DREHER, Marie, 75, of Longmont died at her home Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Howe Mortuary from 2 to 8 p.m. with family present from 2 to 4 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, Dec. 5, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Foothills Gardens of Memory. Memorials are requested to Hospice of Boulder County, 2534 Trailridge Drive East, Lafayette, CO 80026.

GEORGIANNA, Ernistine Haight

Dec. 23, 1920 - Nov. 27, 2002

Ernistine Haight Georgianna of Longmont died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at Longmont United Hospital. She was 81.

Mrs. Georgianna was born Dec. 23, 1920, in Bronx, N.Y., to Harry and Regina (Schenk) Rose. She was married twice, first to Frank Haight on March 24, 1947, in Yokohama, Japan, and then to Frank Georgianna on Dec. 22, 1966, in New York.

Mrs. Georgianna received her bachelor of arts degree from Hunter College in New York City, attended Purdue University in Indiana and graduated from N.P.AP in New York.

She was a research assistant on the atom bomb project from 1944-45, a physicist at the Ballistic Research Lab in Aberdeen, Md. In 1945, she taught physics in Japan from 1946-48, was a psychoanalyst in New York from 1959-73 and in Boulder from 1973 to 2000, and was a costume designer and executive producer of the Boulder Repertory Co. from 1974 to 2000. She moved to Longmont in April of 2002.

Mrs. Georgianna is survived by her husband and their cats.

No services have been announced. Cremation will be held by Erlinger Cremation and Funeral Service.

GILL, Harriett Ann

Jan. 4, 1923 - Nov. 25, 2002

Harriett Ann Gill of Boulder died of lung cancer Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, in Louisville. She was 79.

She was born Jan. 4, 1923, to Richard P. and Bernice (Carey) Leslie in Battle Creek, Mich. She graduated from Western Michigan University in 1952.

On June 28, 1941, she married Mansel F. Gill in Battle Creek. She moved to Boulder County in 1966.

Mrs. Gill was a school teacher for 35 years in Michigan and Boulder. She was an original staff member at Eisenhower Elementary in Boulder.

She was a member of the National Education Society, Colorado Education Association, Michigan Education Association and chairperson for the Democratic Precinct.

Mrs. Gill enjoyed traveling and visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. She will be remembered as a people person who touched many lives.

Mrs. Gill was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Jane Kuit; and a son, Richard Gill.

She is survived by a son, Wynn Gill and his wife Elaine of Longmont; two grandsons, Michael Gill and his wife Becki of Longmont and Joshua Gill of Ponchatoula, La.; two granddaughters, Beth Little and her husband Josh of Longmont and Malia Gill of Ponchatoula; two great-grandsons, Jacob Little of Longmont and Joey Stauffer of Longmont; and a great-granddaughter, Megan Little of Longmont.

Visitation will not be held.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Lyons United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Joanne Brown officiating.

Interment will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.

HARRINGTON, Carol

Dec. 20, 1934 - Dec. 1, 2002

Carol Harrington of Longmont, recently of Cerritos, Calif., died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002. She was 68.

She was born Dec. 20, 1934 on the south side of Chicago, Ill. She was a lifelong Chicago resident in spirit.

She married James Harrington on Dec. 29, 1956, shortly after she graduated from St. Michael Central High School. She later graduated from Wright Junior College in Chicago.

She devoted her life to the nurturing, care and well being of her family.

She is survived by her husband, James; two daughters, Eileen Stenzel and Maureen Harrington; a son, Patrick Harrington; and by two grandchildren, Katie and Phillip Stenzel.

A memorial service will beheld Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mr. William Lee of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church officiating. Interment at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.

HOPMAN, William A. "Bill"

June 19, 1956 - Nov. 29, 2002

William A. "Bill" Hopman of Boulder died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at Boulder Community Hospital of natural causes. He was 46.

He was born June 19, 1956, to Vernon and Mildred Elizabeth (Morley) Hopman in Boulder.

He was a Colorado native who lived in Wheat Ridge, Grand Junction, Longmont and Boulder.

Mr. Hopman was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He loved to read, enjoyed the outdoors and loved music, especially the Beatles.

Mr. Hopman was preceded in death by his mother on Oct. 26, 2002.

He is survived by his father of Longmont; four brothers, Jim Hopman and his wife Juliana of Denver, Steve Hopman and his wife Eunice of Longmont, Larry Hopman and his wife Denise of Longmont and Joe Hopman and his wife Rose of Longmont; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation has been held at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.

Recitation of the rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with the Rev. Mickey Flaska of the church officiating.

Inurnment will be in Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont 80501.

KRUGER, Gathel E. (Post)

May 26, 1914 - Oct. 22, 2002

Gathel E. (Post) Kruger of Lansing, Mich., formerly of Longmont, died Oct. 22, 2002, at TenderCare Nursing Home in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. She was 88.

She was born in Elsie, Mich., on May 26, 1914.

She lived in Longmont from 1957 to 1965 and was employed at the Daily Times-Call.

Mrs. Kruger is survived by a son, Roger L. Post and his wife Sharon of Longmont; a daughter, Nancy E. (Post) Hall of Blanchard, Mich.; a grandson, Edward S. Post; and a great-grandson, Edward S. Post II.

No funeral services have been announced. Her body is being donated to the Department of Anatomy at Michigan State University.

LARSON, Wilbur

LARSON, Wilbur, 90, of Grand Junction, formerly of Longmont, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at his residence. No visitation will be held. Graveside services will be held today, Dec. 2, 2002, at Foothills Gardens of Memory. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Pallative Care of Western Colorado, P.O. Box 60307, Grand Junction, CO 81506. Lewellen Longmont Memorial Chapel is handling the arrangements.

MERRIMAN, Margaret S.

Aug. 6, 1916 - Nov. 28, 2002

Margaret S. Merriman of Longmont died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at Boulder Community Hospital. She was 86.

Mrs. Merriman was born Aug. 6, 1916, in Cliff Mine, Pa., to Alfred and Mary (Myers) Belgie. She married Donald Lester Merriman on Sept. 4, 1945, in Butler, Pa.

Mrs. Merriman was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Leslie R. Turner.

She is survived by a son, Gary L. Merriman of Niwot; a daughter, Donna L. Hyatt of Longmont; two sisters, Elsie Strazisar of Imperial, Pa., and Mary Ceyrolles of Oakdale, Pa.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

No services are scheduled. Cremation will be held at Erlinger Cremation Service in Longmont.

O'DELL, Willard F.

July 28, 1925 - Nov. 24, 2002

Willard F. O'Dell died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was 77.

He was born July 28, 1925, to Arthur and Mary (Fellers) ODell in St. Elmo, Ill.

On March 16, 1946, he married Bessie Welch.

He traveled the Midwestern states, working in oil fields.

In 1951, Mr. O'Dell moved to Colorado, where he worked for S.D. Johnson, which later became Baird and Pfeiffer Drilling Co. He retired in 1995 from LaFarge Paving.

In 1999, he moved to Greeley after living in Longmont for 27 years.

He will be remembered as a hard worker who was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren. All who knew him treasured his sense of humor, quick smile and willingness to lend a hand.

Mr. O'Dell was preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of Greeley; a son, Gary Childress and his wife Joan of Longmont; two daughters, Sandra Jordan and her husband Gene of Greeley and Debra ODell of Greeley; a brother, Mark O'Dell of Arvada; a sister, Faye Jones of Robinson, Ill.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been held.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Allnutt Funeral Service, Macy Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 702 13th St., Greeley 80631.

SEM, Lom, 76, of Longmont, died at Longmont United Hospital on Friday, Nov. 29, 2002. A visitation will be held at Howe Mortuary on Friday from 1 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be on Saturday, Dec. 7, at Howe Mortuary at 8 a.m. Burial will follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory.

STICKLER, Mary S., 96, of Longmont, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at Applewood Living Center.

WILMOT-DENINGER, Marlena

WILMOT-DENINGER, Marlena, 79, of Longmont, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at Hospice Care Center in Louisville.

WRIGHT, Tiffanie Anne

May 14, 1988 - Nov. 28, 2002

Tiffanie Anne Wright of Longmont died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at her home. She was 14.

Tiffanie was born May 14, 1988, in Boulder to Kevin C. and Shelly (Timmer) Wright of Longmont.

Tiffanie was a student at Ute Creek Secondary Academy and previously attended Heritage Middle School. She was a lifelong resident of Longmont and enjoyed going on long walks.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandfather, Robert Pacenka.

She is survived by her parents; a brother, Travis Wright of Longmont; a sister, Tayler Wright of Longmont; five grandparents, Dennis and Connie Fischels of Waterloo, Iowa, Teddy Wright of Vallejo, Calif., and DeWayne and Kathy Wright of Tucson, Ariz.; two uncles, Scott Timmer and his wife Jean, and Christopher Timmer; and three aunts, Jennifer Fischels, Jodi Fischels and Kelly Brown; and several cousins.

Visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Marilyn Yoder Boeke, the chaplain at Longmont United Hospital, officiating. Friends are welcome to join the family for a reception at the Longmont Moose Lodge after the funeral. A cremation will be held place following the funeral at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.

Contributions may be made in Tiffanies memory to her family.

ZUNIGA, Aristea

Sept. 3, 1904 - Nov. 27, 2002

Aristea Zuniga of Longmont died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at Applewood Living Center of natural causes. She was 98.

She was born Sept. 3, 1904, to Andres and Juanita (Augilar) Vasquez in Bridgeport, Texas.

She married Leon Zuniga in Austin, Texas.

Mrs. Zuniga was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Church. She moved to Longmont from Texas in 1940.

She was active in the Retired Senior Volunteer Program for 12 years. She received several outstanding certificates for her contributions as a volunteer. She loved gardening and her roses.

Mrs. Zuniga will be remembered as a loving mother. She was the last surviving family member of her generation.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 16, 1979.

Mrs. Zuniga is survived by five sons, Ray Zuniga and his wife Tencha of Dallas, Julio Zuniga and his wife Tillie of Longmont, Rudy Zuniga and his wife Martha of Beloit, Wis., Louis Zuniga and his wife Carol of Greenfield, Wis., and Jesse Zuniga of Longmont; three daughters, Mary Lujan and her husband Nacor of Longmont; Dolores Sandoval and her husband Silviano of Longmont and Regina Zuniga of Longmont; 53 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and five great-great-great-grandchildren.

Recitation of the rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont.
