Glen D. 'Bud' DIX
Glen D. 'Bud' DIX, 94, of Loveland died Jan. 15, 2007. He was born Sept. 16, 1912.
His family moved to Fort Collins in 1914.
Mr. Dix was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel I. Dix (Stout).
He is survived by his son, Dallas Dix; his daughter, Debra Felker; four grandchildren; and many other extended family members.
Funeral services have been held.
Goes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Norma Jeanne FRENCH
Norma Jeanne FRENCH, age 85, of Greeley, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at her home.
For all those who knew her, she always had a smile and kind words. Her life was filled with joy from her family and friends.
She was born July 5, 1921, in Barnes, Kan., and lived in Fairbury, Neb., through high school. Her family worked in Estes Park and then moved to Greeley. There she met Don French. They married in 1942 and have been celebrating their life together 65 years.
Her careers included working at the telephone company, 27 years as a dental assistant, and several years at Erickson's Flowers. Her numerous volunteer activities included delivering Meals on Wheels, helping at Greeley hospital, Centennial Village tour guide, Jayceettes, giving eye screenings at various elementary schools for Lions Club, Church Vestry, Women's Auxiliary and Altar Guild at Trinity Episcopal Church, and PEO president for Chapter BE. She was gifted at cooking, painting, ceramics, sewing, playing the piano, floral and home design.
Norma Jeanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to sharing the lives of her three sons and their wives (who were the daughters she always wanted), her life was filled with cherished moments with her two granddaughters and three great-granddaughters.
She is survived by her husband, Don; sons, Steve and wife Mary Kay of Denver, Dave and wife Linda of Loveland, Doug and wife Mary of Denver; granddaughters, Elisha Price and husband DJ of Greeley, Jaclyn Wilmot and husband Aaron of Denver; and three great-granddaughters, Jazzmyn and Mckayla Price, and Zionna Wilmot.
A memorial service with reception will be held in her honor 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3800 W. 20th St., Greeley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in the name of Norma Jeanne French may be given to Hospice of Northern Colorado or PEO Chapter BE in care of Adamson Funeral Home, 827 Fifth St., Greeley, CO 80631.
Roy Elton HUTCHINSON
Roy Elton HUTCHINSON, 79, of Loveland died Jan. 18, 2007, at Sierra Vista Health Care Center in Loveland.
He was born April 19, 1927, in Denver to Roy and Elva Hutchinson.
He married Margaret Forth on June 14, 1953.
Mr. Hutchinson graduated from Loveland High School. He served in the Army Air Forces from 1945 to 1947 and was honorably discharged. He studied mechanical engineering at Colorado A&M; (now Colorado State University). He received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Denver and a master of arts degree in business from the University of Northern Colorado. He continued his studies in accounting at Colorado State University.
Mr. Hutchinson was a junior member of the firm A.A. and E.B. Jones Building Contractors in Denver from 1951 to 1953. After moving to Loveland in 1953, he worked in the floor covering business. In 1966, he joined Reed-Stevens Music Co. in Fort Collins. As part owner, he served in a managerial capacity. He served as an accountant for Kruchlen and Magnuson, certified public accountants in Fort Collins. He did accounting and bookkeeping for Rocky Mountain Concrete Co. in Estes Park.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Hutchinson; a daughter, Debra Dee Adams and husband Jay of Loveland; brother-in-law George Wagenbach of Loveland; two nieces; one nephew; one great-niece; and two great-nephews.
Mr. Hutchinson was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Wagenbach.
Cremation has been conducted.
There will be a private family gathering.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of the donor's choice.

Esther Mae KELLEY
Esther Mae KELLEY of Loveland, formerly of Berthoud, passed away Jan. 18, 2007, at North Shore Health Care. She was 88.
Esther was born Jan. 24, 1918, in McCluskey, N.D., to Frederick and Elizabeth (Schindler) Wagner. She married Floyd Kelley on April 9, 1942, in Sioux Falls, S.D.
She was a wonderful cook. As a little girl, she lived on a farm in North Dakota. Esther rode a horse to school and used a horse-drawn sleigh in the winters.
She was a member of the South Dakota Restaurant Association and Women of the Moose Lodge in Fort Pierre, S.D. Esther moved to Fort Pierre, S.D., in 1942 and was in the restaurant business, owning Kelley's Highway Cafe' in Fort Pierre, S.D., from 1957 to 1969.
She lived in Richfield, Minn., from 1972 to 1987, then moved to Canton, Mich. In 1990 she moved to Berthoud.
Esther was a certified American Red Cross volunteer from the 1940s to the 1970s, and a longtime volunteer at the Berthoud Senior Center.
She worked as a waitress starting at 12 years of age in Bismarck, Sioux Falls, Pierre and Bloomington, Minn., at the Marriott until the age of 66.
She leaves behind family and friends including the entire Flom family, and those at the Hamilton Apartments.
She is survived by her daughter, Patrice Kelley of Loveland; very close friend, Clifford Flom of Northglenn; foster daughter, Linda Rauen of Minnetonka, Minn.; grandchildren: James Flom of San Francisco, Calif., Ginny Villers of Fort Collins, Matthew Flom of San Antonio, Texas, Alex Flom of Fort Collins, Lauri Ann Jahmke of Burnsville, Minn., and Jerry Bassett of South Dakota. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd in 1975, and granddaughter Sara Flom in 2005.
A funeral service for Esther will be held 11 a.m. today at First Presbyterian Church in Berthoud, with an interment to follow at a later date in Forest Hill Cemetery, Northome, Minn.

Robert Ned LOHR
Robert Ned LOHR, a great American, on Sat., Nov. 18, 2006, went home to join all of the saints who from their labors rest. Mr. Lohr passed away at the age of 80 in Amarillo, Texas.
Mr. Lohr was a man whose love of family, church and country was manifested in countless ways simple and profound. He matched that love with an abiding dedication to service, to his nation as a Navy seaman during World War II, then to his family as a constant example of steadfast loyalty, to his career as a longtime employee in the sugar refining industry, and to his community through the American Legion, the Lions Club and Toastmasters.
Born in Loveland, Colo., on Dec. 2, 1925, Mr. Lohr graduated from Loveland High School in 1943 and immediately joined the U.S. Navy with friends Hector Wilson and Gene Gano. After shipping out from Bremerton, Wash., he served in the Pacific theater, at Pearl Harbor and Guadalcanal, repairing Navy fighter planes aboard an aircraft carrier.
After completing his Navy service in 1946, Mr. Lohr married Carol Jean Rogers on June 23, 1946, in Estes Park, Colo.
Mr. Lohr was a 23-year employee of Great Western Sugar, in Loveland, and later in Hereford, Texas, and Presque Isle, Maine. He and Carol retired in Hereford, moved to El Paso, Texas, in 1989, and then to Amarillo in 1999.
He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Hereford, was twice commander of the American Legion, president of Toastmasters and a devoted Lions Club member.
Bob Lohr leaves a legacy of unconditional love, unwavering support, deep patriotism, a robust sense of humor and a strong confidence in his own ability to find and follow the right path.
He was survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol Jean; son John, Amarillo, Texas; daughter Lynda, Vancouver, Wash.; sister Betty Nunn of Kremmling, Colo.; brother Bert Lohr of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; and five grandchildren.

Carol Jean LOHR
Carol Jean LOHR, a woman of great courage and unwavering faith, spent her first Christmas with Jesus this year. Mrs. Lohr passed away after a long illness on Christmas Eve in Amarillo, Texas, at the age of 78. She joined her husband of 60 years, Robert Lohr, who passed away five weeks earlier on Nov. 18, 2006.
Carol was born July 27, 1928, in Steamboat Springs, Colo. Her parents were John. W.C. and Dollie Mae Rogers. As a child she lived in Colorado, New Mexico and Washington state, traveling with her mother and father, a road construction engineer.
Carol graduated from Loveland (Colo.) High School on May 30, 1946. She married Bob Lohr, her high school sweetheart, on June 23, 1946, in Estes Park, Colo. They raised their two children in Loveland until 1964, when they moved to Hereford, Texas. There, Carol completed licensed vocational nurse training and became a nurse. Since 1994 she lived in Amarillo, Texas.
Hospitality and generosity were two of Carol's many gifts. A gracious hostess, Carol regularly opened her home to family, friends, and even to strangers who had nowhere else to go. This was her ministry: to serve others.
In 2006, Carol gave each of her loved ones a unique Christmas gift: her reminder that the best gifts are not waiting around the Christmas tree, but sitting around the Christmas table, sharing God's love. 'Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights' (James 1:17).
Carol is survived by son John Lohr of Amarillo, daughter Lynda Laird of Vancouver, Wash., and five grandchildren.

Thomas J. LUTZ
Thomas J. LUTZ, 73, of Loveland, died Jan. 19, 2007, at University Hospital in Denver.
He was born Oct. 25, 1933, in Canton, Ohio, to Earnest Hickman and Dallas Rose (Cobb) Lutz. He graduated from Minerva High School in Minerva, Ohio. He then graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in chemical engineering. Tom later attended the University of Colorado, working towards his doctorate.
On Feb. 15, 1953, he married Patricia Ann Ramser in New Franklin, Ohio.
Mr. Lutz worked for Emery Industries in Cincinnati while attending school. He then went to work for IBM in Lexington, Ky., later transferring to Boulder, working there until his retirement in 1991. He later worked for a brief time for Lexmark in Boulder.
Tom was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Loveland, and was previously a member of First United Methodist Church in Longmont. He was also a member of the Loveland Connection.
He enjoyed classical music and liked playing the piano. He also enjoyed playing bridge and gardening. Tom enjoyed hiking and traveling with his wife, Pat.
Mr. Lutz is survived by his wife, Patricia Lutz of Loveland; daughters, Cheri Waneka and husband Jerry of Loveland, and Susan Staley and husband Royce of Loveland; brothers, Mark Lutz and wife Betty of Minerva, Ohio, Dallas Lutz and wife Heidi of Melbourne, Fla., Otis Lutz and wife Linda of Melbourne, Fla.; sisters, Rosemary Vandegrift and husband Leroy of Canton, Ohio, Patricia Miller of Minerva, Ohio, and Malinda Phillips and husband Richard of Kensington, Ohio; sister-in-law, Grace Lutz of Minerva, Ohio; and grandchildren, Tyler Waneka, Trent Waneka, Lucy Waneka, Troy Waneka, Ariel Maes and Dillon Allen, all of Loveland.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Christopher Lutz; and one brother, Earnest Lutz.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at First United Methodist Church in Loveland with the Rev. Olon Lindemood officiating. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be held at Foothills Gardens of Memory at a later date.

Edna Floy MANNERING
Edna Floy MANNERING, 90, of Loveland, formerly of Decatur, Ill., died on Jan. 19, 2007, at North Shore Health Care Facility in Loveland, where she had lived for the past five years.
Mrs. Mannering was born March 28, 1916, in Decatur, daughter of Floyd and Clara Starks Lukey.
She graduated from Stephen Decatur High School and Brown's Business College.
She married Davis Oakes Mannering on Sept. 19, 1938, in Decatur.
Mrs. Mannering was a vice president of insurance for C.N. Gorham & Son Inc., and then for Millikin Mortgage Co. until she retired in 1978. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and Lambda Tau Delta sorority, and served as president of Insurance Women of Decatur.
She is survived by a daughter, Kay Mannering Gesell of Decatur, Ill.; a son, Doug Mannering and his wife, Lynette, of Loveland; a brother, William Lukey and wife Joann of Prescott, Ariz.; grandchildren, Christina Amick of Cumming, Ga., Jon Gesell of Monticello, Ga., Mandie Hoehne of Colorado Springs, and Jared Mannering of Windsor; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son and one brother.
Graveside services will be in Greenwood Cemetery in the Oakes family plot in Decatur. A reception will follow at Westminster Presbyterian.
Dawson and Wikoff are in charge of arrangements in Decatur, with Kibbey-Fishburn making Colorado arrangements.

Marjorie Jane Welch McGREGOR
Marjorie Jane Welch McGREGOR, 83, longtime resident of Loveland, died Jan. 12, 2007.
She was born June 20, 1923, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the second of nine children born to Jesse Evard Welch and Pearl Snow Welch. The Welch family moved to the the Los Angeles, Calif., area in 1931, and she graduated from Huntington Park High School in 1941.
She joined the Navy WAVES and served from 1944 to 1946 during World War II. From 1951 to 1953, she served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in France, Switzerland and Belgium.
In 1953, she married her college sweetheart, Jim McGregor, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They raised their three sons in California, then moved to Loveland until retirement and later moved closer to family in the Denver area.
Mrs. McGregor and her husband lived in Loveland from 1981 to 2001, where Mr. McGregor owned several dry cleaning establishments, including Leslie the Cleaner.
Her hobbies included decorating cakes, sewing, singing, playing the organ, swimming and making scrapbooks.
Mrs. McGregor is survived by her two sons, Jim Y. and his wife, Cindy McGregor, of Highlands Ranch, and Joel B. McGregor of Denver; a daughter-in-law, Kathy McGregor of Utah; sisters and brothers, Bonnie Waite, Kay Welch, Ted Welch, Bob Welch, and Jay Welch; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Y. McGregor; a son, Gerald Mark McGregor; and a sister and brothers, Mary Smith, Jerry Welch and Bill Welch.
A viewing will be held 6-7 p.m. Sunday at the Horan and McConaty Funeral Home, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1939 E. Easter Ave. in Littleton. An additional viewing will be held at the church 9-9:30 a.m. Monday. Burial will be 1 p.m. Monday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver. Meet at Staging Area 'A' by 12:50 p.m.
Donald LeRoy OCOBOCK
Donald LeRoy OCOBOCK, 49, of Loveland died at his residence in Loveland on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007.
Don was born in Albuquerque, N.M., on July 24, 1957, to Raymond L. and Opal M. (Snodgrass) Ocobock.
The family lived in Grants, N.M., and moved to Loveland about 1959, where Don attended school.
Don had worked in various occupations which included filling stations, S&S Sanitation, car mechanic, carpentry dealing with decks, fences and roofing, and as an electrician with Fiske Electric.
Don loved cars and working on them as a mechanic. He had also been a pit man at auto racetracks. His occupational abilities had narrowed due to some physical disabilities.
Don is survived by a son, Chad M. Ocobock of Wellington; a daughter, Stephanie Ocobock of Wellington; his mother, Opal M. Ocobock of Loveland; a brother, Ron Ocobock and wife Karen Diedrick Ocobock of Pierce; a sister, Cindy Diedrick and husband Jim of Greeley; and one grandson, Tallan Curtis of Wellington.
His father, Raymond L. Ocobock, predeceased him in death on Aug. 27, 1990.
Private cremation and family memorial services have been conducted.
