KEVIN RAY LIPP

Kevin Ray Lipp, 38, passed away unexpectedly March 17, 2002 in Colorado Springs. Survived by children, Derek and Ashlie Ray Lipp; parents, Richard and Genevieve Lipp of Pueblo; brother, Kelly (Laura Buckley) Lipp of

Colorado Springs; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In memory of Kevin, donations can be made through the funeral home to the Colorado Boys Ranch. A memorial service was held on March 19 at 6PM, TG McCarthy Rose Chapel.

GARY LOVELESS

Gary Loveless, 50, a native of Colorado Springs, passed away March 16, 2002. He was born on June 3, 1951 to Joe and Lorraine Loveless also of Colorado Springs.

Gary graduated with honors from Wasson High School in 1969 and earned a degree in Economics from the University of Denver in 1973. He was a Business Entrepreneur and Real Estate Investor.

Gary loved Colorado and was a sport enthusiast. He enjoyed most all outdoor sports. He was a very private individual, yet had many friends throughout the community.

He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Gayle and her special Napoleon, Lori and her husband Michael Regan; two nieces, Maddie and Sydney Regan and his two best friends, his German shepherds, Kaiser and Zurich.

Gary Loveless was a true silent humanitarian of decency, sensitivity, caring and giving without fanfare. He will be greatly missed.

Services will be held Saturday March 23, 2002 at Swan Law Funeral Home.

SIDNEY ALLEN LINDBERG

Sidney Allen Lindberg, 74, Colonel (Ret.) United States Air Force died at

home in Colorado Springs on March 19, 2002.

He was born to Emmaline and Allen Lindberg in New Haven, Connecticut. He was married in December 1951, to Susanne Schulz of Wiesboden, Germany. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in December, 2001. During his 30 years of service in the Air Force, they traveled all over the world.

Survivors include his wife Susanne Lindberg; son Mark Lindberg and wife Nancy; grandchildren, Michael Carver, Jonathan Lindberg, Justin Kawecki, David Lindberg, and Blake Wolfe. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta Lindberg Wolfe.

Services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2002 at 1:00 p.m., at Swan Law Funeral Home. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

JOHN BLAIR BURT

John Blair Burt died March 19, 2002, at the age of 63. He was born in New York City and educated at the St. Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire and at Princeton University, Class of 1961. He worked as a chemical engineer for the GAF Corporation, Singmaster & Breyer, and Foster Wheeler before leaving in 1971 to teach mathematics and chemistry at the Gill/St. Bernard's School in Gladstone, New Jersey. He retired from teaching in 1991, and moved from New Jersey to Colorado Springs in 1996.

He is survived by his wife Karen Murphy Burt; three sons, Jonathan of Lebanon, New Jersey, Christopher of Alpharetta, Georgia, Russell of Los Angeles, California; four grandchildren; and a brother, Frederick of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 23, at 3:00 p.m., at First Congregational Church, 20 East St. Vrain, Colorado Springs.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church, 20 East St. Vrain, Colorado Springs, CO. 80903.

RALPH CECERE

Ralph Cecere of Colorado Springs, passed away March 15, 2002, at the age of 84. He was born October 3, 1917, in Brooklyn, NY, to Antonio and Elvira (Barbatella) Cecere.

Mr. Cecere is survived by his loving wife, Matilda (Mannetta) Cecere; his two sons and their wives:Anthony and Brenda J. Cecere, and Michael and Mitzi Cecere; his 4 grandchildren: Christopher, Janeen, Chad, and Sarah Cecere; brother, James Cecere; and sister, Ann Torrese. He was preceded by a brother, August Cecere.

Mr. Cecere was a disabled American Veteran of WWII, serving in the US Armyin the European Theatre of Operation. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. After the war, Mr. Cecere was employed in the New York State courts for 30 years as clerk of the State Supreme Court. He retired in 1980, to Colorado Springs, with his wife, Matilda Mannetta, where his two sons and their wives reside. In Colorado Springs, he volunteered forseveral years with the 4th Judicial District. He was also a parish member of Holy Apostles Catholic Church.

MRS. ADONIA JOHNSON

Mrs. Adonia Johnson departed this earthly life on March 15, 2002, at her home. Mrs. Johnson was born on August 20, 1940 in Carrollton, GA to the late Ray Chivers and Ruth Lee (Scales) Chivers. She leaves behind her husband Charles Johnson and three sisters; Carrie L. Lowe, Callie Davis, and Capernaum Walker. She also has a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Adonia was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary Sunday, March 24, 2002 at 1:00 p.m.

DORIS LOUISE ANDERSEN

Doris L. Andersen passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2002 in Colorado Springs. She was born December 5, 1923 in Limon, CO. She was the youngest of three children born to Virgil and Breta (Hale) Laudeman. She married Harold T. Andersen on November 27, 1946.

Doris was involved in numerous volunteer activities. She was a leader in 4-H clubs at Cherry Valley and a teacher of Sunday School Classes. She enjoyed playing clarinet in high school and continued playing in many community groups.

She attended UCCS and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Accounting in May, 1973. She passed her Certified Public Accountant examinations in November of 1973. She was a practicing CPA in California for 25 years. She was an active member of many Accounting Organizations and President of American Women's Society of Certified Public Accountants, Inland Counties, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jim Laudeman. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Troyer of Simila; her husband, Harold T. Andersen of Colorado Springs; her daughters Nancy Andersen of Colorado Springs; Roxie (John) Stevenson of Greeley; Mitzi Mitchell of Farmington, NM; and her eight grandchildren Angela Wyble; Sage and Tyler Stevenson; Erik, Karena, and Lenae Andersen; Julie and Tony Mitchell.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 24, from 12 to 4 at Blunt Mortuary. Service will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church on Monday, March 25, at 10:00 a.m. Interment is at Evergreen Cemetery.

Education was such a priority in her life, any donations may be sent to University of Colorado Foundation, directed to College of Business, 1420 Austin Bluffs, P.O. Box 7150, Colorado Springs, CO 80933 for a scholarship fund.

JOHN SPENCER ATWOOD

John Spencer Atwood, 89, died March 28, 2002, in Colorado Springs. He was a retired chemical engineer. Mr. Atwood was born November 26, 1912, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to Felix and Maud (Spencer) Atwood who are deceased. He was married April 28, 1937, to Frances F. Haney of Fairmont, West Virginia.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Helen S. Netschert of Colorado Springs; a son, John W. Atwood of Colorado Springs; a sister, Dorothy A. Hinkle of Pensacola, Florida; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Atwood was a 1934 graduate of Yale University. He was on the Yale Crew, a member of the American Society of Chemical Engineers, a member of First United Methodist Church of Colorado Springs, a 20-year volunteer with Silver Key, and a FISH volunteer.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 pm, Tuesday, April 2nd, at Swan-Law Funeral Directors. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at the First United Methodist Church, 420 N. Nevada Ave., Colorado Springs. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery.

VIRGINIA BALDWIN HOSMAN

Virginia Baldwin Hosman, 81 from Lakewood, Colorado passed away on Christmas Eve. She was born on August 18, 1920 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was the daughter of Albert and Mabel Bandel. She graduated from nursing school in California. She married Roy Lee Hosman, CPT, USA (Ret) on July 26, 1941. She was quite active in various organizations and clubs. She belonged to 20 organizations. She was past president of St. Lukes Hospital Auxiliary and past Regent, State Chairman Club, Colorado State Society, National society and past regent of Mt. Lookout Chapter of D.A.R. A tree was planted in her honor by the Mt. Lookout Chapter of the D.A.R.

She also belonged to the Order of Americans of Armorial Ancestry Lineage of Members and the Denver Musicians Society. She was past President Brewster of Scrooby Manor, National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century: Past Governor Colorado Branch, National Society sons and daughters of the Pilgrams: Past State President Colorado Society, daughters of founders and Patriots of America: Past president National Society United States Daughters of 1812. Past Chaplain, National Society Daughters of Colonial Wars: Charter Member, Hereditary Order of the First Families of Massachusetts: Past Chaplain Colorado Society National Society of the Dames of the Court of Honor; Past State President. National Society of New England Women; Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865: National Society Women Descendants of the Ancient & Honorable Artillery Company: Order of Descendants of Colonial Physicians and Chirurgiens: Flagon and Trencher: New England Ancestral Alliance; Fairbanks Family Association; National Society Daughters of the American Colonists: Taft Family Association: Lovell Family Association; State Chairman, National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century; Perpetual Member, Hereditary Society Blue Book.

Virginia was active in music. She sang in various choirs. She especially enjoyed singing in the choir at Grace Episcopal Church and St. John�s Cathedral Choir. She was dramatic, loving, compassionate, beautiful, caring and loved to wear hats. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon and brother Albert Bandel.

GARY W. KENYON JR.

Gary W. Kenyon Jr. 30, died March 28, 2002 in Colorado Springs, CO. He was born September 22, 1971 in Pueblo, CO to Gary W. Kenyon and Dolores Atencio. He is survived by his father, Gary and step-mother, Jacquelyn Elliott-Kenyon, formerly of Monument. His mother preceded him in death.

He is also survived by his sister, Sherry Kenyon and Renee Ander of Colorado Springs; brother Travis Kenyon of Littleton; grandmothers Essie Kenyon of Colorado Springs, Patricia Baltimore of New Mexico and step-grandmother, Edith Kenyon of Anna, TX.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Mary's Cathedral, 22 W. Kiowa, Colorado Springs, CO at 10:30 a.m. Monday April 1, 2002.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, Colorado Springs, CO.

JOHN SPENCER ATWOOD

Born Nov. 26, 1912. Died March 28, 2002.

Retired chemical engineer, 34-year Colorado Springs resident. Survived by his wife, Frances H. Atwood; a son, John; and a daughter, Helen Netschert. ERNEST G. BEALS

Born Dec. 25, 1920. Died March 23, 2002.

Air Force Reserve. Survived by his wife, Nola Beals; and two daughters, Linda Seefeldt and Sherne Alban. Burial, Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Service.

RICHARD S. CARNAHAN SR.

Born Sept. 29, 1927. Died March 27, 2002.

Machinist technician, a Centennial resident. Survived by a son, Richard S. Jr.; and a daughter, Carol T. Turner. Visitation, 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Evergreen Funeral Home. Burial, 10 a.m., Tuesday, Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial services, 11 a.m., Tuesday, Immanuel Lutheran Church, 846 E. Pikes Peak Ave.

MARLYS ANN COOLEY

Born Feb. 20, 1948. Died March 27, 2002.

Homemaker, five-year Colorado Springs resident. Survived by three sons, Dale, Joseph and Chris; and three daughters, Trisha Meek, Theresa Meyer and Alberta "Tisa" Elsasser. Cappadona's Alternative Funeral Service.

THOMAS H. KLAUSING

Thomas H. Klausing, 72, of Colorado Springs, passed away March 26, 2002 at a local hospital.

He was born on July 8, 1929 in Howell, Michigan to Henry and Katherine (Hazelman) Klausing, who are deceased.

He served his country in the US Air Force receiving his honorable discharge. Following his enlistment he worked as a union printer for the Livingston County Press, Denver Post, Sun and Gazette newspapers.

Thomas was married on May 28, 1949 to Wilhelmina M. Cotter. Survivors include his wife of over 50 years; one son Steven; one daughter Christina (husband, Tim) Klausing-Hallmark; eight grandchildren, Leyah, Nate, Kara, Jenny, Jonathon, Austin and Danielle; and one great-granddaughter Fellicia. He was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey; five brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses, with visitation from 1:00 p.m. til 2:00 p.m. prior to the services.

Graveside services with Military Honors will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

HOLLY LYNN HOFMANN REED

Holly Lynn Hofmann Reed, 25, of Claysville, PA, formerly of Colorado Springs, CO died unexpectedly Thursday, March 28, 2002.
She was born August 11, 1976, in Washington, PA, a daughter of Greg C. Hofmann of Lake Mary, FL and Kimberly S. Main Huffman of Claysville.

She was a graduate of Sierra High School, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Surviving in addition to her parents are three sons, Kendrik, Damon and Jacob, all at home, a sister, Melanie Hofmann, of Washington, PA, a brother, Liberty Huffman, of Claysville and her paternal grandmother, Naomi Huffman, of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Arrangements are being handled by Michael H. Heinrich Funeral Home, 219 Main Street, Claysville, PA, 15323.
