Betsy Morehart
Betsy Leann Morehart, 45, of Fort Collins, died Dec. 21, 2008 at Poudre Valley Hospital.
Betsy was born Dec. 20, 1963 in Fort Collins to David Neal Morehart and Evelyn Loraine Smith Morehart.
Betsy was raised in Fort Collins, graduated from Lincoln Junior High School and spent her teen years with her family in Virginia and graduated from high school in Richmond. She was employed as a computer operator. She enjoyed drawing and tv program recording. She loved cats and sending cards. Betsy had an amazing memory.
Survivors include her mother, Evelyn Morehart of Fort Collins; a brother, Mark Morehart and his wife, Sharon of Oregon; two sisters, Kristi Morehart of Fort Collins; and Joy McClure and her husband, Dave of Washington; two nephews; and four nieces.
Preceding Betsy in death is her father.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Sherri Andrew
Sherri K. Andrew, 39, of Walden, died Dec. 26, 2008 at her residence.
Mrs. Andrew was born May 5, 1969 in Loveland to Rodney B. Wyatt and Shirley Risner Thayer.
Sherri married Jeffrey A. Andrew on June 23, 1990 in Shopire, Wisc.
Sherri lived in Walden for the past 10 years. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed snowmobiling, camping in the mountains, fishing, computer activities, and board games.
Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey A. Andrew; two sons, Daniel and Randall Andrew, all of Walden; her father, Rodney B. Wyatt and his wife, Margie of Walden; her mother, Shirley A. Thayer and her husband, Merlin, of Fort. Collins; grandparents, Dave and Grace Risner, of Loveland and Joyce Wyatt of Walden; a brother, Rodney F. Wyatt, of Stagecoach; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Walden Community Church, A private interment will be held at Jackson County Cemetery.

Albert Hodgson
Albert E. Hodgson, 93, of Livermore died Monday, Dec. 29, in Garden Square Assisted Living Center at Westlake, Greeley. Albert was born Feb. 25, 1915, to Earl & Lillie Hodgson in Boulder.
He graduated from the 8th grade at Davidson School. On Oct. 3rd, 1937, he married Annie Linnea Benson in Boulder where they dairy farmed until 1959. He and his family then moved to a ranch at Virginia Dale. They remained there until 1985 when Albert & Linnea moved to a smaller ranch that was closer to town at Owl Canyon.
He was a member to Larimer County Stock Growers Assoc. & Livermore Community Church.
Albert took great pride in just being a common, hard working rancher. He never wanted to be better than others, but wanted to make sure he paid his own way. Growing up through the Depression taught hard lessons never forgot. Branding times, moving cattle cross country, hunting were all special because they were with his family.
Survivors are one son, Albert Lee and his wife, Beverly; one daughter, Linda A. and her husband, Fred; one sister, Mildred Galloway; one sister-in-law, Cleora Hodgson; 10 grandchildren, Denny Hodgson and wife, Debbi, Connie O'Brien and husband, Jack, Sheri Maxwell and husband, Tony, Mark Hodgson and wife, Marla, Tammy Meisner and husband, Mike, Freddy Fangmeier and wife, Debbie, Sandy Rethage and husband, John, Ginger Schmidt and husband, Rich, Sonia Rogers and husband, Scott, and Tonia Teeter and husband, Shane and 18 great grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren.
Albert is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Linnea; daughter, Evelyn Jo Walker; son-in-law, Bill Walker; three infant children; twin sister, Alberta Bell; brother, Lester Hodgson and his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at the Virginia Dale Cemetery. Those who desire may view Mr. Hodgson, from 12 to 7 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.

Dwayne Ervine Stewart
Dwayne Ervine Stewart, 73, left us to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 28, 2008. A lifelong Fort Collins resident, he was born on Dec. 11, 1935 to Ruby (Mansfield) and Ervine Stewart.
A 1953 graduate of Fort Collins High School, he was a top welder and mechanic at the Ideal Cement Company for eight years. He then worked as a mechanic and driver for his father's trucking company, Stewart's Hay and Grain, later Stewart's Trucking. He joined Poudre Fire Authority as a firefighter in 1967. He was promoted to Company Officer, also serving as Training Officer and retired in 1996. After retiring from the Fire Department, he had his own home inspection service. During the '70's, he demonstrated cookware for Miracle Maid, winning two trips to the Bahamas. He married Darlene Lockman in 1954 and they later divorced. He married Shan Nash in Fort Collins in 1967; they divorced in 1993. He then met Phyliss Elliott, who has been his constant companion. They were engaged in 1994.
Stewy or Turbo, as he was called by most of his friends, was a gifted guitar player, having taught himself both electric lead guitar and steel guitar. He played a regular segment on a morning radio program in the 50's. Later, he played with several different country & western groups, including the Wagonmasters and Prairie Smoke. He also enjoyed playing old-time gospel music and was part of a group who traveled to different churches presenting the Lord's music.
In addition to his music he loved to go fishing and camping, especially with his family. He enjoyed puzzles, and trivia, and could often be found at his computer.
Survivors include fiancée, Phyliss Elliott; brother, Dwight Stewart (Karen) of Fort Collins; four children, Cindy Miller, Ginger Stewart, Randy Stewart (Judy) and Erin Branchflower (Chris), all of Fort Collins; grandchildren, Jennie Miller of Arvada, Kylie Stewart, Caden and Ridge Branchflower of Fort Collins; and former spouse, Shan Stewart Meils; Phyllis's family, son, Kendall Elliott (Bobbie) of Windsor, daughter Sherri Ramirez of Fort Collins, grandchildren Jason McDowell (Amaris), Ashlen and Lauren Elliott, Stevan and Evan Ramirez, and great grandchildren Breanne, Aston, and Bailey McDowell. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Darlene Lockman, his parents and his sister, Joyce Peter.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Timberline Church, 2908 Rd, in the South Auditorium. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Heart and Lung Association or the Diabetes Association in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
Owen Bob Steward, Jr.
Owen Bob Steward, Jr., of Fort Collins passed away on Dec. 31, 2008 at Poudre Valley Hospital.
"Bob" was born Dec. 21, 1925, to Owen Bob Steward, Sr., and Margaret Alice Martin Steward in East St. Louis, Ill., He attended Laurel Elementary School, Lincoln Jr. High School and graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1943. Following graduation, he worked as an auto body repairman and painter at Ghent Motors in Fort Collins and later at Dinneen Motors in Cheyenne until 1957. He worked for the Woodward Governor Company full time from December of 1957 until September of 1989 as a supervisor in the Methods Engineering Department. Then he worked part-time at Woodward Governor for five more years. He fully retired from Woodward Governor in 1994.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church since 1963 and served as an usher, and elder, and on various other committees.
Bob had many interests. He loved cars - especially his '55 T-Bird. He enjoyed stock car racing, reading, and local history. He also loved dogs, music and theatrical productions. He was a member of the Larimer County Historical Society and served as treasurer. He had also been on the board of the Pioneer Association.
He married Pearl Ann Maxwell on July 21, 1962. They had three children, Steven Blaine, Robert Bruce, and Shelley Ann Steward. They later divorced.
Bob is survived by his son, Steve Steward of Fort Collins; son-in-law, Bruce Anderson of Plum City, Wisc.; brothers, Hal Steward and his wife, Betty, of San Diego, Calif., William Steward and his wife, Betty, of Fort Collins; and a sister, Imogene Peterson of Fort Collins. Two nephews and their families also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen Bob Steward, Sr., and Margaret A. Steward; his daughter, Shelley Ann Anderson; a son, Robert Bruce Steward; a brother, Ken Steward.

Ethel McMillen/McCurry
Ethel McMillen/McCurry died Jan. 7, 2009 at home in Fort Collins. The eldest of three children, Ethel was born to John R. Watts and Maude R. Ward on Nov. 23, 1914 in Eaton. Ethel grew up in LaSalle where she lived in the back of the county telephone office where her mother worked. She loved school and was always involved in the high school drama club. After graduating from Greeley High School she met Donald L. McMillen at a dance at Lakeside Amusement Park in Denver. From that moment on Donald was her priority. As she put it, "I was much more interested in Donald than I was in school" so she forego college after one year and they were married in 1934 at Donald's brothers home in Gilcrest.
Donald and Ethel soon moved to Hugo for Donald's first job as county extension agent. They then moved to Pagosa Springs for a new job and finally on to Fort Collins in 1937 for Donald's long term position as Larimer County Extension Agent. Ethel spent many hours canning, sewing, baking and gardening while supporting the family's activities. She also worked as an assistant librarian at the original Fort Collins High School for 12 years. They were happily married for 31 years until Donald's death in 1965. In a historical brick home on East Elizabeth they raised three beautiful children, Donald Lewis McMillen II, Thomas Ward McMillen and Ginger Sue Montgomery.
In 1971, Ethel was remarried to Major Milton L. McCurry in Fort Collins where they lived between her East Elizabeth home and Milton's home on Linda Lane. They traveled throughout the United States yearly and made a trip to Scotland to experience their heritage. Ethel and Milton were married for 30 years until Milton's death in 2001.
Ethel was an amazing woman, mother, grandmother and friend. She was very involved with the high school youth group at the First United Presbyterian Church from 1952 to 1957. She also began the bell choir with monies from Donald's memorial and donated again while married to Milton. She remained an active member of the church for over 64 years and regularly attended radio services at the kitchen table once she could no longer drive. She was also very active in 4-H, Girl Scouts, The Triangle Review founded by her son, Don, the Larimer County Fair, Harris School PTO, Bridge Club, a block captain during WWII, welcomed CSU veterinary students into her home and was a charter member of Newcomers Club for over 65 years. An active member of PEO, she served as Chaplain, Treasurer and President of Chapter AL. She was awarded her Golden Girl 50 year pin the day before her death. Ethel was the last surviving member of the Extension Agent Supper Club that was established in 1937 and continued to meet for over 60 years. Ethel made many lifetime friends throughout all of these activities who remained close to her until the very end. Ethel also spent endless hours with her ten grandchildren whom she loved so very much.
Ethel is survived by two of her children, Thomas W. McMillen of Waverly, and Ginger S. Montgomery of Buckeye; as well as her stepson, John (Pat) McCurry of Lusby, Md.; four nieces, Pam (David) Marmon of Waverly, Tedda Watts of Lincoln, Neb., Sharli Watts of Lyons, and Charla (Ed) Putman of Casper, Wyo. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Jennie, Suellen, Ruth Anne, Keli, Don, Patrick, Kristi, Marc, Brandon and Karrie; eight great-grandchildren, Taylor, Sarah, Zachery, Daniel, Kathryn, Natalie, Jacob and Ollie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister, both husbands, son, Donald L. McMillen II and stepson, M. Leigh McCurry.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, 531 S. College. Rev. Richard McDermott will officiate at the service. A celebration of life will be held at 900 East Elizabeth following the service. A visitation will be held Mrs. McCurry from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Bohlender Chapel, 121 West Olive Street.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or Pathways Hospice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
Clinton Hiney
Clinton Matthew Hiney was born on May 31, 1978 in Fort Collins to Doug and Linda Hiney. Tragically, his life was cut short on Jan. 12, 2009.
Clinton spent most of his life in Fort Collins. He had a fantastic sense of humor. It seems that he always had a joke of some kind to tell. Wherever he was he brought joy and laughter to those around him.
He was an avid sports fan and played little league baseball as a boy. His basketball skills were amazing. Even when he was very young he would hit 3-pointers with ease. We would play in our driveway for hours. Clint loved to watch football and was always willing to defend his favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers.
On June 16, 2000 he married Ann Logan and together they had two fantastic sons, Matthew and Ryan. He cherished all three very much and was a kind, patient and loving father.
Clint is survived by his wife, Ann; sons, Matthew and Ryan; parents, Doug and Terri Hiney; brother, Christopher Hiney and his wife, Tera; brother, Nick Dalla; sister, Danielle (Gaschler) and her husband, Jason; nieces, Athena, Linda, Caelan, and Cassidy; nephews, Gage and Evan; grandparents, John Hiney and Viola Hiney; Uncle Rod and Aunt Julie Porter; Uncle Dave and Aunt Kathy Hiney; Uncle Tim and Aunt Gretchen Hennum; Uncle Jim and Aunt Judy Ganzer; cousins, Jake and Josh Johnson, Jackie and Jim Ganzer. As well as many others that he considered his family and were a very important part of his young life.
Clint is now with his mother, Linda, who preceded him in death along with his grandparents, Dick and Margie Porter.
Clinton was a very loving person and will truly be missed. Our lives will never be the same without him.
Funeral services are on Tuesday, January 20th, 1:30 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. A celebration of Clint's life will be held afterwards at the home of his parents.

Clifford Ingraham
Cliff was born in Clinton, Ind., to Clarence Ingraham and Mary Sahm Ingraham on Sept. 18, 1914. The family moved to the Chicago area when he was about twelve. After graduating from high school in 1932 he and his older brother spent a year in Oregon working with the Civilian Conservation Corps. He also spent a year working on a ship on Lake Michigan.
He married Dorothy Wall in 1937. They had three children, Judy, Pete and Dave. The family moved to Fort Collins in 1949. They owned and operated a small bowling alley on Linden Street. He started at Colorado A&M; (now CSU) in 1952 managing the bowling alley in Johnson Hall. He later advanced to the main office and became the facilities director of the Lory Student Center until retiring in 1977.
He and Dorothy divorced in 1971. In May 1972 he married Melanie Sarapu. Melanie died in 1977. He married Norma Smith in October 1987. Norma died in 2008.
Cliff enjoyed golfing and fishing with his two boys. He instilled a love of golf in his sons and grandsons. He liked reading and music. In his late 50's he purchased an organ and took lessons. He was very proud of his home and yard. He thought his yard was "The best in the neighborhood". When he was in his 80's he also entered the 21st century and learned how to use his computer and cell phone.
He is survived by his daughter, Judy Gueswel and her husband, Jim; his daughter in law, Edwina Ingraham; Melanie's girls, Rita Lagerstedt and Anita Otis; and Norma's children, Nancy Fitzgerald (Dennis), Linda Keeton (Jim) and Paul (Liz) Smith. He is also survived by his only remaining sibling, Harold Ingraham (Jeannie); grandchildren, Scott Shockley, Steve Shockley, Stacey Gollobith, Pam Valdez, Peter Ingraham, Beth Culpepper, Ruth Ingraham, Linnea Ingraham and Spencer Ingraham, Tim Gueswel, Carie Gueswel and Dianna Barrett. Also surviving are eleven great grandchildren, the families of Melanie and Norma, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cliff was preceded in death by his two sons, Pete Ingraham and David Ingraham, his great grandson, Brian Shockley; his wives, Dorothy, Melanie and Norma; parents and eight siblings.
A memorial service will be held at the Bohlender Funeral Chapel Monday Jan. 19 at 10 a.m.

Norbert Pirkl
Norbert E. Pirkl, 89, of Pueblo, formerly of Fort Collins, died Jan. 18, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. Pirkl was born Nov. 19, 1919 in Blooming Prairie, Minn. to Joseph Pirkl and Matilda Skalisky Pirkl. Norbert served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Norbert married Juanita F. Malone on Aug. 12, 1945 in Denver.
Mr. Pirkl moved to Fort Collins in 1951 from California. He was an automobile and heavy equipment mechanic and a master craftsman.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita F. Pirkl of Pueblo; his son, Larry Pirkl of Westminster; his daughter, Linda Jackson of Pueblo; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild.
Preceding Norbert in death are his parents; one brother; and one sister.
A Funeral Service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, at 2 p.m. on Friday. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Laverne Johnson
Laverne Johnson, 77, of Fort Collins, moved on to a better place on Sun., Jan. 25, 2009. He was born on June 28, 1931 in Aledo, Ill. He was one of three children born to the late George and Nellie Johnson. He served in the Army and fought in the Korean War.
Laverne married his beloved, late wife on May 3, 1975, in Alexis, Ill. They eventually moved to Fort Collins, and he became a custodian for C.S.U. During his retirement he enjoyed carving wood and visiting their many, many friends. There wasn't too many places you could go where someone didn't recognize him and come over and start a conversation. He was just that well liked.
He is survived by his children Sharon Swanson, Bonnie Johnson-Hines, and Michael Johnson; and his stepchildren, Tim Sobie, Ralph Sobie, Danny Sobie, Larry Sobie, Sandy Melow, John Ester, Sam Ester, & Susan Elshof. He has 21 grandchildren, and 15, going on 16, great grand-kids. He has one brother Lloyd Johnson.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Fri., Jan. 30, 2009, at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St. Ft. Collins, Colorado 80524. Military Honors will be conducted by the Fort Collins All Veterans Honor Guard. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
