ISAAK, Mary Jane, 82, of Longmont died Monday, April 25, 2005, at Applewood Living Center.

Johnson, William Roy

June 4, 1940 - April 19, 2005

William Roy Johnson of Longmont died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at his home. He was 64.

He was born June 4, 1940, in Hibbing, Minn., to William and Mildred (Gustafson) Johnson. He lived in Side Lake, Minn., and attended Assumption Hall Catholic School.

Mr. Johnson graduated from Hibbing High School in 1958 and from Hibbing Junior College in 1960.

He married Anadell Lind on Nov. 4, 1961, in Hibbing.

Mr. Johnson lived in Roseville, Minn., until 1968, when he moved to San Jose, Calif. He moved to Longmont in December 2001.

He worked for Sierra Chemical Co. beginning in 1968 and played a key role in the development of Osmocote, a controlled-release fertilizer subsequently purchased by Scotts Co. He retired in January 2001 as a senior scientist of CRF operations.

A member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in San Jose, Mr. Johnson enjoyed making wine, building computers, building his vacation home at the Johnson Family Wilderness in Pillager, Minn., and hosting family gatherings.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of Longmont; a son, Brian David Johnson and his wife Heidi of Peachtree City, Ga.; a daughter, Stephanie Johnson Caracalas and her husband Michael of Erie; two sisters, Karen Johnson Mastro and her husband Michael of Naples, Fla., and Patricia Johnson Johnson and her husband Robert of Coon Rapids, Minn.; six grandchildren, Taylor, Connor and Andrew Johnson, and Hannah, Nikolas and Ty Caracalas; two nephews, Anthony and Angelo Mastro; and two nieces, Maggie and Nicole Johnson.

Private services will be held. Cremation will take place at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Boulder and Broomfield Counties or the American Cancer Society in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont 80501.

LEIDY, Jane W.

LEIDY, Jane W., 80, of Longmont died Friday, April 22, 2005, at Longmont United Hospital. Cremation arrangements are being entrusted to Crist Mortuary. A private internment will take place in Philadelphia.

McCONNELL, Raymond Claude “R.C.”

Oct. 6, 1991 — April 10, 2005

Raymond Claude “R.C.” McCONNELL of Longmont died Sunday, April 10, 2005, in St. Paul, Minn. He was 13.

R.C. was born Oct. 6, 1991, in Shady Grove, Md., to James and Mary (Dillon) McConnell. He moved to Longmont in 2001 from Gaithersburg, Md., and was most recently a seventh-grader at Longmont Academy.

R.C. was a member of Boy Scouts Troop 65, Longs Peak Council. He loved skiing, hiking, canoeing and taking part in outdoor activities with the Scouts. He was looking forward to taking scuba diving lessons in preparation for an upcoming dive trip. He was a talented video gamer.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jean Dillon.

R.C. is survived by his parents Jim and Mary McConnell of Longmont; two sisters, Sally and Victoria McConnell of Longmont; his grandparents, Paul and LaNelle McConnell of Annapolis, Md., and Enoch Dillon of Bethesda, Md.; 16 aunts and uncles, Paul and Trish McConnell of Malmesbury, England, Bill and Kay McConnell of Hummelstown, Pa., Mike and Karen McConnell of Harwood, Md., Margaret McConnell of Stevensville, Md., Mary and Hadrian Parsons of Arnold, Md., Tom Dillon of Gaithersburg, John Dillon of Kensington, Md., Maura Dillon of Bethesda, Miriam and Peter Hines of Gainesville, Fla., and Rose and Edward Wallington of Gaithersburg; as well as his many cousins.

There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, at LifeBridge Christian Church, David Bradshaw officiating. Visitation for friends and family will be held two hours prior to the funeral at LifeBridge. A private interment with friends and family will be held.

McILVANEY, Connie M.

April 6, 1939 - April 21, 2005

Connie M. McILVANEY of Longmont died at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 21, 2005. She was 66.

Born April 6, 1939, in Wichita, Kan., to Roy and Lola (Frazier) Chandler, she spent most of her life in the Hygiene and Longmont area, graduating from Longmont High School in 1957.

On Nov. 25, 1957, she married John P. McIlvaney in Longmont. They made their home in the Hygiene area, worked at Micro Motion and retired in 2003.

Mrs. McIlvaney loved all kinds of sports, especially the Denver Broncos. She liked to crochet and play the organ and piano and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001.

Mrs. McIlvaney is survived by two sons, Dan R. McIlvaney of Great Falls, Mont., and Patrick A. McIlvaney of Longmont; a daughter, Jaci McIlvaney of Firestone; and two brothers, George Chandler and his wife Donna of Longmont and Rex Chandler and his wife Elma of Longmont.

Arrangements have been handled by Howe Mortuary in Longmont. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 25, at Howe Mortuary. Interment will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.

PANETTA, Stephanie

PANETTA, Stephanie, 51, of Longmont died Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Longmont United Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 28, at the Rocky Mountain Christian Church, 9447 Niwot Road with Cris Crisfield officiating. SCHWECHHEIMER, Clella I. “Jimmie”

Oct. 7, 1908 — April 22, 2005

Clella I. “Jimmie” SCHWECHHEIMER of Longmont died Friday, April 22, 2005, at Applewood Living Center. She was 96.

She was born Oct. 7, 1908, to Earl and Leona (Moon) Dugan in Green, Kan.

She graduated from Clay Center Community High School in 1927. She entered nurses training at Research Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

She married Leroy Goodman in 1928. He preceded her in death in 1952. She then married Herbert Schwechheimer Nov. 4, 1981.

She worked at Western Auto as a medical assistant and then returned to Research Hospital as a cashier until her retirement in 1979.

Mrs. Schwechheimer and her husband spent several summers at their cabin in Peaceful Valley, Colo. They moved from Missouri to Longmont in 1991 to be near family and the mountains.

Mrs. Schwechheimer enjoyed dancing, playing cards, knitting and her three dogs.

She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1952; her second husband in 2004; her parents; one infant brother, Arlo; a brother, Arland “Sparky” Dugan; and a sister, Ihla Schwechheimer.

She is survived by a brother, Lowell Dugan and his wife Betty of Longmont; a niece, Cheryl Kimbrough and her husband Leon of Kansas City; a nephew, Larry Dugan and his wife Fran of Boulder; and many great nieces and nephews.

Memorial service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Bob Ritzen of HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties officiating. Cremation will take place at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. SLOANE, Ruth L.

Feb. 17, 1927 - April 22, 2005

Ruth L. SLOANE of Longmont died Friday, April 22, 2005, at Longmont United Hospital following an extended illness. She was 78.

She was born Feb. 17, 1927, in Akron to Guy and Emma (Kahler) Manhalter. She grew up on her family's farm near Akron and graduated from Akron High School in 1945.

She married Floyd H. Sloane on March 16, 1947, in Akron. The couple made their home briefly in Sterling, until moving to Longmont in 1949.

Mrs. Sloane began her long career in real estate as an administrative assistant at The Barnard Agency, Inc. in 1953. She later became an agent and was broker-owner of The Barnard Agency, Inc. for over 25 years.

She will be remembered by family and friends as a hard worker, loving mother and devoted wife.

Mrs. Sloane is survived by her husband of Longmont; a son, Scott H. Sloane and his wife, Johnna of Longmont; four grandchildren, Megan, Christopher, Taylor and Madison; two brothers, Wayne Manhalter and his wife Roseland of Oklahoma City and Donald Manhalter of Sterling; a sister, Gladys Kloefkorn and her husband, Vernon of Edmond, Okla; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Manhalter; and a sister, Helen Jefferson.

Cremation arrangements have been taken care of by Howe Mortuary, Longmont. A private family remembrance will be held at a later date.

STILES, Jacqueline J.

Dec. 23, 1923 - April 23, 2005

Jacqueline J. STILES of Longmont died Saturday, April 23, 2005, in Longmont. She was 81.

She was born Dec. 23, 1923, in Longmont to Lennie M. and Margaret L. (Woolley) Herring.

She graduated from Lafayette High School in 1941, and earned a bachelor's degree in arts and science in 1945 from the University of Colorado. She was a lifelong Boulder County resident.

She married Charles D. Stiles in Long Beach, Calif., on June 8, 1946.

Mrs. Stiles was a homemaker, a mother and a Methodist. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority, was a master bridge player, and enjoyed gardening, sewing and golfing.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Herring.

She is survived by her husband Charles of Longmont; three daughters, Kathryn Lechman and her husband James of Brighton, Sandra Roberts and her husband Tim of Olathe, and Terri Alkayali and her husband Ahmad of Pauma Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren, Kimberly Johnson, Jeff Salmen, David and Michael Campbell; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Graveside service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Mountain View Memorial Park in Boulder. Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties or the National Parkinson Foundation and may be sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont, CO 80501.

TAYLOR, Anne Marie

Oct. 12, 1918 - April 16, 2005

Anne Marie TAYLOR formerly of Lyons, died Saturday, April 16, 2005, in Mesa, Ariz. She was 86.

She was born Oct. 12, 1918, in Kimball, Neb., to Alvina Tjardes. She lived and went to school in Banner County, Neb.

She married Dale Robert Taylor on Nov. 26, 1936, in Banner County.

Mrs. Taylor farmed and was a pipeliner with her husband early in her marriage. They traveled extensively within the United States until they moved to Lyons in the early 1960s. She then helped her husband in the rock quarries and later worked at Head Ski until her retirement.

She was a member of Bethel Temple, New Creation Church in Longmont and Church of the Nazarene in Boulder. She was a volunteer for Food Share and Elder Share in Boulder.

Mrs. Taylor loved the Lord and shared this with her family and friends. She also lived for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going to garage sales and was an avid cookbook and doll collector.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by a daughter, Billie Lynn Boss and her husband Dale of Mesa; two brothers, Gerald and Max Snyder; a sister, June Otteson; four grandchildren, Joni Bromley and her husband Brom of Queek Creek, Ariz., Terri Kage and her husband Claude of Fort Lupton, Tina Mares and her husband Matt of Frederick and Bob Martin and his wife Mandy of Longmont; six great-grandchildren, Tim and Brittani Kage, Chantal and Draton Mares, Glenn Aubin and Katrina Bromley; a nephew, Jim Taylor; and other numerous nieces and nephews.

TREPTOW, Retha, passed away April 25, 2005, at Longmont United Hospital.

Babl, Linda Claire

Sept. 5, 1948 - Dec. 14, 2005

Linda Claire Babl died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was 57.

Mrs. Babl was born Sept. 5, 1948, in Wausau, Wis., the third daughter of Harry and Arlet (Meuret) Schield.

On July 18, 1970, she married Aaron Babl in Wausau. They made their home in Colorado, California and Wisconsin, moving to Longmont in 1989.

Mrs. Babl received her bachelor's degree in communicative disorders, summa cum laude, and her master's in speech and language from the University of Wisconsin. She worked in school's special education departments and rehabilitation facilities. After multiple sclerosis struck, she worked as a Mary Kay consultant.

She loved her Yorkshire terriers and being a hockey mom. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, eating out, laughing and spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for showing strength and courage throughout her struggle with multiple sclerosis.

Mrs. Babl was preceded in death by her father; and a brother-in-law, Mark Babl.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years; two sons, Nick and Greg; her mother; three sisters, Susan Ingerson and her husband David, Phyllis Euley and her husband David, Kathy Mesalk and her husband Thomas; her mother- and father-in-law, Lawrence and Regina Babl; five sisters-in-law, Marilyn Urban and her husband Stu, Laurie Johnston and her husband Bill, Jessica Zoromski and her husband David, Julianne Steffeck and her husband Patrick, Pam Schroeter and her husband Jim; two brothers-in-law, Dave Babl and his wife Joni and Gary Babl and his wife Kathy; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2006, at First United Methodist Church, 350 11th St., Longmont. The Rev. Dr. G. Bruce Maxwell will officiate. A hospitality gathering will be hosted by Bill and Mary Goodwin following the service at 3317 Camden Drive, Longmont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Colorado, 700 Broadway, Suite 808, Denver 80203-3442 or HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties, 2594 Trailridge Drive East, Suite A, Lafayette 80026.

Nichole Alanna Marie Borkovec-Lauer

Nichole Alanna Marie Borkovec-Lauer of Lafayette died March 20, 2006, in Lafayette. She was 25.

Mrs. Borkovec-Lauer was born July 29, 1980, in Albuquerque, N.M., to Deborah G. Borkovec.

Mrs. Borkovec-Lauer attended Fairview High School in Boulder.

Formerly of Louisville, Longmont and Boulder, she was a resident of Lafayette since 2004.

She married Josh Bolt, and they divorced. She married Davian Lauer in 2005.

Mrs. Borkovec-Lauer worked as a secretary, artist and writer. She enjoyed writing, poetry, baseball, sewing and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

Mrs. Borkovec-Lauer was preceded in death by her grandfather, George 'Bud' Borkovec in 1988.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Dylan Bolt of Lafayette and Avery Borkovec of Longmont; her mother and stepfather, Wayne Holmgren of Longmont; grandmother, Shirley Borkovec of Boulder; and stepsister Abby Borkovec of Longmont.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, April 1, 2006, at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 904 14th St., in Boulder. The Rev. Paul Huesing will be the celebrant.
