Greg Zeigler
Greg Zeigler, died of cancer on Nov. 12, 2008, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. Greg was born June 29, 1956, in Denver to Jeanette and Don Zeigler. After attending Poudre High School in Fort Collins, he served in the US Army and later worked in construction, ranching, and logging. Greg is survived by his three children, Casey (Kara) Zeigler of Castle Rock, Wes Doney/Zeigler (Katie) of Evans, and Cari Harris (Tim) of Frisco, Texas; five grandchildren and sister, Linda Garton (Lewis) and brother, Dick Zeigler (Debbie). A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at Grandview Cemetery.
Frank Daley

Frank Daley of Fort Collins. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Foothills Gateway. Private Interment will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver. Survivors include his friends at Foothills Gateway and Mosaic.
Harold Allen
Harold B. Allen, 92, of Fort Collins lost his courageous fight with lung cancer on Nov. 14, 2008. He was born in Streater, Ill., and lived in Illinois until graduating from high school. He spent most of his adult life in retail business owning grocery and variety stores. He enjoyed traveling and RVing and spent early retirement seeing the U.S.
He married Mildred Whitman in 1936 who survives him. He is also survived by a brother, Lloyd Allen of Largo, Fla.; by daughter, Linda Nelson and husband, Kenneth; by son, H. Brett Allen and wife, Sue; by grandchildren, Gregory Nelson, Kimberly Saum-Nelson, Courtney Allen, Travis Allen, Bartt Allen and their families.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1005 Stover St, Fort Collins, on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008. Interment will immediately follow at the Columbarium at First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to First United Methodist Church or Hospice of Larimer County.
Francis O'Boyle
Francis Joseph O'Boyle, 80, died Nov. 17, 2008 in Fort Collins.
Mr. O'Boyle was born Jan. 18, 1928 in Rochester, N. Y. to John and Mary O'Boyle. Frank served in the United States Army in Japan. He married Betty Moore on Sept. 17, 1949 in Sacred Heart Cathedral in Rochester.
Frank and Betty moved to Fort Collins in 1976 from Rochester. He worked as a Quality Engineer for 39 years at Eastman Kodak, retiring in 1983. He belonged to Fort Collins and Eaton Country Clubs. Frank enjoyed travel and golf, going for many years to Jeckyll Island, Georgia and Green Valley, Ariz.
Survivors include his wife, Betty O'Boyle; four sons, Thomas O'Boyle and his wife, Patricia of Dallas, Robert O'Boyle and his wife, Ruth of Rochester, John O'Boyle and his wife, Tracy of Fort Collins, and Craig O'Boyle of Atlanta; a brother, Alexander O'Boyle of Rochester, 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Preceding Frank in death are his parents; a brother, Harry; and two sisters, Kathleen and Mattie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Father Jacob Chennathu will officiate at the service. A visitation will be held, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.

Elena Maurine Walker
Elena Maurine Walker Tidquist, 67, of Greeley, died November 19, 2008.
Maurine was born December 5, 1940 in Denver, Colorado to Henry Wesley Walker and Margaret Alice Chater Walker.
Maurine lived all her life in Colorado and graduated from Campion Academy in Loveland. She owned and operated the Golden Horn Restaurant at Greeley Producers for 18 years. She loved her dogs, Lacey and Abbey.
Survivors include her daughter, Natalie Hagan of Greeley; two sisters, Gwen Bohlender of Ft. Collins and Iris Langston of Cortez, Colorado; two grandchildren, Jeff and Stephanie of Greeley; two great-grandchildren, Karlee and Jayden, and her special friend, Bill Ducker.
Preceding Maurine in death are her parents, husband, Larry L. Walker, four brothers, Franklin "Brownie, " Bernard, LaVerne, and Russell, and a daughter, DeAnn Walker.
A Graveside Service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Pastor John Martin will officiate at the service.

Carl Hayward
Carl Thorson Hayward, 78, of Fort Collins, died Nov. 29, 2008, at home after a long illness.
Mr. Hayward was born April 21, 1930, in Hyannis, Neb., to Clyde Hayward and Myrtle Thorson Hayward. He grew up on the family ranch and graduated from the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture at Curtis in 1948. He then graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1952 with a B S degree in Agriculture. He was president of Delta Chi Fraternity. He later did his graduate work in Economics.
Carl married Carol R. Farmer on May 25, 1952 in Ashland, Neb. He and his family moved to Fort Collins in 1966. Carl was an insurance claim adjuster and he owned and managed McMillan Claim Service until his retirement in 1983.
Survivors include his wife, Carol R. Hayward of Fort Collins; two daughters, Ann (David) Miranda of Covina, Calif., and Kay (Steven) Cramer of Lodi, Wisc.; a son, Mark Hayward of Wellington; a brother, Merle (Della) Hayward of Hyannis, Neb.; a sister, Kay (James) Soliday of Tigard, Ore.; and five grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7th at Hyannis Cemetery in Hyannis, Neb.

Victor Schilling
We celebrate the life and love of Victor Schilling, who entered eternal life on Dec. 2. He is survived by Lila, his wife of 61 years, and his five children: daughter, Marcia Wood and husband, Ken, of Colorado Springs; son, Tim Schilling and wife, Bonnie, of Windsor; daughter, Susan Merrick and husband, Garth, of Amarillo, Texas; daughter, Sara Everitt and husband, Stan, of Windsor; and daughter, Polly Hays and husband, John, of Hereford, Texas. He is also survived by his sister, Florence Otzenberger; twelve grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Alexander, a farmer, and Eva, a cleaning lady and an infant brother.
A proud Colorado native, Vic was born in Wellington on June 2, 1925, and baptized at the Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was an avid wrestler, and football player at Fort Collins High School. He graduated in 1943 and turned down a scholarship at The University of Oklahoma to enlist in the Navy during World War II. An electricians mate first class aboard an LST, he participated in Operations Torch and Overlord, and was at Omaha beach on June 6, 1944 (D-Day).
After the war he worked briefly in the oilfields of Wyoming and then returned to Fort Collins to marry Lila and raise a family. He started a tree trimming business with his brother-in-law and then worked for the City of Fort Collins Light and Power for 23 years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed golf and bowling, and had two 300 games to his credit.
As a child of the Depression and a veteran of World War II, Vic was no stranger to adversity, but his greatest struggle was to come later in life when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1992. He fought it valiantly to the end. While it eventually claimed his body it never dented his spirit, and he died, appropriately, in the arms of his family last Tuesday afternoon.
There are many things that made Vic special to us: his sense of humor, kindness, strength, work ethic, and gentle nature. He led a full and rewarding spiritual life. But most of all, as a member of that Greatest Generation, he left us the example of a life well lived; the good name that comes from keeping your word and doing your best. There is no greater gift he could have given us.
Services will be held at King of Glory Lutheran Church 2919 N. Wilson Ave. Loveland, Colorado 80538-2461 on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. A private family graveside service with military honors by the Fort Collins Honor Guard will be held on Friday, Dec. 5. Those who desire may view Mr. Schilling, Thursday, 12 to 4 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Stefonie Hutchinson
Stefonie A. Hutchinson, 88, of Fort Collins died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008.
Stefonie was born to first-generation Polish immigrants Rudolf and Pauline Grabowski on Jan. 17, 1920, in a sod house on a homestead near Richey, Mont. After graduating from Richey High School, she became a bookkeeper for the McKesson-Robbins Drug Store chain in Billings, Mont.
In Sept. 1939, she married Paul Hutchinson of Billings. In 1946, after Paul had served as a pilot in World War II, they settled in Fort Collins. Their long life of building a family together lasted until Paul's death in 2002.
Stefonie approached life with tremendous enthusiasm and zest. She relished challenges, and applied her keen intelligence and pioneering spirit throughout her life.
Even before her marriage, she quickly mastered McKesson-Robbins' then state-of-the-art system of mechanical bookkeeping machines and became a department head-unusual for a woman in those years.
In the early 1950s, Stefonie was very active in the Fort Collins Toastmistresses (at that time, the female-only branch of Toastmasters International). Stefonie also pioneered as a woman in what was then nearly an all-male profession when she became a licensed Realtor for the Moore Realty in Fort Collins. Her successes in real estate continued through the 1970s, when she was associated with Loveland's Country Club Estates.
Stefonie shared her husband's zeal for community service, and was very active for decades in the Fort Collins Lions Club. Paul served as Lion's president in 1981, and Stefonie is still carried as an Honorary Spouse Member.
One of Stefonie's greatest passions was bridge. She became a champion bridge player, and once competed in a national tournament with the famous Charles H. Goren, world champion bridge player and best selling author. Stefonie crowned her successes with a Life Master Certificate from the American Contract Bridge League. She has left her descendents a closet full of bridge trophies.
Even in her retirement years, Stefonie was an entrepreneur. She launched a resume business from her home, and specialized in creating resumes for Colorado State University graduates.
Throughout her life, Stefonie balanced her many interests and careers well, and was a loving mother, homemaker, and a superb cook.
Survivors include her son, Doug Hutchinson, mayor of Fort Collins, and his wife Cathy; her twin daughters, Carmen Crowley and her husband Bill of Monument, and Carol Stokes and her husband Lowell of North Ogden, Utah. Stefonie has five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 2000 Stover in Fort Collins.

Howard Lindholm
Howard B. Lindholm, 83 of Fort Collins passed away Dec. 7.
He was born April 25, 1925 in Wichita, Kan. He grew up on a farm near Cheney, Kan., attended high school in Cheney, and went on to graduate from Kansas State University with a degree in Agriculture and Animal Science in 1949. He met Lorine Fieser at KSU and they were married June 6 of 1948. Howard and Lorine were blessed with 60 years together and celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary with family in June. After they were married, he taught Veterans Farm Training in the Cheney area for five years. He moved to Fort Collins in 1954 to pursue a Masters degree in Animal Genetics at CSU, graduating in 1957. Howard worked with a U.S. Aid project through CSU to help establish an agricultural college in Pakistan from 1959-1963. After returning from Pakistan and working a short time at Woodward Governor he farmed North West of Fort Collins raising hogs and chickens. He operated the Big Willow Poultry Farm from 1969-80. He was active as a 4-H leader with his four children for 15 yrs. and was also very active with the Larirner County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife, Lorine; daughter, Charlotte of Oregon; son, Wayne and wife, Linda of California; son, Dale and wife, Connie of Fort Collins; and daughter, Marcia and husband, Russ Rhoads also of Fort Collins; and eight grandchildren. Howard is also survived by seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15th at First Baptist Church, 900 E. Prospect where they have been long time members, Godly examples and faithful servants. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
Caroline Phelan-Jones
Caroline Heller Phelan-Jones passed away Dec. 13 in Fort Collins.
Caroline was born Oct. 6, 1992 in Rolla, Mo., to David Sanford Jones and Jane Parker Phelan. Caroline was a sophomore at Poudre High School in the International Baccalaureate program. She was a talented athlete, playing soccer for the Fort Collins Arsenal and PHS Impala teams.
Caroline is survived by her parents; and her younger sister, Savanna, of Fort Collins; grandfather, Sanford Jones and wife, Judy; grandmother, Martha Braden; grandfather, Richard Phelan and wife, Barbara; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Caroline was preceded in death by her grandmother, Carol Phelan; and her great-grandmother, Mary Heller.
Caroline's infectious smile and passion for so many things in life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. While the passing of this beautiful child fills us with sorrow, we should be reminded to celebrate the happiness and share the joy that Caroline brought to each of our lives.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17 at The First United Methodist Church, 1005 Stover St., Fort Collins. A reception will follow the service.

Isabelle "Judy" Arnold
Isabelle "Judy" Arnold of Fort Collins passed away Dec. 18.
A family service was held for her on Dec. 23. Judy was born July 27, 1913, to Belva and Richard Judkins in Carlsbad, N. M. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; and son, Chad.
She lived for the past several years at the Sterling House in Loveland. Judy earned an R.N. degree and was a proud member of the first graduating class of Stewardesses for TWA Airlines when a stewardess had to be an R.N. and under 5'5".
Judy is survived by her nephew, Ed Judkins of Albuquerque, N. M.; and her niece, Linda Foster of Roswell, N. M.
Her friends and acquaintances are invited to share Judy's life story at 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 11, 2009 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
Deborah Wadena
Our good friend, sister and leader in the community Deborah Ann Wadena was born on April 27th, 1953 in Sioux City, Iowa. She attended Colorado State University and graduated in 1994. As you may know she battled diabetes for many years and underwent two leg amputations and numerous surgeries. She currently lived and passed away on Dec. 22, 2008, in Fort Collins. She was a devoted Latter Day Saint and was proud of her Omaha/Winnebago heritage and was always proud to see her siblings, her children, nephews and nieces and the entire grandchildren dance and participate in their culture. Deborah leaves behind two daughters, Gina and Candis; one son, Jorge and four grandchildren. She also leaves behind her mom, Audrey; siblings, Tom, Kelly and Terri who live here and Kirby who lives in Minnesota. Also preceding before her is her father, Thomas Wadena and brother, Timothy Wadena. The funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday Dec. 29th at the LDS church at 1400 Lynwood Street.
