WILLIAM "BILL" LeVINE
Mr. LeVine, 93, died Jan. 20, 2001, at a local hospital. He was a retired salesman and deputy probation officer.
Mr. LeVine was born Dec. 28, 1907, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Samuel and Rose (Furie) LeVine, who are deceased. He was married Oct. 26, 1930, to Henriette Farb.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Sondra Wolf and Nancy L. Meyers; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry; and a sister, Mary Eisenberg.
Private visitations and services are planned. Interment will be at Shrine of Remembrance "American the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597.

JOSEPH FRANCIS PAL JR.
Mr. Pal, 51, died Jan. 17, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was an auto salesman for Jeep, Chrysler, Plymouth. He also served in the Air Force for four years.
Mr. Pal was born May 31, 1949, in South Bend, Ind., to Aurelia Fekete Pal. He was also born to Joseph P. Pal who is deceased.
He is survived by a son, Aaron J.; two daughters, Carissa Frances and Maggie Mae; his mother; two brothers, Conrad and Gregory; and one grandchild.
Services will be held in South Bend. Services will be held in Colorado Springs at a later date. Cremation is planned. The Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W. Colorado Ave., 634-8831, is handling arrangements.
MABEL R. HICKLE
Mrs. Hickle, 96, died Jan. 20, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Hickle was born Oct. 5, 1904, in Chaseville, Ohio, to Ezra C. and Alice C. (Steele) Finley. She was married Aug. 15, 1934, to Harold N. Hickle, who is deceased.
She is survived by a daughter, Joanne Zinn; a sister, Helen Drumm; and a granddaughter, Sheryl Mayfield.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain View Mortuary, 2350 Montebello Square Drive, 590-8922. Burial will be at Mount Zion Cemetery, Pleasant City, Ohio.

JOSEPHINE A. DESHON
Mrs. Deshon, 88, died Jan. 20, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Deshon was born Dec. 29, 1912, in Turner, Maine, to Arthur and Clara (Haskell) Griffin, who are deceased. She was married Nov. 3, 1930, to Mellen Deshon, who is deceased.
She is survived by two sons, Deane and David; a daughter, Diane Rutherford; a sister, Geraldine Irish; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a grandson.
A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Radiant Church, 4020 Maizeland Road.

JANE LYNCH DENT
Jenny Dent, 88, died Jan. 20, 2001, at Penrose Hospital.
Jenny was born April 14, 1912, in Asheville, N.C., to Stephen A. and Flora Posy Lynch. She was married to Dr. Roy F. Dent Jr., who is deceased.
She will be missed greatly by her daughter, Tina Wittman Kimball, and her son-in-law, Richard C. Kimball, of Hopkinton, N.H. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Jane E. Kimball, of Newnan, Ga., and Barak Scott Kimball, of New York City.
Although her death has saddened us all, her spirit will be within us for an eternity.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at First Presbyterian Church, 219 E. Bijou St.
WAYNE JEFFREY MEADOWS
Mr. Meadows, 51, a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, died Jan. 18, 2001. He was employed as a commodity manager at Echo Star Communications in Denver.
Mr. Meadows was born Sept. 13, 1949, in Valdez to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph U. Meadows. He was married Dec. 3, 1994, to Patricia Arnold-Meadows.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Matthew and Luke; two daughters, Betsy Arnold and Maggie Arnold; his parents; and a sister, Ann.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Swan Law Funeral Directors, Columbine Room, 501 N. Cascade Ave. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 420 N. Nevada Ave.

GLADYS B. (BAY) FRIEND
Mrs. Friend, 89, died Jan. 19, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was the owner/operator of a hotel and a homemaker.
Mrs. Friend was born Nov. 8, 1911, in Hewlett, Wyo., to Elmer and Mary (Brush) Bay, who are deceased.
She is survived by two grandsons, Mark Warren and Scot Warren; a granddaughter, Joy Rosburg; her daughter-in-law, Virginia Peoples; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marlin L. Warren; her second husband, Jesse Friend; a son, Vernon L. Warren; a daughter, Glennis; three brothers; and two sisters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Greenhorn Valley Baptist Church, Rye. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery, Rye.

ANNELORE O. FROEMKE
Mrs. Froemke, 75, died Jan. 18, 2001, at her home in Peyton. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Froemke was born Nov. 13, 1925, in Mannheim, Germany, to Anton L. and Anna Maria (Ernst) Offenlock, who are deceased. She was married Jan. 19, 1950, to George H. Froemke.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Peter; a daughter, Barbara Sparkman; a sister, Bernice McIntosh; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Swan Law Cascade Chapel. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver.

EVA MASTERS SCHANUEL
Mrs. Schanuel, 89, a former Colorado Springs resident, died Jan. 11, 2001, in Sandy, Utah. She was retired.
Mrs. Schanuel was born Nov. 11, 1911, in Cambridge, Ohio, to Edgar G. and Henerita Masters, who are deceased. She was married June 9, 1932, to Walter R. Schanuel, who is deceased.
She is survived by a son, Walt M. of Sandy; two granddaughters, Diana Schanuel of Des Moines, Iowa, and Dana M. Kapinos and her husband, Troy, of Sandy; and a nephew and his wife, Don and Bert Hurd of Colorado Springs.
A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Roswell Community Church, 2728 Beacon St.

DORIS E. (MARQUARDT) FRANKS
Mrs. Franks, 73, died Jan. 15, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a retired music teacher, musician and an active volunteer.
Mrs. Franks was born Feb. 19, 1927, in Norwood, Minn., to William J. and Edith (Keebler) Marquardt, who are deceased. She was married in 1951 to Clifford D. Franks, who is deceased.
She is survived by four sons, William, Jeffrey, Andrew and Clifford "Jack"; a stepson, James; a stepdaughter, Wilma (Franks) Draley; three daughters-in-law, Coleen, Gayle and Debra; a stepson-in-law, William Burgmeier; three brothers, William "Bud" Marquardt, Kenneth Marquardt and Gene Marquardt; two sisters, Martha "Mook" Nowak and Florence (Marquardt) Frances; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two stepdaughters, Rita "Peggy" Burgmeier and Ruth Arth.
Services will be at noon Monday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4125 Constitution Ave. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, St. Paul, Minn. Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900, is handling arrangements.

MILDRED MAE THATCHER
Mrs. Thatcher, 77, died Jan. 14, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Thatcher was born June 1, 1923, in Montcalm County, Mich., to Fred Von Forell and Letha Pearl Shivers, who are deceased. She was married to Vernon Battle Thatcher, who is deceased.
She is survived by two brothers, Robert Stacy and Kenneth J. Von Forell; and a sister, Erma Faye Phillips. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Robert Stacy.
Services were in Denver. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery, 7777 W. 29th St., Denver. Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., 475-8303, handled arrangements.
HOMER M. ROGERS
Mr. Rogers, 83, died Jan. 19, 2001, at his home in Colorado Springs. He was a retired firefighter and worked at the Air Force Academy and Peterson Air Force Base. He served in the 5th Infantry Army during World War II.
Mr. Rogers was born July 24, 1917, in DeQueen, Ark., to T.B. and Ruby (Millwee) Rogers, who are deceased. He was married Jan. 4, 1947, to Ruth Arnold.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Michael of Chandler, Ariz.; a daughter, Carol of Everett, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses. Entombment will be at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum.
