Dorothy Mae KNAPP
Dorothy Mae KNAPP, 71, of Loveland, formerly of Jefferson City, Mo., died Dec. 30, 2006, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
She was born June 13, 1935, in Nampa, Idaho, to Walter and Dora Peters Tester. She was a graduate of Loveland High School and earned a bachelor's degree in education from Kansas City College and Bible School in Overland Park, Kan.
She served in education for more than 30 years. She was an elementary teacher at Eugene Cole R-V and New Bloomfield Elementary. After earning a master's degree in counseling from Lincoln University, she served as a high school counselor at School of the Osage.
After retiring from public education she went on to receive two additional master's degrees from Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, one in divinity and one in Christian education. She was nearing completion of her doctor of divinity degree.
She then served as Minister of Pastoral Care at First Church of the Nazarene in Kansas City, where she also taught divorce recovery classes and participated in a work and witness mission in Quito, Ecuador. In 2004, she became an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene in the Kansas City District.
She was a founding member and past board member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Jefferson City, where she played the piano and organ. She also was a past member of the Eldon Church of the Nazarene, Camdenton Church of the Nazarene and the First Church of the Nazarene in Kansas City. At the time of her death she was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Loveland.
She enjoyed reading, counseling, furthering her education, traveling and helping others. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Knapp and companion Linda of Tebbetts, Mo., and David Knapp and wife Jeanetta of Lebanon, Mo.; one sister, Lenora Taylor; two brothers: Leon Tester and Leonard Tester; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Tester.
A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Loveland Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Jim Lynch officiating.

Norma L. LINDHOLM
Norma L. LINDHOLM, 82, of Loveland, died Jan. 14, 2007, at North Shore Health Care Facility in Loveland.
She was born March 28, 1924, in Stratton, to Julius and Anne Rasmussen, the youngest of 10 children. She lived in Stratton until 1947 and attended school there. In 1947, she moved to Burlington with her husband, Hap Bartholomew and family. They had three children. In 1954, she married Carl Lindholm. She was married to Carl until his death in 1966. In 1969, she married Darold Lindholm. He preceded her in death in 1994.
She worked as an licensed practical nurse for more than 30 years, both at The Kit Carson Memorial Hospital and at The Grace Manor Nursing Home in Burlington until her retirement in 1984.
After her retirement she continued to be a caregiver for many families in the Burlington area until she retired again at the age of 77.
In 2002, she moved from Burlington to Loveland, where she lived with her youngest son, Bart Bartholomew, and his wife, Dot.
Norma had a wealth of friends in Burlington and made friends easily throughout her life. She also had many friends in Loveland at Trinity Lutheran Church and in the Faith Circle Friendship Club where she was a member.
She was a longtime member of the Bethel Assembly Church in Burlington and when she moved to Loveland she became a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by three children, Leroy (Nelda) Bartholomew of Amarillo, Texas, Deanna Ball of Loveland, and Marvin 'Bart' (Dot) Bartholomew of Loveland; three brothers, Julian (Lily) Rasmussen of Julesburg, Milford (Val) Rasmussen of Lamar, and Ralph (Ruby) Rasmussen of Barstow, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by several siblings, sister, Roma, who died as an infant, sisters, Amanda Henderson, Violet Seba, Sylvia Bennett, and Freida Sheen, and brother, Orval Rasmussen.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Loveland, with funeral and burial following on Thursday Jan. 18, 2007, at the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Burlington.
A memorial fund has been set up in Norma L. Lindholm's name at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loveland, and at the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Burlington.
Joseph MARTORANO Sr.
Joseph MARTORANO Sr., 91, of Loveland and formerly of Trinidad, died Jan. 9, 2007, at Loveland Good Samaritan.
He was born Dec. 21, 1915, in Sopris, Colo., to Bernardo Martorano and Josephine Mazzarese Martorano and graduated from Sopris High School in 1934.
He married Rose Marie Ferraro on Jan. 4, 1941, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Trinidad.
He was a veteran of World War II and served in the 1050th Army Air Force Base Unit from 1942 to 1945.
He was employed by the Valdez and Allen mines and then as a foreman for Las Animas County Road and Bridge before retiring in 1980.
Mr. Martorano played baseball competitively with many teams throughout several counties.
He was even offered the opportunity to try out with the Chicago White Sox.
He was a baseball coach for American Legion Baseball for several years and coached the Trinidad Catholic High School baseball team for a few years. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He was a member of the Redmen's Lodge and UMWA for many years. He was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
He moved to Loveland in July of 2006 to be closer to family.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rose; son, Joseph Martorano Jr. and wife Sharon; three daughters, Carolyn
Frenchmore, Shirley Brunelli and husband William and Nancy Barron and husband Richard; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Salvatore Martorano and Charles Martorano and Mary Rose; two sisters, Angela
Bergant and husband John and Antoinette Weston and husband Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son-in-law Ray Frenchmore; brother Mike Martorano; sisters, Carmela Zgut-Stimack, Mary Zanotelli and Ann Macchietto, sister-in-law Ruth Martorano and nephew John Luke Bergant.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Trinidad.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Holy Trinity Academy or Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Charles A. MYERS
Charles A. MYERS, 56, of Fort Collins, formerly of Loveland, died Jan. 12, 2007, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins.
Charles Alan Myers was born Feb. 26, 1950, in Giessen, Germany, to Charles William Myers and Shirley Muriel (Rosoff) Myers.
He graduated from high school in Alexandria, Va., and later received a bachelor's degree in solar engineering from the University of Wyoming at Laramie.
Known to friends as 'C.A.' and 'Speedy, Mr. Myers enlisted in the U.S. Army and attained the rank of sergeant before his discharge in 1977 at Fort Carson in Colorado.
After his military service, he stayed in Colorado, living in Arvada, Fort Collins and Loveland. He married Billie Ann Baker on Nov. 12, 1992, at First Christian Church in Loveland.
He enjoyed fly-fishing, traveling, skiing, hiking and bicycling.
He is survived by his wife, Billie of Fort Collins; a daughter, Stephanie Anderson of Denver; his mother, Shirley Myers of Fort Collins; his stepmother, Pat Myers; and his sister, Jennifer Crowe of Huntsville, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his father, an aunt and an uncle.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Christian Church in Loveland.

Louis W. REFIOR
Louis W. REFIOR, 58, of Loveland died Jan. 10, 2007, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
He was born Oct. 3, 1948, in Lexington, Neb., to Gerald and Oma Smith Refior.
He graduated from Brush High School in 1966 and had two years of vocational technology training in electronics.
Mr. Refior married Valeria Weber on May 17, 1969.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1969. He moved from Fort Morgan to Loveland in 1969.
He worked in the heating and air conditioning fields, then in metal fabrication at Flash Masters in Berthoud. He enjoyed eagle collectibles and gardening.
Mr. Refior is survived by his wife, Valeria Refior; his mother, Oma Refior; one brother; one sister and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Refior.
The funeral service is at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home, with Chaplain Bruce Rippe officiating.
Cremation has been conducted. A private inurnment will take place at a later date.

Mary Lena ROMAN
Mary Lena ROMAN, 43, of Loveland died Jan. 12, 2007, at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood.
She was born Nov. 8, 1963, to Charles and Christine Brigida Roman at Torrejon Air Base in Madrid, Spain.
She moved to Loveland from Portsmouth, N.H., in June 1997.
Ms. Roman earned her bachelor's degree in accounting and education and had a master's degree in education from the University of Northern Colorado.
She worked as a schoolteacher and most recently as an assistant manager at Schmidt's Bakery and Deli.
She was a member of the Gamma Chi chapter of ESA and several educational organizations.
Ms. Roman was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She had many interests in life, and two of her passions were her dog, Callie, and her work with children.
She is survived by her mother, Christine Roman of Loveland; her brother, Charles Roman of Niwot; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life reception will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Schmidt's Bakery and Deli, 808 S.W. 14th St. in Loveland.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice in Mary Roman's name.

STOCKTON, Kimberly C.
Kimberly C. STOCKTON, 17, went on to be with God and Grandma and Papa who also recently passed on.
She is survived by her parents, Donna and Troy; two sisters, Sheila and Karly; and her home care nurses, Shelley, Kathy, Colleen and Sandy.
She taught us all so much in her short time here, and we will all miss her very sweet spirit.
We thank God she now has peace and is no longer in pain.
Freda 'Charlene' Davis WHITE
Charlene was born to Orman Lester Davis and Edna Iola May Riley Davis on Aug. 13, 1932, in Worth County, Grant City, Mo.
In 1942, the family moved to Fairview, Kan., where Charlene worked in a cafe' with her mother. At this time she met Shirley Gene White and was married Feb. 2, 1948.
The newlyweds moved to Auburn, Neb., and then on to Berthoud, Colo. During the union, the couple had six children: Carlette May, Perry Eugene, Orman Lee, Alvin Keath, Cindy Lavonne and Jimmie Dean.
Charlene was baptized at the Evangelical United Baptist Church in Loveland along with her children.
Charlene loved little babies and animals of all kinds. She was involved in Rebekah Lodge and helped with the Boy Scouts. She loved working with others and enjoyed flowers in the spring and snow in the winter. She believed in God and was very faithful to her family and her prayers.
Charlene moved to Greeley in 1990 and worked for a few more years. Upon retiring, she enjoyed doing the things she loved most and being with those she cared about. In addition to raising her granddaughters Erica and Annee, she enjoyed teaching quilting lessons, doing sewing for others and crocheting afghans.
In 2001, Charlene was diagnosed with cancer in the heart. At this time she only thought of her children and their needs. Charlene loved her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her only sister, Ramona Lavonne Davis Lippoldt; her parents, Orman and Edna Davis; two grandchildren; and Emma Davis, her sister-in-law.
Surviving is one brother, Jimmie Dale Davis; Charlene's six children; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren, with two more expected in the spring.
A funeral service to celebrate Charlene's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Ave. in Evans. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Berthoud.

Alan Charles WIMMER
Alan Charles WIMMER, 55, of LaPorte passed away Jan. 6, 2007.
He was born Aug. 7, 1951, in Summit, N.J. He was an excellent craftsman, a watchdog for our world, and will be missed by many.
Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Shirley Wimmer.
Alan will always be remembered by his wife, Tara McGuire; son, Sean Waters; daughter, Bless Burke; brother, Mark Wimmer; and sister, Sandra Pernie; as well as his lifelong friends.
