*** Beverly Jaye Thompson Harp, 71, Grand Junction, died Feb. 20, 2008, at La Villa Grande. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Dan Orin McClure of North Pole, Alaska and Kenneth Arvane of Grand Junction; a daughter, Vicky Gale Hayden of Bethlehem, Ga.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

*** Bertha Edith Keiter, 86, Grand Junction, died Feb. 25, 2008, at Community Hospital. Private services will take place at a later date.

Mrs. Keiter was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Richard C. of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Yates of Colorado Springs; two daughters, Rebecca of Elizabeth and Kathy Mull of Grand Junction; one brother; three sisters; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

*** Winston Meyer, 85, Grand Junction, died Feb. 23, 2008, at his home. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Orchard Mesa Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Fred and Will, both of Grand Junction; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

*** Kenneth Peak, 75, Grand Junction, died Feb. 25, 2008, at Family Health West. Private services will take place at a later date.

Mr. Peak was a carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; a daughter, Star Misner of Cimarron; and one brother, Michael of Marietta, Ga.

*** Andrew John Rebeck, 95, Hotchkiss, died Feb. 24, 2008, at his home. Services will take place at 10 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Paonia with interment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret “Mary” of Hotchkiss.

*** Annie Roberta Varnon Thompson, 99, Grand Junction, died Feb. 22, 2008, at La Villa Grande. Services will take place at 10 a.m. today at the Church of Christ.

Survivors include one daughter, Darlene Rettig of Grand Junction; one sister, Leona Coday of Skellytown, Texas; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.

*** Former Grand Junction resident William Andrew Beyrer, 73, Pueblo, died Feb. 25, 2008. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at Martin Mortuary. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Mr. Beyrer was a ranch hand and Navy veteran of the Korean conflict.

Survivors include one brother, Terry of Grand Junction.

*** Buddy W. Gordon, 71, Delta, died Feb. 26, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Private services will take place.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; three sons, Joe of Delta, Buddy Jr. of Colorado Springs and Justin of Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter, Rhonda Sihler of Pasadena, Calif.; one sister, Mary Andre of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

*** Betty Keith, 75, Grand Junction, died Feb. 26, 2008, at her home. Services are pending.

Mrs. Keith was an independent sale consultant for Avon for 41 years.

Survivors include four sons, Robert Boyer, Bruce Boyer and Darreld Boyer, all of Grand Junction, and Arlon Boyer of Clifton; one daughter, Renee Wilson of Grand Junction; one brother, Leroy Workman of Grand Junction; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

*** Roger Lee Martin Sr., 55, Clifton, died Feb. 24, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Visitation will take place from 4-6 p.m. Friday at Martin Mortuary.

Mr. Martin was a truck driver for the Roaring Fork Co-op in Carbondale.

Survivors include his wife, Samantha; five sons, Roger Jr. of Norfolk, Va., Chadwick of Osage Beach, Mo., Toby of Hutto, Texas, and Tommy and Codie, both of Clifton; two daughters, Stacie Bendele of Charlestown, Ind., and Nikki Gray of Galesburg, Ill.; his mother, Doris Ebbing of Osage Beach; three brothers, Paul Jr., and Allen Sr., both of Galesburg, and Danny of Osage Beach; three sisters, Carolyn Treadway of Osage Beach, Joanna Dixon of Galesburg and Monica Gilbert of Ivy Bend, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.

*** David T. Stewart, 72, Fruita, died Feb. 26, 2008, at Family Health West. Services are pending.

Mr. Stewart was a maintenance supervisor.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon L.; two sons, Ron of California and Mark Scott of Washington; two daughters, Tracy Lyon of Fruita and Carol Schilling of Mack; one sister, Gladys Partch of Montrose; and two grandchildren.

*** Helen C. Foster, 90, Grand Junction, died Feb. 28, 2008, at her home. Services will take place at a later date.

Mrs. Foster was a wife, mother and homemaker.

Survivors include one daughter, Norma Wunderwald of Grand Junction; one sister, Clara Mae White of Hettinger, N.D.; and two grandchildren.

*** William Gallegos, 86, Grand Junction, died Feb. 25, 2008, at his home. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Monday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Mr. Gallegos was a truck driver.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherry of Denver and Diane Wetzel of Grand Junction; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

*** Frances J. Fhuere, 99, Fruita, died Feb. 29, 2008, at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the International Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery on Orchard Mesa.

Ms. Fhuere was a homemaker, nurse and teacher.

Survivors include one son, Robert of Grand Junction; one daughter, Patricia Songster of Palisade; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

*** Ira C. Jones, 75, Paradox, died Feb. 26, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Red Church in Paradox. Burial will follow at Paradox Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mona; two sons, Thomas Ira and Robert Chadwick; two daughters, Sherry Denise and Tammy Maried; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

*** Joy L. Smith, 78, Montrose, died Feb. 27, 2008, at Montrose Memorial Hospital.

Visitation for family and friends will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Crippin Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at Crippin Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Dallas Park Cemetery in Ridgway.

*** Luetta Joyce Smith, 76, Grand Junction, died Feb. 26, 2008, at Mantey Heights Care Center.

Services are pending.

Ms. Smith was a switchboard operator for Mountain Bell-Qwest.

Survivors include one sister, Phyllis L. Williams of Grand Junction.

*** Fern L. Cole, 84, Delta, died Feb. 28, 2008, at his son’s home in Delta.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mesa View Mortuary. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Fairview Cemetery in Salida.

Mrs. Cole was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Carl of Delta and Jim of Kenai, Alaska; four daughters, Loretta Baumfalk of Glenrock, Wyo., Mary Reeder of Rock Springs, Wyo., Emma Ripley of Carlsbad, N.M., and Sharon Codner of Rawlins, Wyo.; three brothers, Ervin Tuxhorn of Byers, Harold Tuxhorn of Hutchinson, Kan., and Chuck Tuxhorn of Norfolk, Va.; one sister, Wanda Ebert of Arizona; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

*** Vivian E. Frazier, 83, Hotchkiss, died Feb. 28, 2008, at Delta County Memorial Hospital.

No services are planned at this time.

Mrs. Frazier was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Gary G. of Shepard, Mont., and Gerl of Rocklin, Calif.; one daughter, Kay Barker-Adams of Hotchkiss; two sisters, Anna Maye Roaslie of Bossier City, La., and Lucile Guss of Chicago; 10 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.

*** William C. Straight Sr., 95, Grand Junction, died Feb. 28, 2008, at Mantey Heights Care Center.

Services will be in Basin, Wyo.

Mr. Straight was a cowboy and rancher.

Survivors include one son, William C. Jr., of Grand Junction; one brother, Boyd of Laurel, Mont.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

*** Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Langerak-Clark, 68, Clifton, died March 25, 2008, at her home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

She worked for various banks in Grand Junction.

Survivors include her husband, James Clark; one son, Colby Olford of Collbran; one stepson, Jason Clark of Chandler, Ariz.; one brother, John Langerak of Lincoln, Maine; one sister, Shirley Vitus of Grand Junction; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

*** Arthur L. Sutton Jr., 70, Grand Junction, died March 9, 2008, at Aspen Ridge Care Center. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, 1326 N. First St., Grand Junction.

Survivors include his wife, Joanne; two daughters, Deborah McEvers of Sacramento, Calif., and Patricia Warren of Stevensville, Mich.; two brothers, Gerald of Albuquerque, N.M., and Robert of Joseph City, Ariz.; two sisters, Margaret Ann Wilhite of Durango and Irilla Foreman of Modesto, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

*** Jennifer Nicole Torbet, 22, Grand Junction, died March 26, 2008, near De Beque. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Martin Mortuary.

She worked in child care.

Survivors include her husband, Dusty Reeves; one son, Rodney Reeves of Grand Junction; her parents, Darrin and Sandy O’Brien of Grand Junction; and one brother, Arrin O’Brien of Grand Junction.

*** Rosa Lee Enlow, 89, Rifle, died April 3, 2008.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home in Rifle.

She was a bookkeeper.

Survivors include two daughters, Jan Enlow and Zoe Lindauer, both of Parachute; and four grandchildren.

*** Kile MacAdams, 97, Delta, died April 3, 2008, at Willowtree of Delta.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Mesa View Mortuary chapel.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will be at Cedaredge Cemetery.

Mr. MacAdams worked for the state highway department.

Survivors include his wife, Wanna; one son, Bob of Green River, Wyo.; one daughter Sandra Self of Taft, Calif.; one brother, Jack of Delta; five granddaughters; 20 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

*** Lena A. Mayo, 98, Grand Junction, died April 4, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

A celebration of life will be at 5:30 p.m. today at Martin Mortuary.

Survivors include three sons, Alvin of Grand Junction, Harry of Weatherford, Texas, and Raymond of Midway, Utah; one daughter, Katherine Ann Cochran of Gilmer, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

*** Donald David McDonald, 61, Clifton, died March 31, 2008, at Mount Garfield Assisted Living.

Survivors include three daughters, Sheila Romero and Sherry Arias, both of Denver, and Shelly Robertson of Grand Junction; one brother, Tim of Omaha, Neb.; one sister, Judy McDonald of Grand Junction; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
