Elizabeth (Krumm) Niemann, who are deceased. She was married Feb. 1, 1947, to Rudy Hoemann.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Gary and Scott; a daughter, Janet Baumberger; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Osborne, 83, died Jan. 8, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a retired pharmacist.
Mr. Osborne was born May 19, 1917, in Philo, Ohio, to William and Sarah Elizabeth (Dugan) Osborne, who are deceased. He was married Jan. 9, 1943, to Adeline Maes.
He is survived by his wife; a son, James; a daughter, Judith Hartwell; a sister, Violet Jewett; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy; and a sister, Catherine.
Rosary will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, followed by services at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Southgate, 1830 S. Corona St. Colorado Springs Mortuary and Cremation Services, 3475 Astrozon Court, 392-4244, is handling arrangements.
CORA LEE EVANCICH
Mrs. Evancich, 82, died Jan. 8, 2001, in Evergreen. She was a former restaurant owner in Colorado Springs.
Mrs. Evancich was born Jan. 22, 1918, in Milford, Texas, to Joseph and Pearl Kirk, who are deceased. She was married Aug. 28, 1944, to John Evancich, who is deceased.
She is survived by a daughter, Marie Genna; and two sisters, Mary Adler and Dell Fritche. She was preceded in death by a son, John; three brothers, Louie Kirk, Clayton Kirk and Peter Kirk; and two sisters, Jackie Lamb and Lily Lucchese.
Visitations will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608. Memorial Mass will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 565 Marquette Drive, Security. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.
HELEN (BOOTHE) McCABE
Mrs. McCabe, 83, died Jan. 7, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a retired school teacher.
Mrs. McCabe was born May 24. 1917, in Chicago, to Paul and Elsa (White) Boothe, who are deceased. She was married in 1948 to John McCabe, who is deceased.
She is survived by a son, Ian; a daughter, Carrie Stauder; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandchild.
