Ryan Marc VANDER WALL
Ryan Marc VANDER WALL died of liver cancer on Dec. 23, 2006, at the age of 29 years, in Seattle, Wash.
Ryan was born on Dec. 22, 1977, in Fort Collins. He attended Moore Elementary School, Johnson Elementary School, Webber Junior High School, and graduated from Heritage Christian High School in 1996.
After high school, Ryan traveled the country in his Mazda pickup, then lived in San Diego, Calif., for about eight years, where he worked at NetHere as a computer support technician.
In 2005, he moved to Seattle, and worked most recently for Google, the job of his dreams, as desktop support for the company.
Ryan loved life, loved his friends, his family, and lived with unconditional love and kindness toward all he met. Children were special to Ryan throughout his life. He went to his heavenly home with courage and peace after a short struggle with cancer, a result of the heart condition he lived with since birth. He will be greatly missed by Kendra, his friends around the country, and his family.
He is survived by his parents, Ken and Shirley Vander Wall of Fort Collins; siblings, Renee (Rick) Zienert of Belleville, Mich., and Matt (Emily) Vander Wall of Loveland; nieces and nephews, Megan, Jenna, Jason, Benjamin, Jasmine and Scott; partner, Kendra Wiig of Seattle; grandmother, Gertrude Hekman of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and numerous uncles and aunts.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Cornelius and Gertrude Vander Wall and Martin Hekman; cousins, Richard Vander Wall, Catherine, Cherie, and Carla Hekman.
Cremation has taken place at the Acacia Funeral Home in Seattle.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at Faith Evangelical Free Church, 3920 S. Shields St., Fort Collins. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
ANDRZEJEWSKI, Joseph
Joseph ANDRZEJEWSKI, 50, of Loveland, passed away July 15, 2008.
He was born on Nov. 12, 1957, in Sidney, Neb., to Joseph and Hope (Gregg) Andrzejewski. He moved to Loveland in 1991.
Joseph was a cook at Gabby's in Fort Collins, Colo., before becoming a cook for Widow McCoy's for 20 years.
He loved fishing, hunting, football, NASCAR racing and hockey. Joseph was quite a sports fan. He loved model cars and putting them together. He loved working on old cars and owned a 1974 Charger. He was very close with his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his sisters, Joyce Huwig of Berthoud, Colo., and Catherine Humrich of Fort Collins, Colo.; nieces, Debra and Mason Dunkerson of Loveland, Colo., Scott Capron and fiance' Tina Goode of Johnstown, Colo., Ashley Tabor and her daughter Ava Tabor of Montana, Deanna Dunkerson of Loveland, Colo.; nephews, Michael Mitchell III of Loveland, Colo., and Dillon Dunkerson of Loveland, Colo.; best friend, Mike Beldon of Loveland, Colo. Joseph was loved by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be at 4 p.m. July 24 at Allnutt Hunter Chapel's Reception Center.

Betty Jane ARNOLD
Betty Jane ARNOLD, 83 passed away at Poudre Valley Hospital on the morning of June 11.
Betty was born June 21, 1925, to Josephine and Vernon Pinhero.
Betty married James L. Arnold on July 9, 1955 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Betty worked for IBM in California during the early 1950s. She went to work for Woodward Governor in 1972 where she was an administrative assistant. She retired in 1982 and made spent the remaining years supporting kids and grandkids in all their activities.
She is survived by her husband James L. Arnold, children Jane Renz and husband Randy, Christine Koldeway, Jeffrey Arnold and wife Sally, Allan Arnold and wife Paula, and Cathy Fromm and husband Steve.
Grandchildren Kelly Gregory, Rick Wing, Michelle Wing, Nicholas Koldeway, Travis Koldeway, Derek Arnold, Danelle Arnold, Corbin Fromm and Courtney Fromm. Great-grandchild Andy Gregory.
The funeral service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at First Christian Church, 2000 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, Colo.

Polly Parker CLARKE
Polly Parker CLARKE passed away on June 21 at Loveland Good Samaritan Village at age 97.
Born in Omaha, Neb., on July 17, 1910, to Ada and Erdman Sedgwick Parker, Polly lived a full and adventurous life. Her early years were spent in Omaha and on a homestead in Goshen County, Wyo.
She graduated from North High School, Omaha, and from Grinnell College, Grinnell, Iowa. A fine student, she achieved academic honors including Phi Beta Kappa honors.
Her first job was teaching in a one-room school near Mancos, Colo. Each day she rode a mule to school and built a fire for her first- through eighth-grade students. In 1940, she moved to Denver where she met and married John Clarke in 1945.
Polly and John raised their two daughters in Urbandale, Iowa, where Polly taught kindergarten in the public schools. After retiring in 1972, the Clarkes moved to Loveland and then to Estes Park in 1982.
Polly loved to ski, hike and run, and lived a very active life well into her 80s. Always athletic but lacking opportunities to be involved in competitive sports, she had to wait until retirement to demonstrate her skills. She and John competed nationally and internationally in Master's Track events after retirement. Amazingly, at the time of her death, she still held a world record for age 80-85 at the 400-meter run. She also still holds four American records for ages 75-80 and 80-85 at 200 and 400 meters, all set more than 15 years ago.
Active in church and community activities, she served as a Stephen Minister at Community Church of the Rockies.
She is survived by two daughters, Betsy of Minneapolis and Carolyn of Pawtucket R.I.; two grandchildren, Alexis Jaggers and husband Matt Nelson of Portland, Ore., and Chris Jaggers of Portland. Five nieces and nephews and other family also survive.
Two services will be held. Friends, family and caregivers are invited to share memories of Polly on Friday night, July 25. At 2 o'clock on Saturday, July 26, a service will be held at Loveland Good Samaritan chapel. Check www.allnutt.com for more information.
Many thanks for the fine care provided at Loveland Good Samaritan by staff in Assisted Living, Health Care and through Care Companions. Additionally, the wonderful services provided by Hospice of Larimer County gave much comfort during the past eight months.

Barbara Lynn CLAUNCH
Barbara Lynn CLAUNCH, 47, of Woodbridge, Va., went to be with our Lord on July 11, 2008, at Potomac Hospital in Hospice Care.
Barbara was born on April 6, 1961, a daughter to James C. and Mary J. Stauffer originally from Pittsburgh, Pa., but now residing in Berthoud, Colo.
She graduated from Shaler High School, Glenshaw, Pa., in 1979. Barbara moved to Loveland, Colo., in 1979.
Barbara graduated magna cum laude in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in international business, marketing and finance from Regis University in Denver, Colo.
She lived in Colorado until 1994, when she married her husband, who is in the United States Air Force. Since that time, they have lived in several locations to include Oklahoma City, Okla.; Geilenkirchen, Germany; Yorktown, Va.; Warner Robins, Ga.; and currently Woodbridge, Va.
She worked as a marketing manager and sales executive in Colorado and held various sales and customer service positions while in Oklahoma, Germany, Georgia and Virginia.
They are active members at Lutheran Church of the Covenant in Dale City, Va.
Barbara is survived by: her loving husband, Lt. Col. Jonathan Claunch, and a loving daughter, Katelyn Claunch of Woodbridge, Va.; her father and mother; two sisters, Patti West and Lori Klochak of Berthoud, Colo.; two brothers, James Stauffer of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jeff Stauffer of Castle Rock, Colo.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with the Rev. Brian Morrow celebrant.
Private inurnment at Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery in Boulder.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory preferred to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and can be sent to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
Weston C. EHLE
Weston Cole Ehle, infant son of Aaron M. and Laura M. (Dildine) Ehle, was born June 23, 2008, in Denver. Weston died July 14, 2008, at The Children's Hospital.
Weston is survived by his wonderful parents, Aaron and Laura of Loveland, Colo.; grandparents, John and Chris Dildine and Tim and Linda Ehle, all of Loveland; great-grandparents, Alice Dildine of Mankato, Minn., and Ken and Barb Ehle of Mesa, Ariz.; uncles Tom Dildine and aunts Kelly and Kristi Ehle, all of Loveland; and a cousin, Kamryn Ehle of Loveland.
Private family services will be held at their home.

Philip Perry HILLIGOSS
Philip Perry HILLIGOSS, 86, of Mansfield, Ohio, died July 12, 2008, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colo., in the loving presence of his sons, daughters-in-law and several of his grandchildren.
Phil was born Oct. 1, 1921, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Perry P. and Nellie (Bittner) Hilligoss. He graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1940 and remained close with high school friends throughout his life. In 1990, Phil and his wife, Jean, traveled to Hawaii with classmates for his 50th class reunion.
Phil was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater as a Seabee in the Navy. Upon his return, he met and soon fell in love with Alice Jean Bright. They were married on Oct. 21, 1946, at Grace Episcopal Church in Mansfield.
Phil worked for the Westinghouse Electric Co. for 46 years in Mansfield and then in Columbus, Ohio. Phil and Jean raised their four children in Columbus, returning to Mansfield upon retirement.
Phil was a Boy Scout leader with Troop 380 in Columbus as well as a lifelong woodcarver and member of the Woodchippers, Columbus and Johnny Appleseed Chapters. Friends and family marveled over Phil's beautiful and whimsical creations. He belonged to the Masons' Mansfield Council No. 94 for 65 years and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Mansfield.
He is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Caroline Hilligoss of Loveland, Colo., John and Helen Hilligoss of Ault, Colo., and Mark and Barb Hilligoss of Hilliard, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Nathan Greaney of Dayton, Ohio, Molly, Hannah and Ethan Hilligoss and Etta Schwartz of Loveland, Colo., Michelle Backman and Amy and Lisa Hilligoss of Ault, Colo., Peter and Jeremy Hilligoss of Hilliard, Ohio; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, in 2007; his daughter Philann in 1989; and his brother Myron.
Phil was a gentle and loving man who always had a smile on his face. He was a devoted father whose patience and good nature were evident in everything he did. His children remember him sitting contentedly with their mother by his side, a woodcarving in progress in his hands and wood chips all around him. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Wappner Funeral Home, Ontario, Ohio. Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the service.

Bonnie M. HOLLETT
Bonnie M. HOLLETT, 75, of Loveland, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2008.
She was born on Oct. 11, 1932, in Black Forest, Colo., to Alva L. and Edith B. (Neilson) Sutliff. She lived in Pueblo from 1964 to 1977 before moving to Loveland in 1977. Bonnie was married to Vearl L. Hollett on Feb. 10, 1951, in Raton, N.M.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. Bonnie enjoyed sewing, needlework, quilting and reading.
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce E. Woodruff (John) of Euless, Texas, Ruby M. Noble (Arlen) of Loveland, Colo., and Debbie L. Lessly (Terry) of Plano, Texas; sister, Lois L. Prendergast (Ed) of Tucson, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and one brother.

Hugh A. KNEPPER
Hugh A. KNEPPER, 73, of Loveland, Colo., died on July 13, 2008, at the Hospice Care Center at McKee Medical Center.
He was born on Sept. 11, 1934, in Adrian, Mich., to Ralph Jene and Ruby Elizabeth (Tipton) Knepper. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.
On Sept. 6, 1952, he married Betty V. Salazar in Denver, Colo.
Hugh was career military and had worked as a boom operator in the U.S. Air Force, and after retiring from the Air Force, he later worked as a technician for Woodward Governor for 20 years, retiring in 1996.
He has lived in Loveland since 1972, moving here from Wichita, Kan.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Hugh enjoyed working around the house, fixing cars and learning about the computer.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Knepper of Loveland; sons, Alan Knepper of Loveland and Jim Knepper and wife Lisa of Beloit, Ill.; and daughter, Elizabeth Pratt and husband Warren of Santa Cruz, Calif.
Hugh is also survived by sisters, Carol Foster of Loveland, Colo. and Nancy Knepper of Hawaii; brothers, Richard Knepper of Texas, Chuck Knepper of Kentucky, Lee Knepper and wife JoAnne of Michigan; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 2:30 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2008, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with a recitation of the rosary being held prior to the service at 2 p.m.
Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
Interment will take place at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Fort Collins.

Ardyth Yvonne (Ardy) LAY
Ardyth Yvonne (Ardy) LAY, 73, of Loveland, Colo., died on July 7, 2008, at McKee Medical Center.
She was born on Feb. 8, 1935, in Sarles, N.D. After graduating from high school, she moved to San Francisco, Calif., where she met and married Bruce Lay. They traveled the world and entertained extensively.
Ardy moved to the East Bay area, where she became a member of the American Business Women's Association. She served as association president and coordinated many fundraising activities for college tuition scholarships.
Ardy is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Lay, and a sister, Connie Bradley.
Ardy worked in the accounting field and worked hard and enjoyed life.
She is survived by two sisters, Jewel White of Connecticut, and Gale Malik of Oregon; a brother, Marvin Knudson of Loveland, Colo.; and niece, Lorie Buchl and husband Greg of Broomfield, Colo.
Memorial service is Thursday, July 17, 2008, at Darrell Howe Mortuary in Lafayette, Colo., at 11 a.m.
